MyBookie Liga MX: Latest Updates and Insights Matchday 4 Betting Odds

Liga MX, which is the top league in Mexican football, is interesting in how it works. In almost every other major league across the world, teams play a full season and end it all with a champion crowned.

In Liga MX, they have 2 separate title challenges over the course of a year. The Apertura is the first competition, after which we get the Clausura. Each team plays 17 games in each of those seasons, with the top 10 teams going to a playoff to decide the title.

MyBookie Liga MX Matchday 4 Analysis

America came into the current Clausura season winning each of the last 3 championships, so they will once again be the team to beat this season.

We are only 3 games into the Clausura season, so there is still a lot of football to be played before we get to the playoffs.

The next matchday begins on Tuesday of this week, and we are going to pick out the best games on the upcoming schedule, with predictions for each.

Before we get into that, though, we thought it might be fun to talk about some of the props and future bets that are available for the Clausura season, so let’s do that first before we get to the previews.

Liga MX Props and Future Bets

The most obvious wager available at the moment is picking the winner of the Clausura. As we mentioned earlier, it is America that is the team to beat, given that they have now won 3 straight championships.

That is some accomplishment, and they certainly look ready to make another deep run, as they are back atop the table after the opening 3 games of this season.

Similarly, you can also bet on which teams make the playoffs via a simple YES or NO wager. There are some obvious picks that may not deliver a ton of value, but you also have some mid-table and lower teams who might be worth taking a risk on.

I would not wait too long to get those wagers in, though, as the odds will change quickly after each passing matchday in Liga MX.

Besides the team wagers, you also have individual player props to wager on, the most common of which is picking the top scorer.

Diber Cambindo is the current top scorer with 3 goals, but there are several players sitting on 2 goals, so this one might be a trickier wager.

Liga MX Matchday 4 Previews and Predictions

America -218 vs San Luis +550 (Draw +350)

Liga MX Prediction: America 2-1 San Luis
When: Tuesday, January 28, 2025, 7:00 PM

At this stage of the proceedings, America is a team with nothing left to prove, which makes you wonder if they can once again scale the heights and win it all again this season. They have started strong, picking up 7 points from a possible 9, scoring 6 goals and surrendering just 2. San Luis made it into the playoffs last season, but they are out to a slow start this time around, winning just 1 of their opening 3 games. They have managed just 3 goals while surrendering 7. America has had the best of this matchup over the years, and I like them to get another win here.

Leon +161 vs Chivas +164 (Draw +234)

Liga MX Prediction: Leon 0-1 Chivas
When: Tuesday, January 28, 2025, 9:00 PM

Last season, Chivas made it into the playoffs, while Leon just missed out. As it stands now, they are both in the top 10, but as we have said, it is still very early in the Clausura season. Leon opened this season with a loss, but they have bounced back nicely, winning 2 in a row ahead of this one. There is not a lot of offense in Leon’s games, with a total of 4 goals scored in their opening 3 games. Chivas is 2 points back of Leon in the table after going 1-1-1 to start the season. They have scored 4 goals in those outings, surrendering the same number of goals. This matchup tends to be close, and I expect more of the same here.

Necaxa +275 vs Cruz Azul -107 (Draw +260)

Liga MX Prediction: Necaxa 1-2 Cruz Azul
When: Tuesday, January 28, 2025, 9:05 PM

It has only been a little over a month since Cruz Azul finished atop the Apertura table, but they are having a tough time repeating that form. They are sitting at the 2nd bottom of the Clausura table after drawing 2 of their opening 3 games and losing the other. Goals have been hard to come by, as they have managed to score just 2 times while surrendering 3. Necaxa is out to a good start, winning 2 in a row after losing their opening game, a run that has them in 3rd place in the table. They have scored 7 goals and surrendered 4 to this point in the season. I think we might see Cruz Azul bounce back here.

Tigres -183 vs Tijuana +470 (Draw +320)

Liga MX Prediction: Tigres 3-1 Tijuana
When: Tuesday, January 28, 2025, 9:00 PM

Both of these teams made it into the Apertura playoffs, so the expectation from their fans is that it will be more of the same this season. Tigres is definitely holding up their end of the bargain, going unbeaten to start the season, winning twice and drawing the other. They have scored 6 times and surrendered 3. Tijuana is having a tougher time and are sitting below the cut line, but they are coming off a win in their last game. They have scored 5 times and surrendered 6. Tigres has had the best of recent meetings with Tijuana, and I think we see them win again.

Pumas +123 vs Toluca +202 (Draw +255)

MyBookie Liga MX Prediction: Pumas 1-1 Toluca
When: Wednesday, January 29, 2025, 9:05 PM

The final game of our preview is set for Wednesday night, and it features two more teams that are currently sitting in the top 10 in the table. Pumas started the Clausura season with a win, but they have managed just 1 point from their last 2 games. They have scored 4 goals and surrendered 4, too. Toluca took 4 points from a possible 6 in their first 2 games of the season, but they are coming off a loss to Mazatlan in their last outing. They have scored 6 times and surrendered 5.
