Betting CONCACAF Champions Cup Odds & MyBookie's Expert Prediction for Quarterfinals Leg 2

Betting CONCACAF Champions Cup Odds & MyBookie’s Expert Prediction for Quarterfinals Leg 2

While we all love a good soccer tournament, we always think it’s better when you get teams from different countries going head-to-head. There is just something a little special about seeing matchups that rarely occur and which feel new. We get a little taste of that in the betting CONCACAF Champions Cup, which is now in the quarter final stage of proceedings. If you are just playing catchup with this tournament, we have you covered.

We are going to look at the format of the Tournament, the matchups that are coming our way, as well as some predictions on individual games, as well as the tournament as a whole, so let’s get to it.

The CONCACAF Champions Cup Format

Betting CONCACAF Champions Cup Quarterfinal Matchups

I think it’s fair to say that there have been no major shocks to this point in the tournament. This week will see the second leg of each game played, with each of the 4 matchups still very much hanging in the balance.

We will have 2 games on Tuesday night and 2 more on Wednesday, so let’s take a closer look at all 4, making predictions for each as we go:

^

Tigres -230 vs LA Galaxy +650 (Draw +330)

Champions Cup Prediction: Tigres 1-0 LA Galaxy
When: Tuesday, April 8, 2025, 9:00 PM

The Galaxy are going to be hitting the road feeling a little aggrieved that they got nothing out of the home leg, with that one ending 0-0.

It has been a rough start to the season overall for the defending MLS Cup champions, as they are now winless in their last 5 games.

They have had some problems with injuries this season, but the struggle is very real at this point.

The Galaxy cruised past Herediano to get here, but this is a much tougher ask. Tigres are winless in their last 2 games, tying both 0-0, so while they have had issues on offense, they are certainly defensively sound.

They beat Real Esteli in Round 1 before easily handling Cincinnati in the last round. You have to like their chances of closing things out in their own building on Tuesday night, although I think it might be one goal that makes all the difference.

^

Cruz Azul +160 vs America +175 (Draw +220)

Champions Cup Prediction: Cruz Azul 1-2 America
When: Tuesday, April 8, 2025, 11:30 PM

In terms of handicapping games, it helps when you have teams playing who have a history, which is certainly the case with this one.

Both teams play in Liga MX, but it is America that has been the team to beat in recent seasons, winning each of the last 3 championships.

America holds a slight advantage over Cruz Azul in their matchups, although games are often close, as seen in the recent 0-0 draw.

After advancing past Guadalajara 4-1, America faces a motivated Cruz Azul, seeking revenge after playoff elimination last season.

Cruz Azul is currently in strong form, remaining unbeaten in their last 5 matches. Cruz Azul hammered Real Hope in Round 1 and easily handles Seattle in the last round.

Inter Miami -181 vs LAFC +440 (Draw +330)

Champions Cup Prediction: Inter Miami 3-1 LAFC
When: Wednesday, April 9, 2025, 8:00 PM

When you have 2 leg games in a tournament, you tend to have a bit of a chess match going on.

The teams that begin the matchup on the road try to keep things tight as opposed to going out for the win.

In that regard, Inter Miami might not be too unhappy with a 1-0 loss to LAFC in Leg 1. Sure, they would rather be tied or in front but pulling back a 1-goal deficit at home is certainly not out of the question.

Miami beat Sporting KC 4-1 over 2 games in the opening round before registering a 4-0 win over Cavalier in the last round.

Their only loss in their last 5 games came in Leg 1. LAFC is not on a great run of form at the moment, winning twice and losing 3 in their last 5 games.

3 of those 3 losses came on the road, so there has to be some concern about making this trip to face Messi and company in Miami.

^

Pumas -104 vs Vancouver +275 (Draw +255)

Champions Cup Prediction: Pumas 1-0 Vancouver
When: Wednesday, April 9, 2025, 10:30 PM

The final game of this round features another matchup that is hanging in the balance after Pumas went to Vancouver and secured a 1-1 draw in Leg 1.

In fairness, though, wins have been tough to come by for Pumas, who has won just once in their last 5 games.

They had to come from behind to overcome a very plucky Calvary side in Round 1 before looking a whole lot more comfortable against Alajuelense in the second round.

Vancouver got the best possible send off this past weekend, winning 2-0 at home to Colorado, but that was just their 2nd win in their last 5, which is not that surprising considering the players they have out through injury.

The Whitecaps got past Saprissa 3-2 in Round 1 before going through on the away goals rule in Round 2 against Monterrey.

They has battled hard in this tournament, but I think they come up short here.

Betting CONCACAF Champions Cup

We are getting into the late stages of the CONCACAF Champions Cup, but there are still plenty of betting opportunities open to you.

Besides the individual games, you might also be able to get in on some props and futures bets, so let’s quickly get into it to see how you can make some money on this tournament.

^

Playing the Individual Games in the CONCACAF Champions Cup

One of the most important things to know about the upcoming games in that how things went in Leg 1 might not be indicative of how things will eventually play out.

The opening legs always tend to be tight, cagey affairs, with neither team wanting to essentially lose the matchup ahead of Leg 2.

In the second game, both teams know exactly what they need to do, so while goals were at a premium in Leg 1 of all 4 games, be aware that things might be a good deal more open and offensive minded in Leg 2.

^

Props and Futures Bets in the CONCACAF Champions Cup

The most obvious bet here is to wager on the eventual champions, but there are some other things you might be able to make money, including individual player wagers, so let’s start out with those:

Tournament Top Scorer

Angel Sepulveda of Cruz Azul is the man leading the way right now with 4 goals.

You also have to consider that his team are the top scorers in this tournament, so there may be more to come, assuming Cruz Azul does not crash out to America.

That is something to consider before you make the leap with this particular wager.

Tournament Assist Leader

This one is still wide open, as there are a number of players sitting on 2 assists. Many of the players are already out of the tournament, so you can narrow things down dramatically when making that pick.

^

Who Will End the Tournament as the Champions?

If you asked fans of this tournament who they want to see in the Final, you can bet that there would be a lot of people hoping for an Inter Miami/America matchup.

That is indeed a distinct possibility, although both teams have some work to do to move on. One thing to consider is that this tournament has been dominated by teams from Mexico, with a Liga MX team winning 17 of the last 18.

America is the top team, winning it 7 times, so they definitely have to be considered a threat.

2025 Quarterfinals Leg 1

No matter when you check in on the current soccer schedule, you are almost certainly going to se at least one tournament on the go. Even when we see breaks between rounds of a major tournament, another one is on the go. Right now, it is the CONCACAF Champions Cup betting, making its return this week.

If you haven’t been following along with this one, you are coming in at the perfect time, as we are at the quarterfinals of this tournament.

CONCACAF Champions Cup betting Quarterfinal Matchups Leg 1

The good news for this stage of the proceedings is that we are seeing matchups between teams that have some head-to-head history, which can help with making predictions.

We are going to use that, as well as some other information, to try and make some picks for the CONCACAF Champions Cup quarterfinal matchups, so let’s get to it.

Before we get into breaking down all 4 matchups, keep in mind that these matchups are played over 2 legs, home and away, with the 2nd leg of these games set to go next week.

What often happens in this situation is that the road team in Leg 1 often goes in looking to do little more than to keep things close so that they can have an easier time at home in Leg 2.

Here are the games for your CONCACAF Champions Cup betting:

Cruz Azul +280 vs America +104 (Draw +226)

Champions Cup Prediction: Cruz Azul 1-1 America
When: Tuesday, April 1, 2025, 9:15 PM

Since both teams currently play in Liga MX, they do have recent history to take into account, so we will certainly be doing that.

They last met in the Apertura playoffs, with America winning that one 4-3 over the 2 games.

Cruz Azul finished top of the league last season before that playoff loss and are in very good form coming into this one.

America has won 3 straight titles in Liga MX and are sitting at the top of the table as we head into the final weeks of the regular season.

Games between these two tend to be tight, so I think we can expect more of the same here, although I think America will be happy with a draw in the road leg.

LA Galaxy +157 vs Tigres +162 (Draw +246)

Champions Cup Prediction: LA Galaxy 1-2 Tigres
When: Tuesday, April 1, 2025, 11:15 PM

The Galaxy were one of the teams who received an opening round bye, which was no real surprise given that they ended last season as the MLC Champions.

They made short work of Herediano in the last round, but outside of that, the Galaxy have not looked very good in the opening weeks of the new MLS season.

Tigres started their run in this competition with a win over Estreli, which they followed up with a 2-leg win over another MLS side in Cincinnati.

They are, though, coming off a 3-0 loss to America in their most recent game in Liga MX, so they need to erase that from their memory and get back to good form.

Vancouver +113 vs Pumas +230 (Draw +250)

Champions Cup Prediction: Vancouver 1-0 Pumas
When: Wednesday, April 2, 2025, 9:30 PM

This matchup may not have come at the best time for Vancouver, as they are going to be without Ryan Gauld, one of their most important playmakers.

To get to this stage of the proceedings, Vancouver has had to beat Saprissa and Monterrey, the latter of which was a tough, tough matchup.

Pumas has had a relatively easier journey to this stage, currently in strong form with only one loss in their last five games, that defeat being against Monterrey, Vancouver’s previous opponent.

I think Vancouver might get some joy at home, but I think they could be in trouble over the 2 legs.

LAFC +145 vs Inter Miami +178 (Draw +242)

Champions Cup Prediction: LAFC 1-2 Inter Miami
When: Wednesday, April 2, 2025, 11:30 PM

The final matchup of the quarterfinals in an all-MLS affair that should be a fun one to watch.

LAFC has faced MLS teams all through this tournament, taking out Colorado in Round 1 before beating Columbus in the last round.

Los Angeles has not been great in MLS play this season, losing 3 of their last 4 games to fall to 8th in the Western Conference.

Inter Miami has defeated Sporting KC and Cavalier to reach this stage, leading the Eastern Conference with an unbeaten streak of 5 matches, including 4 consecutive victories.

I think Miami is a team on fore right now, so I like them to get off to a positive start on the road.

CONCACAF Champions Cup betting: Who is Going to End Up as the Winner?

While our goal here is to make predictions for the quarterfinal’s matchups, you also cannot help but look ahead to try and figure out how things might play out the rest of the way.

The bracket is set, so we do know the path that each team is likely going to have to take to get to the final.

On one side of the bracket, I think we are looking at Inter Miami and Pumas meeting up in the semi-final.

I predict America and Tigres will reach the final four, leading to a final match between Leo Messi’s Inter Miami and dominant Club America from Mexico.

Of course, there is always the chance of an upset, but I think when you have games played over 2 legs, the cream tends to find a way to rise to the top.

With that in mind, I do think we will see that bracket play out the way I outlined it above, with Messi and company winning it all.

Columbus Crew vs Tigres UANL

Football Odds: Tigres UANL +500 / Columbus +1400

Tuesday, April 9 at 8:45 pm ET
Estadio Universitario, San Nicolas de los Garza, Mexico

Neither squad is in great form. Road team Columbus has drawn in 3 straight versus Nashville, Tigres in the first leg, and D.C. United. Before the draws, Columbus had lost to Charlotte FC.

Tigres UANL had won 3 straight before their last 2, the draw versus Columbus and a loss to Pachuca. The loss to Pachuca is worrisome if you’re a Tigres fan. Pachuca faced UANL on their grass and managed to blast Tigres back to the zoo in a 3-0 victory. Columbus may not win, but a draw is possible.

America vs New England Revolution – Leg 2

Football Odds:America +180 / NE Revolution +100000

Tuesday, April 9 at 10:30 pm ET
Azteca City, Mexico City, Mexico

America absolutely blasted New England 4-0 in the first leg. The 4-0 whipping is the reason the Revolution are the longest shot on the board to win the CONCACAF Champions Cup. It’s virtually impossible for New England to make up a 4-0 goal deficit versus the Champions Cup chalk to win the title.

As far as this game is concerned, America is likely to rest their starters. There’s no reason to go full force versus a Revolution team that may do more sightseeing than playing quality soccer while they’re in Mexico. Even if they rest half of their starters, America can beat New England. Back the home team once odds land.

Pachuca vs Herediano – Leg 2

Football Odds: Pachuca +325 / Herediano +80000

Wednesday, April 10 at 8:15 pm ET
Estadio Hidalgo, Pachuca, Mexico

Costa Rican squad Herediano is struggling in their league. CR teams are decent. But Herediano should be better then their recent form, losing 3 and drawing twice in their last 5. The worst loss, which makes sense, was to Pachuca in the first leg of this Champions Cup matchup.

Pachuca dominated Herediano 5-0. On Wednesday evening, Pachuca is likely to put another beating onto Herediano. Expect at least a 3 goals victory. Lay it if oddsmakers set a spread line.

Pachuca vs Herediano

Monterrey vs Inter Miami CF – Leg 2

Football Odds: Monterrey +350 / Inter Miami CF +475

Wednesday, April 10 at 10:30 pm ET
Estadio BBVA, Guadalupe, Mexico

Inter lost the first match 2-1. The score implies Inter has a real shot of upsetting Monterrey on their grass. Another reason to like Miami?

Messi returned to the pitch in the 2-2 draw versus Colorado. For sure, Inter M should beat a team like the Rapids, which are decent but don’t have a roster close to Miami’s. So the draw disappointed.

But it was Messi’s first game back after an injury. Lionel should be sharper on Wednesday night. Expect Miami to pick it up and force an aggregate draw with a at least a 1-goal victory.

Columbus Crew vs Tigres UANL

Football Odds: NA

Tuesday, April 2nd at 7:00 pm ET
Lower.com Field, Columbus, Ohio

The crew has a big edge because this happens on their pitch. But Columbus isn’t in great form, following up a 2-0 loss to Charlotte on March 23 with a 2-2 draw against Nashville on March 30.

By contrast, Tigres UANL is dominating opponents. The road team in this is on a 3-match winning streak: 3-1 versus Orlando City, 5-1 against Mazatlan, and 3-2 in an impressive road win against Pueblo.

When odds land, Tigres UANL should be the slight underdog. Right now, no matter the odds, the road team is the pick. Tigres has always performed well in international tournaments. Based on recent form, Tigre UANL should score the victory on Tuesday.

New England Revolution vs America

Football Odds: New England +250; America +105; Draw +245

Tuesday, April 2nd at 9:00 pm ET
Gillette Stadium, Foxborough, Massachusetts

Here’s another matchup where the Major League Soccer club is underperforming. Home side New England has a single victory in their last 5 and it came versus Alajuelense in a Champions Cup match. Losses to Atlanta United and FC Cincinnati and draws versus Alajuelense and Chicago Fire happened in the Revolution’s other four games.

America has won 3-of-5 with a draw and a loss. Although New England has the massive edge because America must travel way north to take on the Revolution, we can’t go against America. However, backing the road team is also tough. The draw entices.

New England Revolution vs America

Inter Miami vs Monterrey

Football Odds: Monterrey +250; Inter +105; Draw +250

Wednesday, April 3rd at 9:00 pm ET
Chase Stadium, Fort Lauderdale, Florida

Monterrey versus Inter Miami should be an excellent matchup. Messi isn’t likely to play because the Great One is nursing an injury. Still, Inter Miami will be tough at home.

Luis Suarez has scored 2 goals in 2 matches. Suarez is showing the dominant form he displayed in his best days as Uruguay’s top player. If Suarez shows up, Monterrey, which had won 4 straight before falling to Guadalajara in their last, will be in some trouble. The loss to Guadalajara is a sign the road team’s form is headed south.

Inter Miami vs Monterrey
CONCACAF Betting Pick: Inter Miami | Odds for CONCACAF Champions Cup MyBookie Betting Lines for the Game

Herediano vs Pachuca

Football Odds: Herediano +190; Pachuca +150; Draw +220

Wednesday, April 3rd at 10:00 pm ET
Estadio Nacional Costa Rica, San Jose, Costa Rica

Both teams show suspect form Pachuca has lost 3-of-4 with a win. Herediano has lost 2 straight after drawing with Robinhood on March 13.

Neither team is playing well enough to attract betting dollars. If you wish to take a stab on the Costa Rican home team, go for it. But, betting wise, the best play in this matchup appears to be the draw.

2022 CONCACAF CL Betting Analysis for Quarterfinal Matches

Previous Betting News

CONCACAF Champions League returned with a bang last month, as the 16 teams in the competition got things started. Of the eight teams that advanced, four are from MLS, three are from Liga MX in Mexico, and there is one team left from Liga Nacional in Guatemala.

Oddly enough, none of the MLS teams are paired up to face one another, which should make things interesting when the first legs of the quarterfinals are played on March 8 and 9. Let’s take a closer look at the four quarterfinal matchups in the CONCACAF CL so you can make your bets against the CONCACAF Champions League odds.

CONCACAF Champions League Quarter Final Round Analysis

Seattle Sounders vs Leon

The Sounders have high hopes for this competition, although they’ve been a little unconvincing early in the season. They settled for a scoreless draw in the first leg of the Round of 16 against what should have been an overmatched Motagua. Of course, Seattle won the second leg 5-0, getting five goals from five different players.

However, the Sounders turned around and lost their MLS opener, so they’ve been a little slow out of the gate. Seattle has to hope that getting the first round against Leon can help them get off on the right foot.

In fairness, Leon hasn’t exactly jumped out to the top of the Liga MX standings early in the season. Nobody but Victor Davila has been able to find the back of the net during the first part of the season.

On the bright side, Leon has been tough to break down defensively, so perhaps they can keep the Sounders contained and force a couple of low-scoring matches that will give them a chance to advance.

New York City FC vs Comunicaciones

The reigning MLS champs had no problem with Costa Rican side Santos in the first leg, and Comunicaciones gives them another favorable matchup in the quarterfinals.

However, the Pigeons have done a lot of traveling during the early part of the season, so it’s fair to wonder if they could get a little tired, especially with two road games on the West Coast early in the MLS season.

Plus, NYCFC can’t overlook Comunicaciones after the Guatemalan side knocked off the Colorado Rapids in the last round. Los Cremas was able to get a 1-0 win at home and ultimately force a penalty shoot-out against the Rapids. That win should give them a huge confidence boost heading into the quarterfinals, even against the MLS champs.

New England Revolution vs Pumas UNAM

After failing to win MLS Cup last season, the Revs can perhaps make up for it by winning the Champions League. In some ways, New England has added talent since last season, bringing in Sebastian Lletget and Cozy Altidore. But they also lost Talon Buchanan, so they are still trying to figure out how the pieces fit together.

On the other side, UNAM has been one of the best defensive teams in Liga MX early in the season. The Cougars haven’t quite put things together on the attacking end, settling for draws in domestic action recently. But they surely won’t be intimidated by New England’s attack.

Cruz Azul vs CF Montreal

Cruz Azul is arguably the favorite to win the Champions League at this point. Despite taking a couple of losses early in the Liga MX season, La Maquina has the pieces to make a run. The Mexican side also bested a Canadian side in the last round and shouldn’t be too bothered by the trip to Montreal in mid-March.

It’s not as if Montreal was overly convincing in the last round, losing the first leg to Santos Laguna before winning the second leg 3-0. Montreal also faltered in the squad’s MLS opener and will need to step it up to get past Cruz Azul.

Violette vs. Club Leon

Where: Estadio Cibao, Santiagos, Dominican Republic
When: Tuesday, April 11, 2023

The Haitian champs made enough sensations this year, and it appears that their fantastic adventure is over. Club Leon was victorious in the first leg, beating the rivals 5-0, so the rematch is a formality.

Both of these units like to play open and offensive-minded football. Violette will go after a win at home, that’s for sure, while on the other side, the Mexicans won’t play with their best lineup, preserving the top players for later challenges.

That should increase the chances of a high-scoring affair. Violette should be able to net at least once, and Leon is very gifted when it comes to scoring, therefore, plenty of goals on both ends is something expected in Haiti.

LAFC vs. Vancouver Whitecaps

Where: Banc of California Stadium, LA
When: Tuesday, April 11, 2023

An MLS matchup in the CONCACAF Champions League quarterfinals saw one side dominating the other during the opening 90 minutes. The MLS champs, LAFC, rolled over the Whitecaps in Canada, 0-3, sending a strong message to all the other rivals in the competition.

The hosts are slowly reaching their desired form. LAFC didn’t start the season as furious as some expected, but with time passing, they are getting better and better. FC has just one loss in the last nine events, while at home, the black and gold have four wins in five contests.

Vancouver is struggling to find a proper formula and start winning. Their results are mixed, and the Canadians are still creating chemistry, so nobody expects them to do anything noticeable in LA.

Atlas vs. Philadelphia Union

We won’t take too much of your time here. Philly won the first leg, 1-0, after 90 minutes of a violent and tough battle. We saw a red card, a late penalty, and lots of professional fouls on the pitch.

There is no reason to see anything different in Mexico, and given the fact that both teams play defensive-minded and inefficient football, nobody expects to see more than a couple of goals in this one.

UNAL Tigres vs. Motagua

Where: Estadio Universitario, San Nicolás de los Garza, Mexico

The Mexicans survived the first leg in Honduras and, furthermore, won that clash 1-0. It wasn’t a pleasant event to watch, but the Tigers overcame all the adversities and returned home with an extremely positive score.

They have been terrible in Liga MX in recent times, but it appears that Marco Antonio "Chima" Ruiz decided to put all the energy into the Champions League and go after the title while sacrificing other competitions.

They shouldn’t lose at home against Motagua, with frenetic fans supporting them throughout all 90 minutes.

ML Odds: Cruz Azul +175 / CF Montreal +146 / Draw +230
Over/Under: O 2 ½ -117 / U 2 ½ -116

Cruz Azul leads 1-0 on the aggregate, which makes this a must victory for CF Montreal. The MLS squad doesn’t show very good form, though.

Montreal has lost 4-of-5. Since beating Santos 3-0 in a CONCACAF Champions League match on Feb. 23, the slight home chalk has fallen to Orlando City 2-0, lost to Philadelphia Union 1-2, dropped the first leg to Cruz Azul 1-0, and lost to New York City FC 4-1.

While CF Montreal has struggled, Cruz Azul has rolled in their last couple. Not only did the road dog beat Montreal 1-0, but they also took down rival Pumas UNAM 2-1 on March 12.

Montreal has a home field edge. But Cruz Azul is in much better form. The dog is worth a look.

Pumas UNAM must play one of their best matches of the season to have any shot of overtaking New England Revolution and moving to the semifinals. The Revolution blasted Pumas 3-0 in the first leg, which means Pumas, who followed up the loss by dropping another game to Cruz Azul, must make up 3 goals.

That won’t be easy. But before dropping Pumas and going with New England, realize that the Revolution followed up the win over Pumas with a loss to Real Salt Lake.

New England isn’t in great form. Still, beating a team by 3 goals is close to impossible. Pumas UNAM should win this, though.

They figure to come close to taking the aggregate, but it won’t be enough. Pumas gets the straight up victory in the second leg while New England Revolution moves to the semis by winning the aggregate.

Why New York City FC will beat Comunicaciones

New York City’s form had been less than stellar. On Feb. 27, NYCFC fell by a goal, 1-0, to rival LA Galaxy. Then on March 5, New York City drew 0-0 with the Vancouver Whitecaps.

But since the draw, NYCFC shows the 3-1 win over Comunicaciones and a 4-1 victory against CF Montreal. Now playing their best soccer, New York should have no trouble closing the door on their Guatemalan City rivals with at least a 1-0 victory.

Why Comunicaciones will beat New York City FC

Comunicaciones tied the first leg 1-1. But then, the top team in the Guatemalan League fell apart. City scored a quick 2 goals to make the game 3-1. After that New York City FC cruised to a 3-1 victory. Comunicaciones is aware of the mistakes they made in the first match. So they should be more than ready to take down NYCFC on Tuesday night.

Final Betting Analysis: Comunicaciones vs New York City FC

If New York City FC had won the first match by a 2-1 score, Comunicaciones would have a shot to win this on the aggregate. But with a 3-1 score, the home team will find it difficult to secure a victory.

Comunicaciones is a good team, though. They can also be ultra-aggressive. Usually, aggressiveness in soccer can lead to big time wins.

In this case, it should lead to a big time loss. Comunicaciones’ aggressiveness in the first leg is how they were able to tie the match. By continuing to be aggressive, the defense fell apart and New York City FC countered with a couple of quick scores.

The home team has no shot to move to the semifinals if they don’t beat NYFC by at least 2 goals. Laying it all on the line will backfire. New York City FC gets the victory.
