Expert NBA Pick on Dallas at Golden State

Posted by Ryan Knuppel on March 24, 2016 in

Will they or won’t they? There are a lot of questions still to be answered as we head into the final couple of weeks of the NBA season, but the one that is on the lips of most basketball fans is whether or not the Golden State Warriors can set the single season record for most wins. The team has done a pretty good job of deflecting that talk all season long, but with just 11 games to play, it’s a question that can no longer be avoided. The Warriors can only afford to take 2 more losses in those 11 games, and with a pair of match-ups against the San Antonio Spurs still to come, you feel that they just cannot afford to lose any games against lesser opponents. The Dallas Mavericks would certainly fall into that group, but they are still a dangerous bunch when you consider that they are fighting for their playoff lives. Why Bet on the Dallas Mavericks

It has to be said that it’s quite a surprise to see the Dallas Mavericks (35-36) still in the thick of the playoff race at this stage of the season. This was not a team that was expected to do very much this year, but they have somehow managed to win enough games to be in the #7 seed in the West. Of the 35 wins that Dallas has put together this year, none was more impressive than their 114-91 victory over the Warriors in the early part of the season. That win put the Mavericks in pretty elite company, but you also have to remember that they have lost the games they have played against Golden State since that one. Dallas are struggling badly right now, and are just 2-8 in their last 10 games. The Mavericks are averaging 102.9 PPG, and are giving up 103.4 PPG.

Why Bet on the Golden State Warriors

It would appear that the Golden State Warriors (74-7) have a date with history in their near future, but the big question now is whether or not they will show up for it. The next two games against Dallas and Philadelphia look straightforward enough, but things get a little trickier for them after that. This group has to avoid looking ahead, and have to try and focus on each game individually. They have to be a confident bunch heading into this one, as the Mavericks are a team that they have beaten 9 out of the last 10 times they played them in the regular season. There is also the matter of Golden State still being unbeaten at home this season. The Warriors are averaging 115.3 PPG, and are giving up 104.1 PPG.

Expert Betting Pick and Final Score Prediction

You have to look at the Mavericks win over Golden State earlier this season as something of an aberration. There is a he gulf between these two teams, and the class will win out on Friday night.
