FIFA World Cup Betting Prediction: Belgium Odds Analysis and What they Need to Move to the Next Round

In the past two World Cups, one team garnered more attention than almost any other, Belgium. The Belgians offered the lowest odds to win the 2018 World Cup. Not only did Belgium not win the WC, but they failed to make a serious dent. The Belgians remain one of the more talented squads in Europe, though. So in 2022, will Belgium make up for past failures at the world’s most important soccer tournament? Keep reading for a Belgium odds assessment to win the WC as well as a prediction on whether they will or won’t move on from their group so you can bet against their FIFA World Cup Odds

Belgium Odds to Win World Cup Will Move On to the Next Round

  • Belgium +1200

Although Belgium has failed to win the past two World Cups even though almost every soccer fan in the world believed they were the most talented squad, they remain one of the teams with a big shot of taking the title.

With that being written, only eight nations have won the World Cup and Belgium isn’t one of them. But, let’s be honest, Belgium has a better chance of joining the elite eight: Argentina, Uruguay, Brazil, England, France, Germany, Italy, and Spain, than any other nation at the WC.

So if you believe a country that’s not part of the elite eight will win the World Cup, back Belgium. The team remains one of the most talented, if not the most talented, national soccer squad in Europe.

Why Belgium will move to the next round

Kevin De Bruyne and Romelu Lukaku remain Belgium’s stars. But the team is much more than just De Bruyne and Lukaku.

Eden Hazard, Belgium’s captain, Thomas Meunier, Jan Vertonghen, and Dries Mertens are also great. Not only that, but even though Belgium has had two straight disappointing World Cups, they moved to the second round in both.

Why Belgium won’t move to the next round

De Bruyne and Lukaku are getting up their in age. Also, as great as Belgium is, they always flounder when the lights are the brightest.

No brighter lights flood the soccer landscape then those at the World Cup. So there’s a chance Belgium folds before they even step onto the pitch. That’s how mentally soft the Belgians are.

Final Analysis – Belgium will win Group F

Mentally soft or not, talent is talent and Belgium has loads of it. In addition, players like De Bruyne have spent the past four years throwing down for club teams with talented coaches and managers.

So even a guy like De Bruyne, who has a lot of international experience, will play better having stepped onto the grass for a coach like Pep Guardiola at Manchester City.

Almost as important? Group F is a dog. Croatia will be good, but their best player, Luka Modric, is on the north side of 35. Canada and Morocco won’t challenge the Belgians. So, yes, Belgium will win their group.
