Betting Rally Chile to Win: Favorites & Expert Picks for this 2024 Season

This has been a strange kind of season in the WRC, as we have had 2 of the best drivers in the business racing on a part-time basis.

That has left the race for the championship wide open, and with just 3 races remaining in the season, the title is still very much up for grabs, although it certainly does look as though it is Thierry Neuville’s race to lose at this point.

Today’s Rally Chile Top 4 Favorites
1. Thierry Neuville192 points
2. Ott Tänak158 points
3. Sébastien Ogier154 points
4. Elfyn Evans140 points

My Analysis of the Rally Chile

The first of the final 3 races goes this weekend in Chile, and we will have both of the part-time drivers taking part, which should make things all the more interesting.

Can Neuville take another step toward a world championship, or is he going to need to continue to sweat it out a little longer?

Let’s take a look at some of the drivers in with a shot at winning in Chile this weekend.

Thierry Neuville +700

With just 3 races to come, Neuville finds himself atop the driver standings with 192 points, which is 34 more points than his closes’ challenger.

He opened up that lead with a win in Greece in the previous race, which was his second win of the season.

Neuville cannot afford to rest on his laurels, though, as he still needs to rack up some more points before he can claim his first world championship win.

To be fair, Neuville might well be happy with a similar run to what we saw from him last year in Chile, when he finished 2nd.

He looks like a good bet to do that.

Ott Tänak +300

Tanak is living proof that winning a championship is no guarantee of future success, as he has failed to win it again in the 4 years since.

He is, though, very much in the conversation this year, but you have to believe that he needs a win or two in the final few races to run down Neuville.

Tänak has been on the podium in 2 of the last 3 races, failing to finish in the other, so he certainly has the ability to continue to rack up points.

Furthermore, he won this race last season and if he can repeat that, the final 2 races of the year are going to be very interesting indeed.

Sébastien Ogier +300

Despite being one of the most successful drivers in WRC history, Ogier has been happy to race on a part-time basis over the past couple of seasons.

What is truly astonishing is that he could still potentially win it all this season, as he sits just 38 points back of the leader.

In fact, had he decided to run in every race this season, he would probably be comfortably on top of the driver standings.

He has finished 1st or 2nd in 6 of the 7 races he has taken part in this season, so he always has to be considered a threat to win.

Elfyn Evans +900

Sitting 52 points out of first place with just 3 races remaining, I think it’s fair to suggest that Evans is going to need to settle for one of the lesser positions.

Sure, he could win out and make things fascinating, but when you consider that he has not won a race all season long, that looks unlikely to happen.

He landed on the podium in Chile last season, so he might be worth taking as a top 3 finisher.
