Why Bet on Carolina versus Seattle

Carolina is 0-2 but the Panthers showed mass improvement from the first game to the second. Atlanta beat the Panthers 24-10 in NFL Week 1. This past Monday night, Carolina lost by just 3 points to the rival New Orleans Saints.

Bryce Young struggled versus the Saints’ excellent defense. However, Bryce didn’t throw a pick and he had every right to do so after suffering 4 sacks. The fact Young didn’t throw an interception means Bryce’s decision-making in the face of pressure is already at an NFL quarterback’s level.

Seattle’s defense isn’t nearly as fearsome as the Saints’. So Young should have more success moving the ball against the Seahawks than he did versus New Orleans.

In NFL Week 1, Seattle struggled against the Los Angeles Rams. The Rams, though, are a much better team than many give them credit for being. LAR hung with the San Francisco 49ers in their NFL Week 2 game.

The Seahawks bounced back from losing to the Rams with a nice overtime victory over the Lions in Detroit. The game showed that Seattle’s defense could contain one of the best offenses in the league. It also showed that Geno Smith’s fantastic 2022 season wasn’t an anomaly.

Smith threw for 328 yards and 2 touchdowns. On Sunday, Geno faces a Carolina D without their top defender in Shaq Thompson. Smith should have massive success.

Carolina Panthers at Seattle Seahawks Final Betting Prediction

Young plays behind a bad offensive line, which is why the Saints scored 4 sacks. Although Seattle doesn’t have the pass rushers that New Orleans possesses, Young should end up on his back at least twice in this.
More importantly, Smith doesn’t have to worry about Shaq Thompson either rushing him or floating back into coverage. Without Thompson roaming the middle of the field, Carolina is also going to struggle to keep Kenneth Walker III from having long gains.

Carolina will play okay for a while. But in the end, Seattle gets the cover victory.
