The MLS sprints towards the finish line with all teams having less than ten games left in the regular season. For some teams, this is a two-game week and a great chance to pick up some points.
In the Eastern Conference, only three points separate second from fourth place, and five teams are separated by one point for the final two playoff spots. In the West, six points seaprates third place from ninth place.
Let’s take a look at one big game this weekend from each conference so you can get ready to bet against their MLS Odds.

Scoring Machine Austin FC Heads to Minnesota
This has been a fun and crazy season for Austin FC to the extent that last week’s wild 4-3 comeback win doesn’t even rank at the top of their amazing games. The win kept them in second place in the West, but they trail leaders LAFC by nine points with nine games left in the regular season. This weekend they face fourth-place Minnesota United, fresh off a 2-1 win in Nashville last weekend.
Saturday’s contest will be the first at home for Minnesota since July 30, when they drew 4-4 against Portland Timbers. They have allowed eight goals in their last three games but have also scored eight times to get a win, draw, and loss. The Loons haven’t lost at home since May, and they have scored in 11 straight games since that 1-0 loss to NYCFC.
Austin leads the MLS with 54 goals scored on the season, and no team has more road wins than their eight. They trailed Sporting KC 3-1 at halftime last weekend and ultimately scored twice after the 85th minute to win 4-3. Sebastian Druissi had the game-winner and leads MLS with 17 goals on the season, while Diego Fagundez has ten assists.
When the teams met in Texas back in April, Austin FC won 1-0 on a goal by Maxi Urruti. Last year Minnesota won two of the three meetings, and all four games in the team’s history have been shutouts. Emmanuel Reynoso leads Minnesota with nine goals, while Luis Amarilla has eight.
At MyBookie, Minnesota United is a slight home favorite but is still getting plus odds at +109. Austin FC is +205 to take all three points back to Texas, while a draw is +275.
Red Bulls Need to Defend Home Field
One of the more intriguing matchups in the East this weekend features the New York Red Bulls hosting FC Cincinnati. The Red Bulls are in fourth place in the East with 40 points, while FCC is in a four-way tie for sixth place with 33 points.
These teams met in Cincinnati a month ago, and the game ended with a 1-1 draw. Brandon Vazquez scored early for FCC, and Lewis Morgan converted a penalty kick eight minutes later to tie the game. The game ended with fireworks as FCC captain Luciano Acosta got a red card for an altercation with RBNY’s Aaron Long, and Acosta made contact with the referee and suffered a multi-game suspension.
Since Acosta returned to the lineup, Cincinnati has nine goals in three games. They have just one loss since May 28, but also only two wins as eight of their last 11 games have ended in draws. Vazquez leads the team with 15 goals, while Brenner has nine and Acosta has six.
After scoring four times in consecutive games on July 24 and August 2, the Red Bulls were shut out in two straight games. They bounced back for a 2-1 win on Wednesday in Atlanta as Morgan and John Tolkin found the back of the net. The Red Bulls are led in scoring by Morgan with 11 goals while Luquinhas has five.
The Red Bulls have a losing record at home this season at 3-4-5, while FCC is 4-4-4 on the road. Despite those stats, the Red Bulls are a sizable home favorite on MyBookie at -138. Cincinnati is +340 to win on the road while a draw is +295.
