Week 6 of the National Football League will kick off on Thursday Night Football. A pair of AFC West teams will mix it up as the Denver Broncos take on the Kansas City Chiefs.
The Broncos come into this game fresh off a loss to the New York Jets. The loss dropped them to 1-4 on the season, and that’s last place in the division.
Kansas City won four straight games after losing their season opener to the Detroit Lions. The Chiefs are 4-1 and lead the division.
The Kansas City Chiefs are favorites in this game. Kansas City is at -10.5, and the total is listed at 50 points.

Chiefs Seeking Fifth Straight Win
The Kansas City Chiefs come into Week 6 as the 9th highest-scoring team in the National Football League. They are throwing for 258 yards a game and rushing for an additional 123 per game.
The Chiefs’ most significant success has come on third down, where they rank the best in all of the league, at converting 51.5% of their chances.
Patrick Mahomes is again coming through with a solid start to the season. Mahomes has over 1,000 passing yards thrown and eight touchdowns on the season, with four interceptions.
His top target, of course, has been Travis Kelce, with 17 receptions, 155 yards, and two touchdowns. The run game for the Chiefs has been up and down through five games, but Isiah Pacheco leads the charge with 55 carries, 270 yards, and two touchdowns.
The Chiefs have wins over the Jaguars, Bears, Jets, and Vikings and will take on the Chargers and Broncos again to end October.
Slow Start in Denver
For the Denver Broncos, the Sean Payton experience is not off to a great start. The Broncos have dropped four of their first five games. The lone win was a come-from-behind win at the Bears. This Broncos team gave up 70 points earlier in a loss to the Dolphins. That explains their 36.2 points per game allowed, which is the worst in all of the National Football League.
On the offensive side, Russell Wilson has completed 89 of 132 passes for 1,014 yards, nine touchdowns, and just two interceptions. Those numbers certainly cannot be the reason for the early season struggles.
Courtland Sutton and Brandon Johnson both lead the team with three touchdown receptions in the early going. Denver’s run game has been one of the worst in the league. Last week, Javonte Williams did not play, and he is questionable for this affair. Denver has just one rushing touchdown all season.
The Broncos will go home and host the Packers in Week 7 and then the Chiefs in Week 8 before their Week 9 bye. After the bye, Denver sees the Bills, Vikings, and Browns in November.
Broncos vs Chiefs Betting Prediction | Chiefs Win; Broncos Cover on Thursday Night Football
This should be an exciting game. These two teams know each other pretty well, as they are, of course, divisional rivals. They will play twice this month, and it will be interesting to see how the Broncos adjust to them. Both teams have a short week to prepare.
Look for Kansas City to start a little sluggish, as they still struggle to keep the offense going like they used to effectively.
For Denver, they are not doing many things well. But, in this one, they keep it close and cover the spread. While the Kansas City Chiefs win this game, the Denver Broncos cover the spread.
We will take the Denver Broncos +10.5, and the Chiefs win 31-24 on Thursday Night Football.
