The Denver Broncos were a team that many predicted could cause some issues in the AFC, while the Dallas Cowboys are playing like Super Bowl contenders. Unfortunately for the Broncos, things haven’t gone their way this season, they’ve just traded Von Miller away, and they are now in last place in the AFC West.
The Dallas Cowboys are sitting atop the NFC East with one loss and look like they may run away with the division.
These two teams will collide at AT&T Stadium on Sunday as the Cowboys will host the Broncos. Let’s take a look at each team, and then we’ll make a prediction on the game so you can bet against the NFL odds.
NFL Betting Preview for Denver Broncos vs Dallas Cowboys
Dallas Cowboys Betting Preview
The Cowboys have won six straight after losing the season opener to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Dallas has one of the top offenses in the league, led by Dak Prescott. Although Prescott didn’t play last week, all signs point to him playing in this one.
Prescott has one of the top receiving groups in the league, as Amari Cooper, Michael Gallup, CeeDee Lamb, and Dalton Schultz make up this outstanding group. Although Zeke Elliott has yet to get going, he is still a large contributor to the offense.
Many felt that the Cowboys would have trouble stopping their opponents from scoring, but that hasn’t been the case this season. The Dallas defense has turned itself around under the leadership of defensive coordinator Dan Quinn.
They have gone from one of the worst defenses in the league to one of the best. Trevon Diggs has been great in the secondary, and the Dallas pass rush has made leaps and bounds in Quinn’s scheme. If this group can continue to play well, Dallas can make a long run in the playoffs.
Denver Broncos Betting Preview
The Broncos‘ offense hasn’t been much to write home about. Teddy Bridgewater is more of a “game manager.” He’s not a big downfield threat.
Not having Jerry Jeudy has also hindered Denver’s offense this season, as he is their big downfield threat. Noah Fant hasn’t lived up to expectations, and the running game has been suspect.
As for the defense, they have played well at times, but they aren’t getting to the quarterback, and they aren’t getting the turnovers that Vic Fangio’s defenses are known for.
With the trade of Von Miller, many felt that this was the Broncos waving the white flag on the season. We’ll see if the rest of the defense can pick up the slack of not having Miller.
Final Betting Prediction For Broncos vs Cowboys
The oddsmakers have set the line at -7.5 in favor of the Dallas Cowboys. They are playing at home, where the Cowboys are undefeated this season. Dallas is 10-1 against the spread in their last 11 games, so that bodes well for them. They are also 5-0 against the spread in their last five games at “Jerry World.”
We already liked the Cowboys a lot in this one, but with the numbers to back up our prediction, we like the Cowboys even more. Dallas wins this one 31-20 and continues on their path to the playoffs.
