Buccaneers vs Panthers Odds & Prediction – NFL Week 7 Lines

This season can’t get over soon enough for the Carolina Panthers. They fired their head coach, Matt Rhule, a few days ago. They brought in Baker Mayfield to solve their quarterback issues. Mayfield was awful prior to getting hurt. Interim head coach Steve Wilks sent wide receiver Robby Anderson back to the locker room last week after a disagreement with an assistant coach. Anderson was promptly traded to the Arizona Cardinals. The season has been a disaster for the Panthers, and we’re not sure that it’s going to get any better.

Things haven’t been the greatest for Tampa Bay, either. Even though Tom Brady has put up some good numbers, the offense still hasn’t been able to get things going this season. The defense has also had its fair share of struggles. Even with all of their struggles, the Bucs are still sitting atop the NFC South with a 3-3 record.

On Sunday, these two divisional rivals will meet in Charlotte, as the Panthers will host the Buccaneers. Let’s see how both team stack against each other so you place your bets on their NFL Betting Lines.

NFL Betting Preview for Tampa Bay Buccaneers at Carolina – A Tale of Two Struggling Teams

Tampa Bay Buccaneers

As we stated earlier, even though they’re not playing great football, the Bucs are still in first place in the NFC South. Over their last four games, the Buccaneers have not looked good, and have shown their fans that there should be some concern. They lost a sloppy game to Green Bay, were decimated by the Kansas City Chiefs, narrowly snuck by the Atlanta Falcons, and then were upset by the Pittsburgh Steelers, who were 10-point underdogs.

Father Time is starting to catch up with Tom Brady, and with his personal problems weighing on him, he just hasn’t played as he has in the past. Combine that with a lack of a running game, and injuries to his receivers and tight ends, and things just haven’t gone well for the Tampa Bay offense.

Carolina Panthers

Well, where do we start with the Panthers? Other than Christian McCaffrey, the offense is abysmal. McCaffrey has played well, but he hasn’t had any help. We don’t know who’ll be under center this week for the Panthers. Last week PJ Walker got the nod, and he couldn’t get anything done. We’re not sure if Wilks will give him another shot, or if they’ll go back to last year’s starter, Sam Darnold. Wide receiver DJ Moore has been non-existent. All-in-all, this team just can’t seem to score points.

NFL Week 7 Betting Prediction

Even with a struggling offense, the oddsmakers have still made the Tampa Bay Buccaneers a 10.5-point favorite. The Panthers defense isn’t bad, and they’ve kept the Panthers close in some of their games. They’re going to have to keep the Panthers in this one, as we just can’t see the offense getting much done against a good Tampa Bay defense.

We don’t have a real good feeling either way, as 10.5 points is a lot. Last week, McCaffrey accounted for nearly 75% of the Panthers offense. We know that Tampa will be keying on stopping him, as there hasn’t been much of a threat anywhere else on that side of the ball.

We’re going to take Tampa in this one. We think they’ll do just enough to win by two touchdowns.
