2022 Tuesday’s Best Bets in College Basketball

Previous Betting News

With schools taking finals and getting out for Christmas break, the college hoops schedule hits a little bit of a break over the next few days. Conferences that have already started conference play are also taking a bit of a hiatus from their conference slate.

In looking at the college basketball schedule for December 13th, we’ve found a couple of games that have caught our attention. We’ll give you a brief analysis of each game, and then we’ll give you our advice on how to bet on the game.

Memphis Tigers @ Alabama Crimson Tide

The Crimson Tide are coming off of a huge weekend. They went to Houston and beat the #1 ranked team in the country the Houston Cougars.

The Tide was ranked 8th last week, so we’re sure they’ll fly up the rankings this week and will be a top-five team. The Tide will have another tough matchup as they host the Memphis Tigers on Tuesday night.

Alabama has one of, if not the best, freshmen in the country in Brandon Miller. Miller currently leads all freshmen in scoring, averaging nearly 18 points per game. He is flanked by Jahvon Quinerly and Mark Sears.

Alabama is a very deep team and is long and athletic. The Tide leads the country in rebounding margin. Nate Oats has done a great job of rebuilding this program, and Alabama fears no one.

Anfernee “Penny” Hardaway came into the Memphis job without college coaching experience. The former All-NBA point guard had built a high school empire in Memphis and then was hired to do the same at the college level.

Hardaway has been able to entice some of the country’s top recruits to Memphis, but he hasn’t had much success in the postseason. He has had a lot of players leave after one year for the NBA, and his teams just haven’t meshed well.

At 8-2 and winners of their last six, the Tigers come into Tuscaloosa playing well. After beating Alabama’s in-state rival, the 11th-ranked Auburn Tigers, last weekend, the Tigers came into this one riding a wave of momentum. We’ll see if they can use that win to propel them to a victory over Alabama or if the Tide will continue to rise up the rankings.

Alabama will be a slight favorite at home. Two very athletic teams will be facing off in this one, but we give the advantage to Alabama, as they will be on their home floor. We see the Tide winning this one by three to five points, so take a look at the spread and see what you think.

North Carolina A&T Aggies @ Houston Cougars

We feel bad for North Carolina A&T. They get to travel to Houston to take on one of the top teams in the country after a loss. Kelvin Sampson’s intensity will drive the Cougars to rebound from their loss and be ready for this.

North Carolina A&T is 4-4 on the season. Even though they’ve won their last three, they are winless on the road this season. That doesn’t bode well for them for Tuesday night’s game.

Houston will be over a 20-point favorite for this one. Houston is one of the best defensive teams in the country, and we look for them to impose their will on the Aggies. Unless the spread is too large, we’d advise you to take the angry Cougars in this one.
