The Orlando Magic will pay a visit to the Los Angeles Clippers at the Staples Center on Tuesday night. Orlando is sitting in 14th place in the 15-team Eastern Conference standings and comes into this matchup looking to snap a two-game skid. The Clippers are in third place in the loaded Western Conference, a half-game behind Phoenix and four games behind league-leading Utah. LA enters this matchup as the hottest team in the league as they look to extend a six-game winning streak.
With Orlando looking for the huge upset and LA looking to take hold down the fort, let’s find out where the best NBA betting value lies in this Magic Vs Clippers affair so you can bet against their NBA odds.

Orlando Looking Toward the Future
Following a series of roster-altering trades last week, Orlando is clearly looking toward the future. The Magic have lost two straight, four of five and eight of its last 10 games overall. Orlando comes into this affair fresh off a narrow 96-93 road loss against the Lakers on Sunday night. Dwayne Bacon led the Magic with 26 points and Chuma Okeke added 14 points in the loss. Orlando’s Otto Porter Jr. had a clean look at a 3-pointer to send it to overtime, but the shot hit the rim.
The Magic have five new players on their roster after last week’s trade deadline flurry that saw the Magic part ways with their top three scorers including all-star center Nikola Vucevic. Wendell Carter Jr., R.J. Hampton, and Porter all played their first games for Orlando after being acquired in three separate deals. Still, Orlando coach Steve Clifford was frustrated with his team’s failures to execute down the stretch.
“We fouled unnecessarily, played undisciplined defense and missed blockouts,” he said. “We played hard and didn’t play smart. The game was there to be won. Nobody knocked it out of the park.”
Orlando averages 104.3 points per game (29th) on 43.1% shooting from the field (30th) and 35.7% from beyond the arc (21st). The Magic allow 111.0 points per game defensively (13th) on 46.7 percent shooting from the field (16th) and 36.5% from beyond the arc (14th). Terrance Ross averages a team-high 16.0 points per game while rookie Cole Anthony averages 11.0 points per game. The newly acquired Wendell Carter Jr. averages 10.8 points and 7.8 rebounds per game.
Clippers Looking To Topple Western Conference Rivals
The Clippers gave up sweet-shooting veteran Lou Williams in exchange for veteran point guard Rajon Rondo just prior to last week’s trade deadline. Now, LA is looking to take down their Western Conference counterparts to represent the conference in this season’s NBA Finals.
LA has won six straight games including a 129-105 smackdown of Milwaukee on Monday night. Marcus Morris scored a team-high 25 points and Kawhi Leonard added 23 points. Luke Kennard had a season-high 21 points and Reggie Jackson added 20 points.
“We held them to 105, that’s just a great defensive effort right there,” Leonard said. “We’re just paying more attention to detail. We’re just playing hard from the first quarter to the fourth quarter.”
The Clippers made 19 3-pointers, one off their season high.
“Everything we’ve been working on and frustrated by earlier in the season, you can see it coming together,” Clippers coach Tyronn Lue said. “We have a defensive mindset every single night.”
LA averages 115.3 points per game (6th) on 48.4% shooting from the field (7th) and 41.9% from beyond the arc (1st). The Clippers allow 108.6 points per game defensively (6th) on 46.9 percent shooting from the field (19th) and 36.3% from beyond the arc (10th). Kawhi Leonard averages a team-high 25.9 points and 6.3 rebounds per game while Paul George is averaging 22.5 points and an identical 6.3 rebounds per contest.
Expert Analysis and Prediction
I wouldn’t put a ton of thought into making this pick seeing as how Orlando has almost no chance of pulling off the upset in this matchup. I know the Magic are 7-1 ATS in their last 8 games vs. a team with a winning straight up record and 6-2 ATS in their last 8 games overall, but LA has gone a perfect 6-0 ATS in their last 6 games overall.
The Clippers are 5-0 ATS in their last 5 home games vs. a team with a losing road record and 6-0 ATS in their last six home games. Los Angeles is also 11-5 ATS in their last 16 games vs. a team with a losing straight up record and 5-0 ATS in the last five meetings against Orlando. This one could be over by halftime. LA wins and covers.
Pick: Clippers 118 Magic 105
