Fans of motor sports have a busy weekend ahead of them, as there are a lot of events to watch and wager on coming our way. We are going to do our best to cover all the action, starting with the latest round of races in WorldSBK superbike racing. If you are a fan of MotoGP, you will almost certainly get a kick out of Superbike, which uses different bikes than what you see in the other organization. The setup is a little different, too, in that the riders all run 3 races per event, so there are multiple opportunities to pick up points in the overall race for the World Championship. This weekend sees the 3rd Round of action, with the riders in the Netherlands for the Dutch Round. Let’s take a look at SuperBike betting analysis and some of the potential favorites.

Alvaro Bautista
If you do follow MotoGP, Bautista might well be a name that you are familiar with, as he raced there for 9 seasons, with a 5th place overall finish his best showing. He has had much more success at this level, though, winning the World Championship last year. All signs seem to point to him being the one to beat again this year after a ridiculously good start to the season. He won all 3 races in Round 1 in Australia, picking up 2 more wins in Round 2. He has a clear lead at the top of the standings and looks good again this weekend, as he had 3 podium finishes, including a win, in the Netherlands last season.

Toprak Razgatlioglu
Razgatlioglu had his breakout season in Superbike in 2021, winning the World Championship that year. He followed that up with a 2nd place finish behind Bautista last season and is once again in the hunt in the early going. He has been on the podium in all 5 of the races that he has completed this season, with his lone win coming in Indonesia last time out. It’s a solid start, but given how Bautista has started the season, Toprak could use a win or two this weekend. He was on the podium twice in the Dutch Round last season.

Andrea Locatelli
This is another racer who made the move from MotoGP to Superbike a few years back. He never did make it to the top level of MotoGP, leaving while he was still racing in Moto2. It has proven to be a good move for Locatelli, as he finished 4th and 5th, respectively in his first 2 seasons racing at this level. While he has certainly been consistent, he has yet to win a Superbike race, so he has to be seen as a longshot this weekend. A top 5 finish would seem to be a much better betting option for Locatelli.

Axel Bassani
This is the 3rd full season in Superbike for Bassani, and we have seen him steadily improve with each passing season. He finished 9th overall in his first full year, followed by a 7th place finish in 2022. He is off to another good start this season, sitting in 4th after the opening 2 rounds of the 2023 season. He has also failed to win at this level and does not have a podium finish this season, so top 5 might be the best to hop for in the Netherlands.
