The 2021 March Madness tournament will see 68 teams make up the field. After Selection Sunday on March 14, action continues through to the Final Four in Indianapolis on April 3 and 5.

The NCAA announced the relocation of the 13 preliminary sites for the 2021 NCAA Tournament in November 2020. The DI Men’s Basketball Committee is in preliminary talks with the State of Indiana and city of Indianapolis to potentially host the entire tournament. Indianapolis was already scheduled to host the men’s basketball Final Four in 2021.


Selection Sunday — 6 p.m. ET (First day of Daylight Savings, so its on 1 hour ealyer then you might expect.) March 14 on CBS
First Four — 4 p.m. start on Thursday, March 18

First round — 12 p.m. start on Friday, March 19, and Saturday, March 20
Second round — 12 p.m. start on Sunday, March 21, and Monday, March 22
Sweet 16 — 2 p.m. start on Saturday, March 27, and 1 p.m. start on Sunday, March 28
Elite Eight — 7 p.m. start on Monday, March 29, and 6 p.m. start on Tuesday, March 30
Final Four — 5 p.m. start on Saturday, April 3
NCAA championship game — 9 p.m. Monday, April 5

Sweet 16: Gonzaga, Michigan, UCLA and USC join Day 1 winners Oregon State, Arkansas, Baylor and Houston dancing on to the Elite 8 Round on Monday and Tuesday.
Second Round: The Road to the Final Four continues for Oregon, Gonzaga, UCLA, Creighton, Michigan, Florida St. , Alabama, USC, Loyola Chi (#6 Fairtail Run, second straight tournament), Baylor, Syracuse, Houston, Arkansas, Oral Roberts University / AKA ORU (#15 Our only true Bracket Buster in the second round), Villanova and Oregon St. dance into the 2021 Sweet 16. The Sweet 16 will tip off Mid-Day on Saturday 27th with the 2 East / Midwest Rregion semi-finals then Sunday the 28th will finish the round off with 4 more Rregional semi-finals from the other half of the bracket. First Round Winners Colorado, Florida St. , Kansas, LSU, Michigan, Creighton, Alabama, USC, Iowa, Maryland, Ohio (#13 Bracket Buster), Oklahoma, Gonzaga, Abilene Christian aka ACU (#14 Bracket Buster), Oregon also advances with their opponent failing covid-19 protocol.
