College Basketball Picks & Analysis: Best Games to Wager this Week

Louisville, Boise State, Seton Hall, and Davidson begin their quest for NCAA Tournament bids on Wednesday when those four teams throw down in their season opening games. The Cardinals take on Bellarmine, Boise throws down against South Dakota State, the Hall faces Monmouth-NJ and Davidson goes against tough Wright State. See below for College Basketball Betting analysis and free picks for six of Wednesday’s best NCAAM matchups.

NCAA Basketball Top Betting Predictions for the Best Nov. 9th Games

Davidson Wildcats at Wright State Raiders | Wednesday, Nov. 9

On Nov. 7, Davidson beat Guilford 87-64. Wright State is a huge step up from Guilford. So we shouldn’t expect Davidson to repeat the effort.

Wright State must play without Tanner Holden, who led the team in scoring last season. However, the Raiders are a solid program and they’ve got home court advantage. Wright State wins and covers.

NCAA Basketball Pick: Wright State

Monmouth-NJ Hawks at Seton Hall Pirates | Wednesday, Nov. 9

New Seton Hall head coach Shaheen Holloway led the St. Peter’s Peacocks to the Elite Eight last season. Once Holloway took the job, he convinced KC Ndefo to go with him to the Hall.

Monmouth-NJ is in for a spanking on Wednesday night. So the question is will the Pirates cover? The answer is yes. Holloway is an excellent coach and he’s got some talent to work with.

NCAA Basketball Pick: Seton Hall

Lipscomb Bisons at South Dakota Coyotes | Wednesday, Nov. 9

Last season Lipscomb finished 13-18 while playing in the Atlanta Sun Conference. This season, Lipscomb should finish with a better record because 6’ 10” center Asahn Asadullah returns.

Asadullah led the Bison in points, rebounds, and assists each game. South Dakota is 0-1 after falling to Wisconsin 85-59 on Nov. 7.

The Coyotes are a better team than what they showed. Also, the loss happened versus a Big Ten squad. Once oddsmakers set a line, consider backing the home team to win and cover.

NCAA Basketball Pick: South Dakota Coyotes

Bellarmine Knights at Louisville Cardinals | Wednesday, Nov. 9

Louisville new head coach Kenny Payne is up against it this season. The ACC boasts enough talent to send eight teams to the Sweet 16.

North Carolina, Duke, Miami, and Virginia are good enough to cut down the nets on April 3. Payne’s best player, Eli Ellis, will be on an island in games versus Louisville’s ACC rivals. But against Bellarmine, Ellis should excel, setting up his teammates, including top recruit DJ Wagner, for easy scores.

Cardinals win and cover and smile for a while before having to battle their much more talented conference opponents.

NCAA Basketball Pick: Louisville

South Dakota State Jackrabbits at Boise State Broncos | Wednesday, Nov. 9

Boise State must go through a rebuild this season. The Broncos lost senior Marcus Shaver from last season’s NCAA Tournament squad. Not only that, but the Mountain West Conference is deep.

When it comes to this game, Boise State figures to roll. South Dakota State is a good program, but this happens on the Broncos’ court. Also, Boise head coach Leon Rice is as underrated as it gets.

NCAA Basketball Pick: Boise State

Florida Gulf Coast Eagles at San Diego Toreros | Wednesday, Nov. 9

Florida Gulf Coast heads to San Diego riding with a 1-0 record. The Eagles dominated a USC Trojans squad in their first game of the season, blasting USC 74-61 as a +18.5 road underdog.

USC might be bad. More than likely, FGCU is underrated. The Toreros should fall by close to 20 if not more than 20. Florida Gulf Coast, who has been a good program for close to a decade, wins and covers.

NCAA Basketball Pick: Florida Gulf Coast
