Which team among Bayern, Man City, and Liverpool offers the fairest odds?

It’s not Manchester City. Unless the Sky Blues are playing possum in their EPL games, how can they possibly offer lower odds than Liverpool? Man City is 8 points behind Liverpool on the Premier League Standings. They’ve drawn in their last couple of matches versus Man United and against one of the worst teams in the English Premier, West Bromwich Albion.

It’s hard to say any odds on Bayern over even money are underlaid, but in this case, +270 are. Bayern hasn’t been as sharp as they were during the Champions League restart this past summer and at the beginning of this UCL season.

They’d be a lock if not for Liverpool. The Reds won the 2019 Champions League. They’ve overtaken Tottenham on the English Premier League Standings and offer the best odds among the three chalks.

The lone possible issue backing Pool to win it all? They’ve got a tough draw versus hot RB Leipzig in the quarterfinals. But if the Reds can best Leipzig, they’ll have a chance to win it all.

What team among Juventus, Real Madrid, Chelsea, Paris St-Germain, Barca, and Atletico is the best play based on odds?

The draw sets it up for Juventus. Before getting into that, let’s discuss the other mid-level choices.

Paris St-Germain and Barcelona battle in the Round of 16. Barcelona hasn’t played that great overall this season. PSG turned it on in the final couple of group play matches. PSG should win, but nobody knows for sure who takes that match.

Real Madrid and Atalanta battle each other. Atletico takes on Chelsea. Atalanta is one of the best underdog plays left in the Champions League. Real is no lock to get past Atalanta.

Now that we understand why Juventus is the best choice, let’s dig deeper. Juvy drew Porto in the Round of 16. They should beat Porto. Ronaldo is back and playing lights out, which means Juventus has a huge shot to make it to the quarters.

Name an underdog with +2000 or higher odds who can win the Champions League?

The two best underdogs are Atalanta and Sevilla. Serie A squad Atalanta beat Liverpool 2-0 in a Champions League match during the group stage.

That alone should give their backers confidence. Since upsetting Pool, Atalanta has drawn with Midtjylland, beaten Ajax 1-0, dominated Fiorentina 3-0 and drawn with Juventus. If they can get past Real Madrid, who knows?

Sevilla rates a puncher’s chance. The La Liga Primera Division squad is on a 3-match winning streak. They dominated Stade Rennes in their final Champions League match before besting Getafe and destroying overmatched Lucena CF.

Atalanta has a better shot of winning the Champions League than Sevilla. But if you want to back one of the longest shots on the board, Sevilla is that team.

Their Round of 16 opponent is Dortmund. The Bundesliga squad isn’t unbeatable, which means Sevilla has a shot to make it to the quarterfinals. Another German League squad, RB Leipzig, can get it done as well.

The problem for RBL? Their Round of 16 opponent is Liverpool. If Leipzig can beat Pool, though, they’d become the top underdog play to win it all.
