Before we delve into the nitty-gritty of each team’s chances, let’s take a moment to consider the Copa America soccer odds.

This will help us identify which South American giants are favored to take home the coveted trophy, and which might be surprise contenders.

The Americans have a quality squad, one that can hang with the likes of Brazil and Colombia.

Which teams should be on your radar to take the 2024 Copa America title?

Check out Copa America soccer odds, analysis, and picks for the upcoming tournament.

2024 Copa America Picks

To Win: Argentina +175

About a decade ago, Brazil was the top South American soccer team.

But then came along a man named Messi and rival Argentina caught up and surpassed the Brazilians.

This year’s Argentina team is much more than Lionel Messi.

Lautaro Martinez, Nicolas Gonzalez and Juan Alvarez are all in their early to mid-twenties.

Forward Alejandro Garnacho and midfielder Valentin Carboni are both nineteen.

Also, Argentina has been brilliant in their international friendlies dominating teams like Guatemala without breaking a sweat.

Give the Albiceleste another Copa title.

2024 To Win Pick: Argentina

Runner up: Uruguay +500

Darwin Nunez, Brian Ocampo, and Augustin Canobbio lead a forwards room that still includes the likes of the great Luis Suarez.

The midfield might be the best at the Copa.

Few teams boast players like Real Madrid’s Federico Valverde and Paris Saint-Germain’s Manuel Ugarte.

Also, Uruguay, no doubt, had the most impressive Copa America warmup of any of the South American teams, dusting a decent Mexico squad 4-0 on June 4.

Although Brazil offers lower odds, the Uruguayans are a solid pick to finish second to Messi and his team.

2024 Runner up Pick: Uruguay

Third Place: Brazil +225

Brazil should win their group.

Still, the Brazilians didn’t play great in a draw against the U.S.

and a 1-goal victory over Mexico in their last 2 international friendly matches.

The team is loaded with stars, including two from Real Madrid, Rodrygo and Vinicius Junior.

But Brazil’s soccer program hasn’t been at the level it has been in the past.

For some reason, the Brazilians haven’t produced the beautiful game that their fans expect.

For sure, Brazil can win.

At the odds, though, mighty Brazil is an overlay to take the Copa title.

2024 Third Pick: Brazil

Top Underdog: United States +1200

The U.S. soccer program has made great strides in recent years.

The U.S. has some talent, boasting 19 UEFA League players, including 2 at AC Milan, forward Christian Pulisic and midfielder Yunus Musah.

Folarin Balogun plays at AS Monaco.

Brendan Aronson plays for Union Berlin.

For sure, the United States isn’t as deep in talent as Argentina, Uruguay, and Brazil, but the U.S.

should be able to hang with Chile, Venezuela, Bolivia, and the other South American nations.

Also, the United States is deeper than Mexico and Canada, the two top CONCACAF squads.

Give the U.S. a real chance to upset Brazil for third if the two meet in the consolation game.

If Argentina and Uruguay fumble, the United States might pull off the unthinkable and win the Copa America.

2024 Underdog Pick: United States

2021 Copa America Matches to Wager On: Venezuela vs Colombia, Peru vs Brazil

Previous Betting News

The 2021 Copa America marches on this Thursday, June 17 with a couple of interesting matches. The first involves Colombia taking on Venezuela. The second has Peru against Brazil. Both the Venezuelans and Peruvians are huge underdogs in their trips to the pitch. Brazil is such a massive favorite over Peru that Neymar, Gabriel Jesus, and the rest of the Brazilians are at -1 ½ and -153. Do the Peruvians and Venezuelans have any shot of keeping their matches close? Check out current Copa America odds on MyBookie, analysis, and free picks for Thursday’s Copa America group stage matches.

2021 Copa America Matches Worth Betting On June 17

Top 2021 Copa America Matches of the Day

When: Thursday, June 17

Venezuela +1 ½ (-112) vs Colombia -1 ½ (-113)

When: Thursday, June 17

Colombia has played great since June 3. The Colombian’s dominated Peru 3-0 in a FIFA World Cup Qualifying match. Then on June 8, in another World Cup qualifier, the chalk in this drew 2-2 against favored Argentina. In their first Copa America match, Colombia beat Ecuador 1-0.

Venezuela hasn’t won a match since Nov. 17, 2020, when they upset Chile 2-1 in a FIFA World Cup Qualifying contest. Since then, the Venezuelans have struggled, falling 1-3 to Bolivia on June 3, drawing 0-0 against Uruguay on June 8, and losing 0-3 to Brazil in their first Copa America match on June 13.

Colombia beat Venezuela 3-0 in the last head-to-head. Although the Colombians didn’t show their best offense in the win over Ecuador, Venezuela isn’t as good of a soccer team as the Ecuadorians. Colombia should cover this handicap.

Soccer Pick: Colombia

Peru +1 ½ (+119) vs Brazil -1 ½ (-153)

When: Thursday, June 17

The Brazilians have played better than their third in the world FIFA ranking. The Brazilians dominated Peru 4-2 last Oct. 13. Neymar scored 3 goals. Richarlison knocked in the other goal.

In their first Copa America match, the Brazilians got 3 goals, one each from Neymar, Marquinhos, and Gabriel, when destroying Venezuela 3-0. Brazil won their 4 matches before the Copa America tilt on June 13, beating Venezuela 1-0, Uruguay 2-0, Ecuador 2-0, and Paraguay 2-0.

Peru plays tough, but Brazil is, easily, one of the top three teams in the world. Only France and Belgium can say they’re better than Brazil and it’s difficult to put either one of those teams ahead of the Brazilians because Liverpool goalkeeper Alisson is in Brazil’s net.

Brazil should have no issue covering this handicap. Expect Brazil to put on a show. Neymar and his mates should win this by 2. Don’t be surprised if Brazil wins by 3.

Soccer Pick: Brazil .

Predictions & Safe Soccer Odds On Copa America Centenario

Previous Betting News

It has been a tournament to remember so far at the Copa America Centenario, and with the quarter-finals right around the corner, it’s almost a guarantee that things are about to get even more exciting. There are still a lot of soccer odds you can bet on this coming week before this tournament comes to an end later in June, and for many bettors, that means keeping an eye open for lines that may be in the safer side.

Predictions & Safe Soccer Odds On Copa America Centenario

There is, of course, no such thing as a sure bet in soccer, which is probably a sentiment being echoed by the countless people who choked on Brazil to easily make it to the quarter-final stages. It’s a little tricky, but there may well be a few wagers that can be considered to be safer than most in the next few days, so let’s take a look at a few.

Putting Your Money On Argentina

There is no two ways about it; Argentina have looked like the class of the tournament, and they have done so without having to rely on Lionel Messi yet. They had a 2-1 win over Chile in the opening game without Messi in the team, and then beat Panama 5-0, with Messi bagging 3 goals in a brief appearance as a substitute. Their last game in the group stage is versus Bolivia, which is a team that they should easily handle. I’d take them to win that one, and might also look at the OVER if Messi is in the starting line-up.

Wager on Chile to make the Quarter-Finals

Chile and Panama are tied on 3 points behind Argentina in Group D, and they will face one another in the final group game to decide who moves on. Panama ran into injury and suspension trouble against Argentina in their previous game, and they are going to have a bit of a makeshift line-up for this crucial game. Chile are a talented side, not to mention the defending Copa America champions, and they should be too strong for an undermanned Panama side here.

A Couple of Good Quarter-Final Bets

The surprise team of the tournament has to be Peru, as they landed on top of Group B with 7 points, and eliminating Brazil in the process. As well as they have done to make it through, they have not looked particularly convincing, especially in front of goal. They are in for a tough quarter-final match-up against a Colombia team sure to be out for blood after losing to Costa Rica and finishing second in Group A. Colombia winning this one and moving on may be my safest bet of the lot.

The other quarter-final match-up that has already been decided will see the host United States go up against Ecuador. The difference maker in this one may well be the location, as Seattle is sure to be hostile territory for Ecuador. This stadium is loud, and the fans may well be the 12th man that helps the US move on to the semis.
