Top 2021 NHL Games to Watch From Feb. 8th to 13th

The defending champion Tampa Bay Lightning are on the ice on Monday night. A high-scoring shootout looks likely on Tuesday night when Washington hosts Philadelphia for the second consecutive games. The two highest scoring offenses will be going at it on Wednesday night when Montreal hosts Toronto and the rest of the week looks exciting as well. With the 2020-21 NHL regular season rolling right along and heading into a brand new week of action, you’re about to find out which NHL matchups this coming week fit the bill of must-see TV. Top NHL Games to Watch this Week (February 8th – 13th)

Tampa Bay at Nashville

  • When: Monday, February 8 at 8:00 PM ET
  • TV: ESPN+

Tampa Bay (7-1-1) took out Detroit 3-1 on Friday night to improve to 4-0 over its last five games. Nashville (5-6-0) split games with Florida, losing 2-1 on Friday night after beating the Panthers 6-5 in overtime om Thursday. The Lightning have won three straight in this series including a 5-2 home win on Tuesday. Nashville has gone 7-2 in its last nine home games in this rivalry, but the favorite in 4-1 in the last five meetings.

Philadelphia at Washington

  • When: Tuesday, February 9 at 6:00 PM ET
  • TV: ESPN+

This Tuesday night affair should be another thriller after Philly got past Washington 7-4 in a high-scoring showdown on Sunday night. The Flyers (8-3-2) snapped a two-game skid after suffering consecutive losses against Boston in its previous two games. The Caps (6-3-3) have alternated wins and losses over their last five games. The favorites in this long rivalry is 19-7 in the last 26 meetings, but Philly has won five straight.

Toronto at Montreal

  • When: Wednesday, February 10 at 7:30 PM ET

Toronto (9-2-1) spanked Vancouver 7-3 on Thursday and backed that win up by dominating the Canucks 5-1 on Saturday. The Leafs are a red-hot 6-1 over their last seven games. Montreal (8-2-2) ranks first in scoring (4.0 gpg) and 14th in goals allowed (2.8 gpg). Montreal got past Ottawa 2-1 on Saturday to improve to 3-1 over its last four games and 7-3 over its last 10 games overall. The Maple Leafs rank second in scoring (3.8 gpg) and sixth in goals allowed (2.5 gpg). Toronto snapped a four-game losing streak against Montreal by beating the Canadiens 5-4 in overtime on Jan. 13.

St. Louis at Minnesota

  • When: Thursday, February 11 at 8:00 PM ET

St. Louis (7-4-1) suffered consecutive losses against Arizona by losing 4-3 on Thursday night and 3-1 on Saturday. Minnesota (6-5-0) has lost two of its last three and four of six including a 2-1 loss against Colorado the last time they played on Tuesday. The Blues have won three straight against the Wild including a 4-1 road win on Feb. 23.

Boston at NY Rangers

  • When: Friday, February 12 at 7:00 PM ET

Boston (8-1-2) has won three straight including a 2-1 win over Philadelphia on Friday night. The Bruins have gone a blistering 6-1 over their last seven games. The Rangers (4-4-2) have won two straight and three of four while recording a pair of impressive wins over Pittsburgh and Washington in their last two games. Boston has won four straight in this series.

Carolina at Dallas

  • When: Saturday, February 13 at 8:00 PM ET
  • TV: ESPN+

Carolina (7-2-0) got past Columbus 6-5 on Sunday to improve to 6-1 over its last seven games. Dallas (5-2-2) comes into the new week off of consecutive losses including a 2-1 overtime loss against Chicago on Sunday. The Hurricanes recorded consecutive wins against the Stars to close out January. Carolina on 4-1 at home on Jan. 30 and 4-3 in a shootout the following night.
