Why Senegal is a good play versus the Netherlands
Senegal boasts enough UEFA League talent to give the Dutch a serious scare. Goalie Eduoard Mendy plays for Chelsea.
20-year-old Pape Matar Sarr is an up and coming midfielder for Tottenham and Cheikhou Kouyate plays for Nottingham Forest. In fact, almost every player on the current roster throws down for a UEFA League squad.
Not only that, but Senegal has played great soccer leading up to the World Cup, beating South American team Bolivia and drawing 1-1 against the underrated Iranians.

Why Netherlands is a good play versus Senegal
Unlike many of his European counterparts, Dutch skipper Louis van Gaal used the Nations League group stage in September to ready his team for the World Cup.
The Dutch beat Wales twice, Poland once, and Belgium twice. The first victory over Belgium was a 4-1 demolition. Belgian star Kevin De Bruyne played in that match. So the Orange’s victory was legit.
van Gaal and the Orange are shooting for much more than a win over Senegal. The Dutch feel they can take the World Cup title home to Holland. Doing so means starting out the tournament with a big win over their top rival in Group A.

Final Betting Analysis: Senegal vs. Netherlands
Senegal versus the Netherlands should have been a showcase of Sadio Mane’s talent. But on Wednesday, Senegal said that the Bayern Munich superstar wouldn’t step onto the pitch for his country at this World Cup.
Mane suffered an injury in late October. He was on his way back, but it’s too late for him to be in good enough condition to play.
Senegal has enough decent players to keep this close. But at the end, Senegal’s players just aren’t good enough to hang with Memphis Depay, Frenkie de Jong, Luuk de Jong, and Steven Bergwijn.
If Senegal manages to gain possession and push an attack, one of the best backers in the sport, Virgil van Djik, will be there to great Senegal’s forwards. With Mane, Senegal had a shot. Without Mane, the Dutch win.
