Fortunes can change for every team over the course of an NFL season, with injuries and slumps in form taking teams in the wrong direction. On the flipside, teams can get healthy and hit a rich vein of form that takes them from the middle of the pack to a Super Bowl favorite in a matter of a few short weeks. The LA Rams are an example of a team heading in the wrong direction this season, while the New England Patriots are on the opposite side of the scale. What all of that means is that we are going to have a playoff race in both conferences that goes all the way down to the wire. That’s great news for football fans who want excitement all the way to the end, as well as for bettors, who love the action. Let’s now take a look at our ATS picks for Week 13 of the season so you can keep your betting against the NFL odds.
Week 13 ATS Picks for the 2021 Season | NFL Betting
Dallas Cowboys (-4 ½) at New Orleans Saints
After a blistering start to the season, the Dallas Cowboys have cooled off a little and come into the Thursday night game on the heels of a 2-game losing skid. They still have the lead in the NFC East, but with Washington winning on Monday night, things are beginning to tighten up a little bit. For the Saints, moving on to life without Drew Brees has proven to be an issue, as they come into Week 13 sitting a game below .500. In fairness to the Saints, they have lost some of their best players to injury and are now looking at starting Taysom Hill at QB this week to see if he can provide a spark.
The Cowboys have been great against the spread going 11-4 ATS in their last 15 and 4-1 in their last 5 road games. The Saints are 2-4 ATS in their last 6 at home.
Arizona Cardinals (-7 ½) at Chicago Bears
If we were forced to make a Super Bowl pick right now, it would be hard to leave the Arizona Cardinals out of the conversation. At 9-2, they have the best record in the league, although they are playing .500 ball over the last 4 games. Is that a minor blip on their season, or is it a sign that the second half might be a little more challenging for the Cardinals? Everything has been a challenge for the Bears this season, but they did get a happy moment last weekend with a 16-14 win over Detroit, snapping a 5-game losing skid in the process. Still, a win over the Lions is not cause for great celebration.
The Cardinals have covered in 7 of their last 9 and are 6-0 ATS in their last 6 road games.
New York Giants at Miami Dolphins (-3)
When a team is struggling and tagged as one of the worst teams in the league, it can be tough to snap out of it and go on a run. While they are still just 4-7, you do have to give some credit to the New York Giants, who have picked up 3 wins in their last 5 games. They still have a long way to go to be competitive on a weekly basis, but this run is sure to have out a bit of a smile on the faces of their fans. More impressive, though, is what the Dolphins are doing right now, as they come into Week 13 on a 4-game winning streak, which has moved them to 5-7 on the season. Both teams have been good against the spread over the past 5 weeks, but what sways this for me is the Dolphins being 12-4 ATS in their last 16 at home.
