WRC Betting for the Rally Sweden 2024 and Top Drivers to Win

It’s a great time to be a fan of motor sports, as we are seeing all the major organizations getting back to business. MyBookie Sportsbook | 2024 Betting Rally | WRC Rally Sweden

The WRC will be in action this weekend for the second race of their season, with this rally taking place in Sweden over the weekend. Over the last few years Sebastien Ogier and Kalle Rovanpera have been dominant in the sports, but with both of them planning to race on a part-time basis, both with the same team, this season, the door might well be open for another driver to surge to the top of the driver standings. Rovanpera will be behind the wheel this weekend and is in among the favorites to win in Sweden. Let’s take a closer look at him, as well as the other drivers in with a shot at winning this weekend your Rally bets.

Kalle Rovanpera

With Ogier now in his 40’s, it’s not that surprising to see him take a step back, but it is certainly strange to see Rovanpera do the same thing. He is just 23 years of age and would be looking for a 3rd straight championship this season, but there is no way he can win it all when only taking part in a portion of the season. That said, when he does choose to race, he has to be considered a threat to win. He sat out the Monte Carlo Rally to open the season, but he will be behind the wheel in Sweden, where he has won in the past. He took this rally in 2022 on his way to his first WRC Championship and has to be seen as the favorite here.

Elfyn Evans

With a pair of former champions going part-time this season, the door is open for the other drivers on the WRC circuit. Evans is one of the drivers who might well be able to take advantage of that little quirk. Over the last 5 years, Evans has been no worse than 4th overall in the championship standings, including a trio of 2nd place finishes. He finished 2nd overall in the 2023 season, winning 3 races, and he will be looking for his first victory of the new season in Sweden after finishing 3rd in Monte Carlo. Evans won this rally in 2020.

Thierry Neuville

This is another driver who has been consistently good over the years, finishing 2nd overall 5 times, as well as finishing 3rd overall in the last 3 seasons. Neuville is another one who will like his chances of winning his first WRC Championship with 2 of the top drivers going the part-time route, he made his intentions known right from the off, winning the opening race of the season in Monte Carlo. If he can win again this weekend, he will be setting a bar that the others are going to need to try and meet.

Ott Tanak

Unlike two of the other drivers, we have discussed here, Tanak has actually won a championship. That one came back in 2019, and while he has been good since then, he has only really come close one other time since that victory. His 4th place overall finish last season was disappointing, and he is off to a similar start, finishing 4th in the Monte Carlo Rally. That said, he won this rally in 2023, so he has to be seen as a threat this weekend.
