These two show similar form. Quality of opponent means something, though, which is why the Czech Republic has the edge.

On Sep. 8, Wales drew 0-0 with Estonia. In their World Cup Qualifying match before, on Sep. 5, the Welsh struggled to get past Belarus 3-2.

The Czech Republic lost 0-3 to Belgium on Sep. 5. But on Sep. 8, the Czechs drew 1-1 versus tough Ukraine. Give the Czech Republic, one of the EURO 2020’s surprise squads, the nod.

Latvia is a mess while the Netherlands is on fire. The Dutch have won their last couple of WC qualifiers by a combined 10-1 score.

The Netherlands beat Montenegro 4-0 on Sep. 4. Then on Sep. 7, the Dutch dusted Turkey 6-1. Latvia has a victory, 3 losses, and a draw in their last 5.

At EURO 2020, England beat Germany 2-0. Since then, the Germans have dominated with a 2-0 win against Leichtenstein, a 6-0 win over Armenia, and a 4-0 victory versus Iceland.

Romania, though, has played well in 2-of-3. The Romanians beat Iceland 2-0 and Liechtenstein 2-0 before drawing 0-0 with North Macedonia. Germany could win this by 3. The likelier outcome is the Germans prevail by 1.
