Big 12

The Kansas Jayhawks are getting hot at the right time, winning 5 in a row to take a half game lead at the top of the Big 12. Texas are right there with them, but I think momentum carries Kansas to the title.

SEC

This one is essentially down to 2 teams with a shot at winning it, with Alabama currently in the driver’s seat. The Crimson Tide have a 1-game lead over Texas A&M, but the Aggies are hot right now. This one is going down to the wire.

Big Ten

There could still be some drama in the final couple of week of the season, but I think that the Purdue Boilermakers have the conference locked up, as they have a game and a half lead now, which should sustain to the end.

Mountain West

With 4 wins in a row, the San Diego State Aztecs have a single game lead at the top of the standings. Boise State are 2nd, with Nevada now 2 back and likely out of it. The top 2 will meet in a couple of weeks, but the Aztecs may have locked it up by then.

Big East

This might be the toughest conference to predict, as we have 4 teams separated by a single game. Marquette are the team on top right now, but we have Xavier, Providence, and Creighton all in the hunt. This one is anyone’s guess.

ACC

The Pitt Panthers have slid out of the top spot, with Virginia now sitting with a half game lead over the Miami Hurricanes. Pitt and Miami meet in the final game of the season, which may open the door for the Cavaliers.

PAC-12

The UCLA Bruins remain at the top of the standings with a 1 ½ game lead over the chasing pack. The Arizona Wildcats looks like the only team capable of running them down, but I’m not sure I see that happening.

WCC

Saint Mary’s and Gonzaga have opened up a lead at the top, which means those two will battle it out for the regular season conference crown. They still have one more meeting to come, which will likely be the decider.

CUSA

For the longest time, it looked as though Florida Atlantic had this thing wrapped up, but North Texas has closed the gap to a half game after winning 8 in a row. Momentum might just take them all the way.

American

This one is pretty much over, with the #1 ranked Houston Cougars now leading by 2 ½ games. They have been brilliant all season, so they are not tossing that lead away anytime soon.
