NFL Week 18 Against the Spread Betting Picks, Odds, and Predictions

Written by on January 3, 2023

It’s the final weekend of the NFL regular season and we still have a few things that need to be decided before we know the playoff matchups. It’s all to play for, with the teams who are out of the playoff picture still having a chance to play the role of spoiler for those who could still potentially get in. Even after this weekend’s games are done and dusted, we still might now fully know what will happen, as there is still the business of the Bills/Bengals game, which was suspended on Monday night, to take care of. We can’t predict how that will play out, but we can still make our ATS picks for Week 18, so let’s jump into those NFL Betting selections.

Week 18 ATS Betting Predictions | 2023 NFL Odds

Tampa Bay Buccaneers (+3) at Atlanta Falcons

This is a bit of a tricky bet when you consider that the Buccaneers have already won the division and punched their ticket into the playoffs. That suggests that they don’t really need to come out and play at a high level in this one but try telling that to Tom Brady. He will be well aware of how difficult it is to turn it back on after essentially taking a week off. Every team wants to go into the postseason on the heels of a win, and the Bucs are no exception. I am a little concerned that Tampa has now failed to cover the spread in 5 straight road games, but I think they might just break that trend this weekend as they look to go into the playoffs on a winning note.

Cleveland Browns at Pittsburgh Steelers (-3)

We mentioned earlier the potential for teams out of the playoffs to play the role of spoiler. The Cleveland Browns have an opportunity to do that against one of their biggest rivals this weekend, but can they rise to that occasion? It’s certainly not going to be an easy task against a Steelers team that has now won 5 of their last 6 and who are beginning to get the best out of their rookie QB, Kenny Pickett. The Steelers need a bit of help to nab the final playoff spot in the AFC, but they can get things rolling by winning this one. They have won 18 of their last 19 at home versus Cleveland and are 5-1 ATS in their last 6 overall.

LA Chargers (-3 ½) at Denver Broncos

The LA Chargers are at 10-6 on the season and have already clinched their playoff spot. It is not really job done, though, as they could slip out of the #5 seed if they lose, and the Ravens win this weekend. Making that drop would mean a less than desirable road trip in the opening round of the playoffs, so they will want to make sure they secure that #5 seed. You would certainly like their chances against a Denver Broncos team that has gone 4-12 this year and look like a team just waiting for the season to end. It’s never easy to go to Mile High and get a result, but the Chargers, who are 6-2-1 ATS in their last 9 games, are more than equipped to go in there to win and cover.
