By the time we get to the end of this week, we will know which 16 teams will be moving on to the knockout stage of the 2022 World Cup. 8 teams have already punched their tickets, so we are beginning to see the bracket take shape. The big question waiting to be answered is who will end up as the champion. Given the surprises we have already seen, this is not an easy question to answer, and harder still until we know how the bracket looks at the end of the group stage. Let’s try and break it all down so you can continue with your bets and you don’t miss your chance to wager on the FIFA World Cup Odds.
Who Will Be the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 Champion?
Top Half of the Bracket
We have a couple of Round of 16 matchups set in this part of the draw. The USA will go against the Netherlands, while Argentina and Australia will hook up in one of the other games. All we can do at the moment is predict the other 2 games in this part of the bracket. I think Spain look good to win Group E, and they would most likely face Croatia or Belgium, although Morocco might upset that party. In the other game. Brazil will go against the team that finishes 2nd in Group G, which is still wide open.
Prior to the start of the tournament, I had Brazil and Argentina meeting in the final, but there is no way that can happen now. There is, though, a very good chance that these two will meet on the way to the Final. If that does happen, then my money would be on Brazil.
Bottom Half of the Bracket
Like the top half of the draw, we already have a pair of matchups settled and ready to go. England will go up against Senegal, while France will play Poland. The winner of those games will meet in the next round. The winner of Group F will meet the runner-up in Group E. The current state of the groups in question could throw up any number of different permutations. Portugal looks good to win Group H, so they would most likely face Switzerland in this round, so the next couple of days are going to be interesting.
From the teams in the bottom half of the bracket, you have to say that it has been France that has looked the most impressive. Despite the fact that they lost some key players to injury ahead of the tournament, they still look like one of the teams to beat.
World Cup Final Prediction
With my original prediction up in smoke, I guess I have to change things up and go with a new one, up to a point. Prior to the start of the World Cup, I had Brazil winning it all, and they have done nothing that would make me question that pick. I think it will be France that will face them in the final, which you have to say would be a truly fantastic matchup. We’ll see how things go once the group stage ends, but this is where I am at right now.
I have read enough, I need to place my bet now. What to do?
