UEFA Nations League Odds: Quarterfinals Preview, Predictions and Current Lines to Win

UEFA Nations League Odds: It wasn’t so very long ago that the idea of doing away with international friendly games was floated. There was a general lack of interest among fans and players, many of whom would drop out of their respective squads after selection.

Something needed to change, with UEFA making the genius move to introduce the Nations League. Teams are sorted, based on their rankings, into 4 different leagues, with promotion and relegation part of the picture.

How League-A Works in the UEFA Nations League Odds

Teams winning their respective leagues also won another shot at a backdoor entry into both the European Championship and World Cup via a playoff.

It has proven to be a fun tournament, with this season’s version set to come to an end over the next couple of weeks.

As mentioned, there are 4 specific leagues in this tournament, with League A home to the best teams that Europe has to offer.

The teams that finish at the bottom of their respective divisions within that League are relegated down to B, while others go into a playoff to fight for their survival.

The top 2 teams in each of the League A divisions head into a knockout tournament to decide the Nations League winner.

Those games are played over 2 legs, home and home, with the aggregate winner moving on.

Let’s take a look at the 4 quarterfinal matchups coming our way, with predictions for each.

Croatia +242 vs France +111 (Draw +230)

When: Thursday, March 20, 2025, 3:45 PM

These two team have quite the history when talking about head-to-head meetings.

Of course, their most famous matchup came in the 2018 World Cup Final, which France won by a score of 4-2, but they have met 3 times since then, all in Nations League play.

It has been an even split between those 3 meetings, with each team winning once and the other ending in a draw.

Outside the World Cup Final, goals tend to be at a premium when these two go head-to-head, so UNDER might be worth a look in both games.

France will probably be content to sit back and keep things tight in Game 1, making it tough for Croatia heading back to France this weekend.

Outside of that, I like France to win and move on.

Denmark +224 vs Portugal +120 (Draw +226)

When: Thursday, March 20, 2025, 3:45 PM

There have been 3 Nations League tournaments to this point, and Portugal is one of the 3 teams who have won this competition, beating the Netherlands 1-0 in the inaugural final.

They are in good form heading into this matchup, going unbeaten in their last 5 games. Ronaldo may be in the twilight of his stellar career, but he is surrounded by a fantastic supporting cast that is good enough to win this without him.

Denmark is probably a bit of a surprise for many, and they look to be up against it here, especially when you consider that they have just 1 win in their last 5 games and are now winless in 4 straight.

They will, of course, make things tough for Ronaldo and company, but you have to like Portugal to move into the final four.

Italy +171 vs Germany +158 (Draw +218)

When: Thursday, March 20, 2025, 3:45 PM

This is a battle of a pair of European giants, both of whom have multiple World Cup titles to their name.

Interestingly enough, neither of them has won this competition, with Germany not even making it to the semi-finals in the 3 tournaments to this point.

Italy has been a little more successful, appearing in each of the last 2 semi-finals, while also recently winning a European Championship.

In their 9 previous meetings, each team has won twice, with the other 5 games ending in a draw, so this does very much feel like something of a coin flip.

Recent form has also been similar, with Germany going unbeaten in their last 5 games, while Italy has lost just once in their last 5, with that one coming at the hands of France, so nothing to be ashamed of there.

This really could go either way, but since I cannot sit on the fence, I am taking Germany to win over the two games.

Netherlands +194 vs Spain +136 (Draw +226)

When: Thursday, March 20, 2025, 3:45 PM

If you were to make me pick the team that I think is the best in Europe right now, I would probably go with Spain.

They are the current champions of Europe, plus they have appeared in each of the last 2 Nations League Finals, winning one and losing the other.

Their most recent came in the last final, when they beat Croatia on penalties.

The Netherlands are always talented and always tough to beat, but if there is a knock on this current team, it’s that they have trouble putting teams away.

While Spain has cruised to victory in each of their last 5 games, the Netherlands has just 1 win in that same stretch, as well as 3 draws and a loss.

It’s tough to imagine anyone beating the Spaniard over 2 legs, so I have to take the champion’s to win and move on.

UEFA Nations League Odds: Who Will Win?

Like I mentioned in the quarter-final game previews, it is tough to imagine any team beating Spain in this tournament.

They have an amazing mix of experience and youth in their squad and always seem to be at their best in tournament play.

That said, you can very much make a case for the majority of teams still alive in the Nations League, but the bookies certainly have their idea as to who they think will win it all.

Additionally, here are the current UEFA Nations League odds of all 8 teams:

  • Spain +295
  • France +350
  • Portugal +350
  • Germany +390
  • Italy +870
  • Netherlands +1375
  • Croatia +1550
  • Denmark +1575

Honestly, Denmark team is the only one of the 8 that I believe are totally out of the equation in terms of hoisting the trophy.

While I hate to play the chalk, it is Spain that looks to be the team to beat here, but I would also keep an eye on the Germans as a bit of a dark horse.
