All across Europe, we are seeing the top leagues begin to wind their seasons down, with champions set to be crowned. It is a similar story to the biggest soccer tournament in Europe, the Champions League Betting, as we will see the field reduced to just 4 teams after the next set of games this week.
We are in the quarterfinals right now with the opening leg already in the books. Even with 90 minutes of football still to come in all 4 games, you do have to say that a couple of them look to be decided already.
Champions League Betting Quarterfinals Leg 2
As we already mentioned, we have had the first leg of each of the 4 games, but the job is not yet fully done.
The next set of games, which will be played on Tuesday and Wednesday this week, will decide which 4 teams move on, so let’s take a look at the games and make some predictions:
Aston Villa +216 vs PSG +105 (Draw +275)
When: Tuesday, April 15, 2025, 3:00 PM
UCL Prediction: Aston Villa 2-2 PSG
Aston Villa initially led in Paris, hinting at an upset, but collapsed in the second half as PSG scored three goals, ending the match 3-1 in their favor.
Villa faces a challenging task that requires an aggressive strategy, risking exposure to counterattacks. Anticipating numerous goals, betting on the over seems wise, with PSG likely advancing in the end.
^Borussia Dortmund +270 vs Barcelona -125 (Draw +310)
When: Tuesday, April 15, 2025, 3:00 PM
UCL Prediction: Borussia Dortmund 1-2 Barcelona
Borussia faces a daunting challenge with 9 minutes left, trailing in a tie. Barcelona’s commanding 4-0 home victory significantly boosts their chances of advancing to the Champions League semi-finals, making Borussia’s pursuit increasingly difficult.
Barcelona can absorb pressure while possessing the ability to strike back at Dortmund. I expect Barcelona to succeed in their away match in Germany on Tuesday.
^Inter +155 vs Bayern Munich +150 (Draw +260)
When: Wednesday, April 16, 2025, 3:00 PM
UCL Prediction: Inter 1-1 Bayern Munich
Finally, we have ourselves a game that is still very much in the balance, although you do have to say that Inter has the edge right now. They went to Germany for the first leg and came away with a 2-1 win. Now, heading home, they have the opportunity to close things out.
Inter has excelled defensively in the tournament, while Bayern, spearheaded by Harry Kane, boasts a potent attack. However, with a lead at home, Inter will be challenging to overcome, suggesting they will advance in the competition.
^Real Madrid -154 vs Arsenal +370 (Draw +295)
When: Wednesday, April 16, 2025, 3:00 PM
UCL Prediction: Real Madrid 2-1 Arsenal
We are eventually going to reach the point where we talk about the favorite to win the Champions League this season, but we are already seeing the favorites fall. Liverpool is out, and now Real Madrid, the defending champions, are very much on the brink.
Last week, they went to London for the first leg and were totally outclassed by Arsenal, who won 3-0. This Madrid team, while still good, is not up to the level of recent seasons.

The Current Champions League Betting Odds
At this point last week, the bookies had Barcelona in as the favorite to end the season as the champions of Europe, and they definitely backed up that label with a dominating win in Leg 1 of their quarterfinal game.
We have seen the odds change throughout this tournament, so let’s take a look at how they are now:
- Barcelona +200
- PSG +226
- Arsenal +330
- Inter +600
- Bayern Munich +1400
- Real Madrid +2000
- Aston Villa +10000
- Borussia Dortmund +50000
The top 3 teams look to be as close to safely moving on as it gets, but who will finish as champions when all is said and done?
Barcelona now looks like the team to beat, but I would keep an eye on Inter. They easily have the best defense in the tournament, which is always dangerous.
Those odds are very tempting indeed.
^Other Wagers to Consider
There have been a couple of different props that we have been following all season, so let’s take a look at how those options look now:
Two teams from the same country in the final
Heading into this round, the only option that was still available was an all-Spain final, but with Real Madrid in real trouble, that option looks to be dead.
Top goal scorer in the tournament
At this point of the proceedings, you are basically looking at a 50/50 pick for the top scorer, with a pair of Barcelona players leading the way.
Raphina has 12 goals, while Robert Lewandowski has 11, so it is going to be a friendly battle all the way to the end.
Top assist provider in the tournament
You have a good parlay opportunity here, as there is a very good chance that Raphina does the double and tops the board in goals and assists.

2025 Quarterfinals Leg 1
This season began with a new format for Bet on Champions League, with UEFA making the decision to move away from groups into a single league table setup. The upshot was that teams ended up playing 8 games in that phase instead of the 6 games that they were used to playing in the old format.
At the end of that portion of the tournament, the top 8 teams in the league went into the Round of 16, while teams 9 through 24 went into a playoff to decide who the other 8 teams would be.
Bet on Champions League Quarterfinals & How Teams Got There
The Round of 16 is now concluded, and we advance to the quarterfinals. Four games will be played in two legs. Let’s review how the final 8 teams got through and make predictions.
Surprising teams advance in the tournament after the early elimination of favorites Liverpool and Manchester City. There could be more surprises before a champion is crowned. Let’s take a look at the upcoming matchups and predictions.
Arsenal +135 vs Real Madrid +195 (Draw +228)
When: Tuesday, April 8, 2025, 3:00 PM
This is a fantastic matchup, but it is also on that I think is pretty unpredictable. Sure, Madrid are the defending champions and are historically great in this tournament, but they are also very up and down this season.
Arsenal’s situation mirrors this, as their only hope for silverware lies in the competition. They finished 3rd in the league, earning 19 points, and advanced after defeating PSV 9-3 in the Round of 16.
This might be closer than a lot of people expect, but I do still think that Madrid will win over the 2 legs.
Bayern Munich -105 vs Inter +275 (Draw +242)
When: Tuesday, April 8, 2025, 3:00 PM
Bayern’s slow league start was problematic, leading to a 12th-place finish and playoff qualification. In the playoffs, they narrowly advanced after a last-minute goal against Celtic in the second leg.
Bayern easily defeated Leverkusen 5-0 over 2 legs. Inter conceded only 1 goal in 8 matches, finished 4th in the league, and advanced to face Feyenoord in Round of 16.
Defense ruled again for Inter, who won 4-1 over the 2 legs. This is another tough one to call, but I am leaning toward Bayern Munich and their powerful offense, to overcome the fortress that is the Inter defense.
Barcelona -280 vs Borussia Dortmund +600 (Draw +430)
When: Wednesday, April 9, 2025, 3:00 PM
Barcelona now has the distinction of being the highest ranked team left in the tournament. They closed out the league phase in great form, finishing 2nd overall behind Liverpool, who crashed out in the last round.
Barcelona was also the highest scoring team in the league phase, scoring 28 times in 8 games. They didn’t need a ton of offense in the last round, easing past Benfica by winning 4-1 over the 2 games.
They had to face Sporting in the playoffs, but Dortmund looked comfortable in a 3-0 win over the 2 legs.
They then squeezed past Lille, winning that one 3-2 on aggregate. I think that is as far as Dortmund is going to make it, though, as I like Barcelona to move on.
PSG -265 vs Aston Villa +600 (Draw +390)
When: Wednesday, April 9, 2025, 3:00 PM
I think it’s fair to suggest that this is the surprise matchup of the round, as I didn’t expect either of these teams to still be alive and well at this stage of the proceedings.
Paris Saint-Germain finished down in 15th place in the league, although they closed out in good form, winning 4 of their last 5 games. Still, they had to go the playoffs route.
PSG dominated Brest 10-0 overall but faced Liverpool, where after a tied aggregate, they triumphed in penalties to advance in the competition.
Villas started the competition strong, but they faded a little toward the end of the group stage, although they did land in the top 8.
They made short work of Brugge in the Round of 16, winning 6-1 over the 2 legs. I think Villa might just make it out of this round, too. There is, of course, no guarantee that the pick we made above will play out the way we believe they will.
Many surprises have occurred, so expecting a few more isn’t shocking. Let’s explore some future wagers you can make now.
Odds and Picks for the Champions League
As the Champions League nears its conclusion, it’s time to finalize future wagers. We’ll cover available props and futures, including odds to win, and select a new pick after Liverpool’s elimination.
Will We Get An All-Spanish Final?
Heading into this tournament, there were multiple different variations of this wager available.
Initially, three English teams were Champions League favorites, suggesting an all-English final, but now only an all-Spanish final remains a possibility heading into the quarterfinals.
Real Madrid and Barcelona may meet in the final with +550 odds. If you believe one will exit before then, NO is available at -1299 odds.
Top Goal Scorer in the Champions League
Raphina of Barcelona leads the Champions League Golden Boot race with 11 goals, while Harry Kane (10) of Bayern Munich and Robert Lewandowski (9) of Barcelona could still challenge him.
Here are the current odds in the race to be the top scorer of the tournament:
- Raphina +200
- Harry Kane +270
- Robert Lewandowski +295
- Sehrou Guirassy +600
For me, Barcelona looks likely to move on from the quarterfinals, so it would be easy to go with either Raphina or Lewandowski.
Most Assists in the Champions League
Goal scorers get the most attention, but team play is key. Raphina could achieve a double-double in goals and assists, leading in assists in this tournament.
Let’s take a look at the current odds for Champions League assists:
- Raphina +137
- Achraf Hakimi +380
- Joshua Kimmich +470
- Lamine Yamal +710
I would be more than willing to take Raphina to do the double this season, especially when you look at the scoring record of Barcelona in this tournament.
Which Team Will End the Season as Champions of Europe?
Liverpool’s elimination by PSG in the Round of 16 has significantly tightened the odds to win it all, reflecting the impact of this unexpected outcome.
- Barcelona +300
- PSG +330
- Real Madrid +350
- Bayern Munich +500
- Arsenal +700
- Milan +1000
- Aston Villa +2800
- Borussia Dortmund +4100
It really is beginning to look as though Barcelona and Real Madrid are on a collision course, but there could still be a twist in the tale.
Given their pedigree in this tournament, I am looking at Real Madrid to win it all again.
