Writer’s Top Races Picks Happening this Weekend
Ancelotti and Real land Mbappe but Endrick Might Be the Real Star
Even with the addition of Kylian Mbappe, arguably the best soccer player in the world, Real Madrid is second choice to Manchester City.
The thinking is that Man City rises back to the top of the UCL.
The Citizens will be good, but Carlo Ancelotti and Real, the defending champs, are sure to make an impression.
18 year old Brazilian soccer phenom Endrick made his debut in a friendly loss to AC Milan.
The 18 year old has blazing speed and incredible turn of foot. He can turn and go with the ball in less than a second.
Although he had just a single shot, he impress the boss.
Adding Endrick to a forwards room that includes Mbappe, Rodrygo, and Vinicius Junior tells us that Real hasn’t sat around this summer.
Ancelotti and Real are looking for a repeat CL title.
Young players like Endrick may help them get there.
Barca eyeing Dani Olmo After Nico Williams Potential Deal Never Gets Off the Ground
For the past couple of weeks, Barcelona and Nico Williams had wanted to strike a deal.
Landing the Spanish star forward and Athletic Club player would have catapulted Barca to near Champions League favoritism.
Williams and Barcelona would mean a repeat of Spain’s EURO 2024 winning lineup where Lamine Yamal plays on one wing and Williams plays on the other.
The deal isn’t likely.
Barca has already turned their attention towards another Spanish star, Dani Olmo.
Landing Olmo would make Barcelona a true La Liga and CL contender.
A lineup that included Raphinha, Yamal, Robert Lewandowski, and Olmo would be something to behold.
Alvarez may Be on the Move from City to Atletico
One of the reasons to give the cold shoulder to the Sky Blues to win this year’s Champions League is because super sub Argentinian Julian Alvarez is considering a move to Atletico.
Alvarez wants to play in more significant matches, he said, which is difficult to do considering Man City’s deep roster.
Losing Alvarez could be a big blow.
Although Erling Haaland had a great season, he fell flat towards the end and wasn’t able to pick things up for City in their quest for a second straight Champions League title.
Alvarez is a solid player.
Atletico is going hard after him. So expect more news soon.
Early Top Three Champions League Picks
First: Real Madrid
It makes no sense why the defending champions aren’t the opening odds chalk.
Real has won more Champions League title than any club in history and it isn’t close.
So why is Real at +300 after landing Mbappe and Endrick starting to shine?
It makes no sense. Not that we should complain. Jump on the +300 if you can find it.
Second: Arsenal
This is the season when Arsenal overtakes Man City in the Premier.
Not only will the Gunners win the Premier, but they will also make it to the Champions League Semifinals.
The Gunners could win it all behind a lineup that includes the terrific Bukayo Saka, one of the rising stars in the Premier.
Saka has the chance to win the Ballon d’Or this season.
Also, the midfield is stunning. Martin Odegaard, Declan Rice, and Kai Havertz almost rivals, Bellingham and his midfield crew at Real.
Third: Barcelona
Barca may not transfer Nico Williams, but the La Liga power has done enough under Hans Flick to bring joy back to their fans.
Expect a rousing Champions League.
Ageless Ilkay Gudogan leads a midfield that includes Pedri, 19 year old Gavi, and Fermin Lopez. Yamal broke out at the Euro Cup.
He’ll be the key. If Lewa is anything close to his old self, Barcelona is going to dominate many of their opponents.
Also, the CL odds are fantastic considering the projected lineup.

2023-24 UEFA Champions League Odds Update: Favorites to Win the Title, and Contenders
Previous Betting News
UEFA Champions League Odds to win the trophy didn’t fluctuate much last week. However, the odds have changed some since the previous week. Manchester City is an over 2-to-1 favorite as opposed to a less than +200 favorite. Also, money has begun to go to Inter. Check out an odds update along with analysis.

2023 UEFA Champions League Odds
Money is falling onto Inter Milano and Man City is now an over +200 chalk
Last week, Inter Milano was a +2300 choice. This week, bettors shaved +300 off of Inter’s odds so that Milano is now a +2000 choice to win the Champions League.
Last season’s runner-up has begun to dominate their opponents. Heading into Tuesday’s matchup versus Real Sociedad, Inter had won 3-of-5 with draws versus Juventus and top Portuguese Liga squad Benfica. So it makes sense that Champions League future bettors would put money behind Serie A’s top squad.
Manchester City had been a +175 favorite to repeat as Champions League titlists. This week, City is at +202. The odds on the Sky Blues have gone up due to key injuries. Man City will make it to the knockout stage, though.
If Pep’s team goes on a run, we should expect the odds to fall back to +175. When Manchester City is healthy, no other roster in the Champions League is close.
UEFA Champions League Updated Picks
Most Glaring Underlay: Bayern Munich +400
Bayern has the talent to win the Champions League, but the odds make them a play against. At 4-to-1, Bayern should be dominating not only their CL opponents, but also their Bundesliga opponents.
Over the weekend, Eintracht Frankfurt dusted Bayern 4-1. The loss is a sign Bayern isn’t close to what they have been in the past. Again, Bayern can win the Champions League. But the odds make them a play against.
Top Overlay: Arsenal +720
Arsenal had a fantastic group stage. The Gunners won 4, drew once, and lost once. Arsenal is also a point behind Liverpool on the current English Premier League Standings.
The Gunners have the makings of a team that can get it done. The odds suggest Arsenal is a step below Real, Bayern, and Man City. But the Gunners play in the deepest UEFA league and has held their own. At the +720 odds, Arsenal is an overlay to lift the Champions League trophy.
Best Overall Pick: Real Madrid +630
Real Madrid’s odds don’t make El Blanco as much of an overlay as Arsenal. But the team that plays at Santiago Bernabeau has had an excellent season. Real is 2 points behind Girona on the LaLiga Standings. As far as the CL is concerned, no head coach and manager has had as much success as Real legend Carlo Ancelotti.
Team to Watch: Inter Milano +2000
Inter is more than playable at the 20-to-1 odds, but it’s difficult to call them the best overlay because Internazionale doesn’t appear to be as good as Arsenal. So the chances of Inter making it to the semifinals like they did last season aren’t as good this season.
Still, Inter should be on our radar. If Internazionale continues to play as well as they have been, they will be a legit contender.

Atletico Madrid and Lazio will move on from Group E. Barcelona is on the cusp of winning Group H.
Analysis for Every UEFA Champions League Possibility to Win the Title
UEFA Champions League Possibility to Win the Title | The Favorites
Manchester City +200
Bayern +400
Real Madrid +630
Arsenal FC +740
It’s tough to back the defending champions, that’s Manchester City, to pull off the repeat victory. The Sky Blues remain a favorites to get it done, but City isn’t playing nearly as well this season as they did last season. Injuries are factor. But the lack of Ilkay Gundogan’s presence might be the biggest reason City is a play against. Gudogan was fantastic at keeping everyone on the same page.
Bayern can win it all. Bayern is 3 points behind Leverkusen in the Bundesliga. The second choice also lost in group play even though their group was the weakest among all eight. But Harry Kane is dominating. Also, the longer the season goes, the better Bayern will get.
Both Real and Arsenal are solid plays. First, the odds are much better than either Bayern’s or Man City’s. Second, both have shown they have the talent to beat their Champions League rivals.
Real Madrid always makes their presence felt in the Champions League. This season, El Blanco appears to be better than they were last season even though Karim Benzema now plays in the Saudi League.
Arsenal is 2 points ahead of Liverpool and 3 points ahead of Manchester City on the Premier League Standings. Teams that play well in their league don’t always play well in the Champions League, but the Gunners have. We can’t question Arsenal’s quality.
UEFA Champions League Possibility to Win the Title | The Worth a Looks
Paris Saint-Germain +1450
FC Barcelona +1550
Atletico Madrid +1975
Inter Milano +2300
Dortmund +3300
Paris Saint-Germain is always a low-odds Champions League contender. This season, it’s tough to back PSG because they trail Dortmund and are ahead of Newcastle and AC Milan by just 2 points in Group D.
Speaking of Dortmund, the Bundesliga squad has already stamped their ticket to the knockout stage. So backing Dortmund at 33-to-1 odds is a good play.
At +1550, Barca isn’t a bad play. But Barcelona isn’t a great play, either. Barcelona’s recent finishes in the Champions League have left much to be desired. Who knows if the maintains their decent CL play?
Atletico is a better play than Barcelona but that’s only because AM offers a better payout. Atletico didn’t have to play much in Group E. Lazio is good, but Feyenoord and Celtic aren’t on Atletico’s level. The LaLiga squad may have looked good so far because of their competition.
Inter Milano made it all the way to the 2023 Champions League Final. Man City beat Inter 1-0 in the final. So, for sure, the top team in Serie A can win the Champions League.
UEFA Champions League Possibility to Win the Title | First Level Underdogs
Napoli +4000
Newcastle +5000
AC Milan +6400
Leipzig +6400
Manchester United +6800
FC Porto +7500
Real Sociedad +7500
Napoli struggled in last year’s Champions League. This season, the Napoleons are also struggling in Serie A play. So there’s no reason to back Napoli.
Newcastle United might be worth checking out. The odds are fair considering Newcastle has become one of the Premier’s top teams. If Newcastle can overtake Paris and hold off AC Milan, they could be difficult in the knockout stage.
AC Milan hasn’t played as well during this Champions League as they did last season when they made it all the way to the Champions League Semifinals. Milan will have difficulty getting by PSG or Newcastle in Group F.
RB Leipzig has already stamped their ticket to the Round of 16. But Leipzig feels a cut below teams like Real, Bayern, and Manchester City. But if you’re looking to back a dog that offers excellent odds and is a quality club, maybe Leipzig is your team.
United has a worse shot of winning the Champions League than Real Sociedad or Porto. So at the odds, the Red Devils are a play against.
Sociedad and Inter Milano are both at 11 points in Group D. For sure, Sociedad is worth a look to win the Champions League. The 75-to-1 odds are fair.
Porto has 9 points in Group H. Unless Porto blows it and doesn’t hold off Shakhtar Donetsk, the Portuguese Liga squad should march to the knockout stage.
UEFA Champions League Possibility to Win the Title | Second Level Super Dogs
Lazio +14000
PSV Eindhoven +18000
Galatasaray Istanbul +24000
FC Shakhtar Donetsk +50000
SC Braga +60000
FC Copenhagen +85000
Only PSV Eindhoven and Lazio have moonshot chances of winning the Champions League. Lazio’s chances are slightly better than PSV’s because Lazio plays in Serie A, which means the +14000 choice is battle-tested.
PSV Eindhoven is the best team in the Dutch Eredivisie. The Eredivisie isn’t close to being as good or as deep as Serie A. PSV, though, offers ridiculous odds. So if you think the unthinkable can happen, pull the trigger.

Which Premier League squad offers the fairest odds? Liverpool or Manchester City?
After four EPL matches, Liverpool has a win, a couple of draws, and a loss. The loss happened versus Man United. The win was a 9-goal outburst against Bournemouth.
The Citizens have won 3 with a draw. But although on the surface Man City looks like they’re playing well, they aren’t playing up to Pep’s standards.
The Sky Blues head coach said right now Man City is soft. The Citizens gave up 3 goals to Newcastle in the draw and allowed Crystal Palace to score 2. There’s no way City can play like that versus Dortmund and even Sevilla, both of whom they face in the first round, and expect to move to the CL knockout stage.
Liverpool faces Ajax, Napoli, and the Rangers. Napoli is the Serie A leader. So Pool doesn’t have an easy road to the Round of 16.
Based on the draw and their low odds, neither Man City nor the Reds offer fair odds to win the Champions League.
Which team among Paris Saint-Germain, Real Madrid, and Bayern Munich deserves the longest look to win the Champions League?
Neither PSG nor Bayern have an easy road to the knockout stage. Paris Saint-Germain must play strong Protueguese Liga squad Benfica and Juventus.
Juve manager Massimiliano Allegri required a single transfer window to turn Juventus back into a Serie A power. Allegri routinely took Juventus to Champions League semifinals and finals in his last stint as head coach.
Bayern landed in the group of death. Group C not only has Bayern, but Barcelona and Inter Milan also must escape the group. Bayern is the top team in G-C, but their odds make them an underlay to win the Champions League.
Real, the defending titlists, should have an easy road to the knockout stage. El Blanco takes on underwhelming RB Leipzig, Shakhtar Donetsk, and Celtic. Real also offers terrific odds to win the CL. El Blanco is the top overall play.
Which team at +1325 through +3900 odds has the best chance of winning the Champions League?
The Tottenham Hotspur should have no trouble making it to the knockout stage. Tottenham faces Frankfurt, Sporting Lisbon, and Marseille.
The Hotspur should also remain a top contender for the Premier League title all season. Their odds makes Tottenham the best underdog of the bunch.
Also give Juventus a shot. Allegri’s squad will lock down on defense and the offense has so far played well this Serie A season. If you’re looking to back one of the two best overlays, go with Juventus or Tottenham.

Which teams are the favorites to win the 2022-2023 Champions League?
Despite not playing well right now, Manchester City isn’t just the chalk to win the CL, they’re an underlay favorite.
City is at +175 to take home the Champions League’s top prize. Part of the hub-hub is the fact the Sky Blues started the season the overall chalk. But the real reason soccer handicappers love Manchester City is because Erling Haaland kicks in goals for Pep Guardiola’s team.
Haaland has 25 goals and 3 assists in 18 starts and one sub. The goal pace is ridiculous.
The other two teams offering less than +900 odds are Bayern Munich and Paris Saint-Germain. The problem with backing either is one is going to knock out the other during the Round of 16. The fact Bayern and PSG both can’t make it to the quarterfinals could be another reason so much money has landed on Man City.
Which underdogs are getting the most buzz to take the title?
At +900, Liverpool is more of a favorite than an underdog. The Reds haven’t had a great season. So, their chances of taking the Champions League appear much worse than their odds.
But Napoli and Real Madrid are solid. Let’s first discuss the defending champs.
Carlo Ancelotti’s squad is the best team to ever play in the Champions League. El Blanco won the title last season. This season, Real doesn’t appear as good of a team. Ah, but Ancelotti’s fellas have made it to the knockout stage, which is why the buzz has built.
There’s also buzz surrounding Napoli. The Serie A standings leader continues to play lights out soccer. Napoli would offer lower odds if their name was Barcelona, Real Madrid, Manchester City, or Paris Saint-Germain.
What favorite deserves a look to win it all? What underdog is the best play to take the Champions League title?
The top favorite pick must be Bayern. Munich faces a tall task getting by Paris Saint-Germain. But Bayern’s secret weapon is about to step back onto the pitch.
Mane started running on Jan. 26. A healthy Sadio puts Bayern on the level of Manchester City and puts Munich past PSG. By the time the first leg takes place, Sadio Mane should be one-hundred percent and ready to go.
The top underdog play is Napoli. The odds are overlayed on Serie A’s best team. There was a stretch before the World Cup where Napoli won 13 straight. So we should give the Serie A team their due.
