It’s the final matchday of the Nations League in Europe, and while some things have been decided, there are still a lot of storylines to discuss over the next couple of days.

It’s worth noting that there is promotion and relegation between the leagues, as well as figuring out which teams in League A will be heading to the knockout phase of the tournament.

This is quite possibly a must win game for Croatia, as they are in danger of losing their #2 spot if they cannot get something from this game. They were put in this spot after a 1-0 loss to Scotland a few days ago, a result that tightened things up rather dramatically in the group.

Being at home helps, but they are going against an uneaten Portugal side, who are coming off a dominating 5-1 win over Poland in their last game. Portugal are already into the knockout phase, so might they take their foot off the gas? I think the best bet here is the OVER.

Poland +144 vs Scotland +189

When: Monday, November 18, 2024, 2:45 PM
Where: PGE Narodowy, Warsaw, Poland

Given how tight this group has become, we have to stick with Group 1 for the next preview. The winner of this one could potentially find their way into the top 2, while the loser will be relegated from League A, so it’s definitely all to play for.

Poland beat Scotland 3-2 in an absolute thriller when they met earlier in this group, but they were perhaps a little fortunate to get that win. Scotland have played better than their results suggest, but their 1-0 win over Croatia a few days back has opened things up and kept their hopes of staying in League A alive.

Serbia +161 vs Denmark +175

When: Monday, November 18, 2024, 2:45 PM
Where: Gradski stadion Dubocica, Leskovac, Serbia

This is the game that will decide who gets the #2 spot in Group 4. Spain have already clinched the top spot and their place in the quarterfinal, but who will join them? Denmark had a comfortable 2-0 win over Serbia in their previous meeting, but that one was at home.

Since then, they have managed just 1 point from a possible 9, so they are not in particularly great form. Serbia has just 1 win in their last 5 games, so despite being at home, I’m not confident they can get the win.

Bosnia +790 vs Netherlands -330

When: Tuesday, November 19, 2024, 2:45 PM
Where: Bilino Polje, Zenica, Bosnia and Herzegovina

It’s a smaller schedule on Tuesday, but there is still one game worth talking about. By the look of things, the Netherlands look primed to take the #2 spot behind Germany, as they can potentially lose this one and still be safe.

Hungary, their closest rival and the only team that can catch them, need to beat Germany, which seems unlikely. Still, I think the Netherlands will want to leave nothing to chance and will go all out for the win in this one.
