Set your alarm clock for an early rise on Friday, as we have a big MMA event coming our way. ONE is outing in another big card on Friday morning, with their latest event taking place in Qatar, hence the rather odd start time.
It’s a bit of a different main card, as there are a lot of different fighting styles set to go on display. We are going to focus on the MMA portion of the proceedings, though, as there are 4 fights to break down, 3 of which are of the title fight variety. There is a lot of ground to cover here, so let’s dive right in, starting with the fight sitting just below the title fights on the main card with the betting odds for ONE Championship with their ONE 166: Qatar combat sport event.
Arjan Bhullar Vs Amir Aliakbari
We start this preview off with a Heavyweight bout that looks pretty unlikely to go the full distance, as both men involved have some serious stopping power. Bhullar is looking to bounce back from the loss he took in his last fight, while also trying to improve on his 11-2 record. Aliakbari has broken out of a mini slump rather nicely and comes into this bout on a run that has seen him win 3 in a row, taking his overall record to 13-3 in the process. This should be an absolute brawl, but I think it will be Aliakbari who comes away with the KO win on Friday morning.

Jarred Brooks Vs Joshua Pacio
The first of the 3 title fights us up next, with this one for the Flyweight Championship. This is a rematch, with Brooks scoring the unanimous decision win over Pacio in the last meeting at ONE164. Brooks comes into this one on a 7-fight win streak, while also sitting with a perfect 4-0 record under the ONE banner. Pacio is an impressive 21-4 in his career, and the good news is that he bounced right back with a win after losing to Brookes in their last meeting. I think we see this one go all the way again, with Brooks getting the nod.

Kai Thang Vs Thanh Le
Next up is a battle for the ONE Lightweight Championship, and once again, we have another rematch on our hands. Thang won the belt with a win over Le in his last bout, which means that his win streak now sits at 11, which includes a perfect 7-0 record under the ONE banner. Le is 14-3 overall and back to winning wats after bouncing back from the loss to Thang to win his next bout up. I am expecting another close fight here, but I am taking Thang to retain the belt with a decision win.

Anatoly Malykhin Vs Reinier De Ridder
We close the night out with another title fight and yet another rematch. Malykhin comes into this massive bout as the current Light Heavyweight champion, as he looks to extend his perfect record to 14-0. We can only hope that this one lasts longer than the previous meeting, with de Ridder going down in Round 1 in that one. That was the lone career loss for De Ridder, so it is going to be interesting to see how he bounces back on Friday morning. While this one might last longer, I still think we will see the same result as last time.

ONE On TNT 1: Moraes Vs Johnson Expert Analysis
Previous Betting News
It’s another busy week of MMA action on tap, including an event that you can catch on cable television. That would be the ONE on TNT 1 event, which is set to go on Wednesday night at 10 PM EST. There are 5 fights on the main card here, including a Muay Thai bout. There was also supposed to be a kickboxing bout as part of the main card, but one of the fighters decided to pull out late. The event itself will be coming live from Singapore, and with so many fights to cover here, we should just jump right in and get the previews and predictions going so you can bet against their ONE odds.
ONE On TNT 1: Moraes Vs Johnson | MMA Betting
Oumar Kane Vs Mehdi Barghi
It will be the big men stepping into the octagon first, as we have a heavyweight battle getting things going on the main card. Kane is in the very early stages of his pro career and comes in with a perfect 2-0 record. Both wins came in the early rounds. Barghi has been a good deal more inconsistent in the early part of his pro career, putting together a 4-3 record. This is one that has a KO win for Kane written all over it.
Tyler McGuire Vs Raimond Magomedaliev
This Middleweight bout comes a little sooner than initially expected after the cancellation of the kickboxing bout that was originally on the main card. McGuire is an impressive 12-1, with the lone loss in his career come under the ONE banner, where he is currently 2-1. Magomedaliev is 7-1 overall and has had the same start to life in the ONE Championship as McGuire. This looks to be a very good fight, but I think Magomedaliev get the job done via KO.
Rodtang Jitmuangnon Vs Danial Williams
We get a little break in the MMA action with this bout, as it is a pair of Muay Thai fighters stepping into the octagon for this one. Jitmuangnon flips between this fighting style and kickboxing and has won 4 of his last 5 Muay Thai bouts, mostly by decision. This will be the first professional Muay Thai fight for Williams, which you have to believe puts him at a serious disadvantage. I have to go with Jitmuangnon to come away with the win.
Eddie Alvarez Vs Iuri Lapicus
The co-main event of the night is a Middleweight bout that features a fighter sure to be familiar to a lot of MMA fans. Eddie Alvarez spent a lot of time in the UFC and faced some of the best that the division has to offer. He is just 2-2-1 in his last 5 fights, though, and will be looking to get back on track here. Lapicus is a very solid 14-1 in his career, but he is coming off a devastating opening round loss last time out. I think he may be in trouble again in this one.
Adrano Moraes Vs Demetrious Johnson
The final fight of the night is a Bantamweight title bout that was originally supposed to happen last April, but which was postponed due to COVID. Moraes is the champion, his third reign in this division, coming into this bout with an 18-3 career mark. Demetrious Johnson is ranked as the #19 Middleweight fighter in the world and has an impressive 30-3-1 record, including wins in each of his last 3 fights. I think Johnson get the win and the belt in the early rounds.
2021 ONE On TNT 2: Lee Vs Nastyukhin Expert Analysis
Previous Betting News
When it comes to fight nights, be it UFC or major boxing events, we are used to seeing them all happen on the weekend. If you look at other organizations, though, you will find that there are a lot of great events taking place in the middle of the week, too. We have one coming on Wednesday, with ONE hitting the airwaves on TNT for a main card that includes 4 MMA fights and a Muay Thai bout. The main event of the night is a title fight, so this is certainly worth tuning into. One thing of note is that the event is on tape delay on TNT starting at 10 PM EST, so be sure to get your bets in ahead of time. Now, let’s break down the main card for ONE On TNT 2: Lee Vs Nastyukhin so you can get all set to make your bets against their ONE Championship lines.
ONE On TNT 2: Lee Vs Nastyukhin | MMA Betting
Janet Todd Vs Anne Line Hogstad
Let’s get this preview rolling by talking about the Muay Thai bout before we delve into the meat of the main card. This fight is actually listed as the co-main event and features Todd, who is on a 5-fight winning streak, although there were a few kickboxing wins in among that group. She goes against Hogstad, who has just 2 pro bouts, going 1-1, although getting that lone win in Muay Thai, with the loss at a kickboxing event. Todd has to get the nod here.
Mitchell Chamale Vs Shuya Kamikubo
This Featherweight bout has all the makings of being a good one and looks like a fight that seems destined to go the distance. Chamale comes into this bout on the heels of 3 straight wins, all of which came inside the opening 2 rounds. Kamikubo is 11-1-1, which is a strong record, be he is also unbeaten in 4 fights under the ONE banner. This will be the first fight for Chamale with ONE, so I believe he could be in trouble here.
Kyu Sung Kim Vs Shuo Wang
Next up is a bantamweight bout that features a pair of fighters who are highly ranked in their respective regions. Kim is the #2 ranked Bantamweight in China, and while he is 10-4 overall, he is just 1-2 during his time in ONE. Wang is 11-4 and coming into this one on a 4-fight winning streak, although this is a bit of a step up in class. I think we are looking at a fight that goes the distance, with Wang getting the decision.
Shinechagtga Zoltseteg Vs Yoshiki Nakahara
It’s the Lightweights up next, with both of these fighters coming into this bout on a very decent run of form. Zoltseteg is 6-2 in the early going in his pro career and has strung together 4 straight wins ahead of this fight. 3 of those 4 wins came within the opening 2 rounds. Nakahara boasts a 14-5 career mark, but he also has just 1 loss in his last 10 fights. I don’t believe this one goes the distance, as I like Nakahara to win by KO.
Christian Lee Vs Timofey Nastyukhin
We close the night out with a Welterweight Title fight that could be a fun one to watch. Lee comes in as the defending champion and has a ton of experience despite being just 22 years old. Lee is 14-3 and comes into this fight having won 5 in a row. Nastyukhin is 14-4 and 9 years older than the champ, yet he comes into this one as the underdog. He has won 4 of his last 5 fights, but I have a feeling he might end this one on the mat via KO.
ONE On TNT III: Lineker Vs Worthen Expert Analysis
Previous Betting News
Another big week of MMA action is upon us and we have a lot of ground to cover. We will be doing our best to deliver all the previews and predictions for each and every MMA event over the next few days. We will get the ball rolling with ONE on TNT III, which is set to go on Wednesday night. One thing that you should be aware of is that when the fights are shown on TNT at 10 PM EST, they will be on tape delay, so be sure to get your bets in ASAP. There are 5 fights on this main card for ONE On TNT III: Lineker Vs Worthen. Let’s get right to it so you can bet against their One Championship betting odds.
ONE On TNT III: Lineker Vs Worthen | MMA Betting
Ryuto Sawada Vs Li Tao Miao
The evening begins with a Flyweight bout that features a pair of fighters heading in opposite directions at the moment. Sawada is in a good run of form, winning back-to-back fights and 4 of his last 5. He has seen 4 of his last 6 end in the opening round. After starting his pro career with a 5-1 record, Miao has now lost 2 fights in a row and needs a win in the worst way on Wednesday night. I don’t see him getting it, though, as I like Sawada to win by submission.
Marat Gafurov Vs Rae Yoon Ok
Next up is what looks to be a very good Welterweight matchup that could well be going the distance. Gafurov comes into this bout with an 18-3 career mark, but he has been up and down of late, going 3-2 in his last 5 fights. Ok is 13-3 and on a nice run of form, winning 4 of his last 5 fights. He is a fighter that goes the distance more often than not, with 5 of his last 6 going that route. A close one here, but I have Gafurov by decision.
Nieky Holzken Vs Wayne Parr
We get a little break from MMA for a moment, as the next fight up on the card is a Muay Thai bout. This is a definite change of pace for Holzken, who has been active on the kickboxing circuit with ONE. He has been a little up and down but is coming off a win last time out. Parr has also been fighting in a bunch of different styles, but he certainly has more Muay Thai experience than his opponent, which should be enough to get him the win here.
Yuya Wakamatsu Vs Reece McLaren
Listed as the co-main event of the night, this Bantamweight bout promised to be an entertaining one for fight fans. Wakamatsu, who is 13-4 overall, experienced a little hiccup after suffering 3 losses in 4 fights, but he has rebounded with 3 wins in a row. McLaren has been a streaky fighter on his way to a 14-7 record, but he is on a positive run now with back-to-back wins. I have this one going the distance, with Wakamatsu getting the decision.
John Lineker Vs Troy Worthen
The final fight of the night is one that sees and experienced pro going against a fighter looking to continue with a positive start. Lineker is 33-9 in his pro career and has won 2 in a row, as well as 4 of his last 5 fights. Worthen will be looking to bounce back after losing the first fight of his career after a 7-0 start. Both of these fighters can throw down, so I don’t see it going the distance. I am on Lineker for the KO win.
2021 ONE Championship: Dangal Betting Predictions
Previous Betting News
If you don’t mind getting up early on Saturday morning, then you can have another MMA event to look forward to in what looks like a busy weekend of action. The ONE Championship returns to Singapore with what is a smaller card than we are used to. Including the prelims, there are just 5 fights on tap, one of which is a Muay Thai bout. Let’s also keep in mind, though, that the headline event in this one is a title fight, so there is very good reason to tune in and consider wagering on the card. Let’s break down all 5 fights and make some predictions as we go so you can place your bets against their One Championship odds.
ONE Championship: Dangal | MMA Betting Analysis
Gary Mangat Vs Roshan Mainam
This is the first of two prelim fights on the card, and it features a pair of highly ranked fighters from the Asia South region. Mangat is the top ranked fighter in the region and comes in with a 15-3 record, although he is coming off a loss last time out. Mainam is 6-2 in his pro career and is on a solid 3-fight win streak ahead of this one. I can see this one going the distance, but I am giving the slight edge to Mangat in what should be a good fight.
Ayaka Miura Vs Rayane Bastos
The final prelim of this event is a Bantamweight bout between a pair of women who have different experience levels as a pro. Miura is 10-3 as a pro and saw a good run of form come to an end in her last bout, which saw her put down in the 3rd round. Bastos is 4-0-1 and has looked good in the opening few fights of her pro career. I think she is in a little over her head here, so I am taking Miura to win by submission.
Bi Nguyen Vs Ritu Phogat
It’s the women up again in what is the opening fight of the main card. It has been a rough start to life in the ONE Championship for Nguyen, as she is just 2-4 in her 6 fights under that banner, although one of her wins came in a Muay Thai bout. Phogat, on the other hand, is a perfect 4-0 and has won 3 of those 4 fights inside 2 rounds. I like Phogat to remain unbeaten, although she may not get the job done as quickly this time around.
Tawanchai PK Saenchai Vs Sean Clancy
As we mentioned at the top of this piece, there is a Muay Thai bout on this card, which is what we are looking at here. Saenchai is just 22 years of age, which makes him 12 years younger than his opponent, and this is his first pro fight. Clancy has had just 2 pro fights and has lost both of them, although one was a kickboxing bout. Let’s take Saenchai to get the win in his pro debut.
Brandon Vera Vs Arjan Bhullar
The evening comes to a close with a Heavyweight title bout that will see Brandon Vera look to defend his belt. This will be the third defense of the title for Vera, which comes in with a 16-8 career mark. Vera is coming on off a loss in a Catchweight bout his last time out. Bhullar has just 1 loss in his career, but he bounced back from that one quite nicely, winning 3 in a row to set up a title shot. I think Bhullar might come out of this one as the new champion.
ONE Championship: Battleground Betting Analysis & Predictions
Previous Betting News
If you are prepared to get up bright and early on Friday morning, you will be able to watch another big MMA event. What we are talking about is the ONE Championship: Battleground event, which will start at 8:30 AM on Friday morning. It is a bit of a unique main card in that we have 6 fights ready to go, the headliner of which is a Muay Thai title fight. There is a lot of ground to cover with this event, let’s get right to it by previewing the main card so you can get all set to bet against their ONE Championship odds.
ONE Championship: Battleground I | MMA Betting Analysis
Victoria Lee Vs Luping Wang
We get this event rolling with a women’s strawweight bout that showcases a pair of fighters in the early stages of their pro careers. Lee has only had one pro fight to this point, but it was an impressive win via a second-round submission. Wang started her time as a pro with back-to-back losses, but she has bounced back nicely to deliver 3 straight wins, all of which went the distance. I think this bout goes the full 3 rounds, with Lee getting the win.
Rui Chen Vs Jeremy Pacatiw
Next up is a Featherweight bout between two fighters who appear to be very evenly matched and who are just 3 ranking levels apart in the Asia Southeast region. Chen is 9-2 overall, but he is going through a bit of a rough patch, with his 2 losses coming in his last 4 fights, including one in his last outing. Pacatiw is 10-4, and while he took a loss recently, he has still won 4 of his last 5 fights. I think this one goes the distance, with Chen getting the win.
Ritu Phogat Vs Heqin Lin
It’s another Strawweight bout between a pair of very good fighters that is next on the main card. Phogat saw her pro career get off to a fast start, as she came out and won each of her first 4 fights. That, though, was followed by a loss last time out that she will be looking to bounce back from. Lin, on the other hand is on fire, sitting at 14-2 while on an 11-fight win streak. It’s hard to bet against Lin here, although she may need to go the distance.
Ryuto Sawada Vs Gustavo Balart
It is the Flyweights squaring off next, with both of these fighters desperate to get back to winning ways. Sawada is coming off a loss in his last fight and has now lost 2 of his last 4 to see his career record fall to 14-6-1. Things are even worse for Balart, as he is on a 3-fight losing skid, although he did go the distance in 2 of those fights. I think he may end up going all the way again in this one, but I also think it will be another loss.
Aung La N Sang Vs Leandro Ataides
We have a couple of big men entering the octagon for a Light Heavyweight bout that serves as the co-main event of the night. Sang is making the move down from heavyweight for this fight in hopes of snapping a 2-fight losing skid. Ataides has not done a lot of fighting in recent years and is returning after a close to 18-month layoff. I think that hurts him, so I am taking Sang to get the KO win.
Sam-A Gaiyanghadao Vs Prjanchai Saenchai
The final fight of the night sees Gaiyanghadao defend his Flyweight title in a Muay Thai bout against Prjanchai Saenchai. The champ has won 4 in a row, although only 3 of those were Muay Thai bouts, while Saenchai also has 4 straight wins, with 3 of those coming in boxing bouts. I am going to need to stick with the champion in this one.
ONE Championship 130: Fists of Fury 2 Expert Analysis
Previous Betting News
As always, it’s another busy week in the world of MMA and we have you covered with all that is going on. For the purposes of this piece, though, we are going to jump ahead and take a look next weekend. The ONE Championship is following up their Fists of Fury event, which goes this weekend, with another one on Friday, March 5. The event is in Singapore and has an early 6 AM start, just in case you are thinking about going with PPV. There are 6 fights on the main card, so let’s jump right in and then you can plan up your bets against their MMA odds.
ONE Championship 130: Fists of Fury 2 | MMA Betting
Mark Abelardo Vs Emilio Urrutia
The main card begins with a Featherweight bout and a pair of fighters looking for a reversal of fortune. Abelardo has lost back-to-back fights and 2 of his last 3. He is 19-8 overall in his pro career and 4-3 when fighting with ONE. Urrutia is in even worse form, losing 3 in a row, with all of those losses coming inside the distance. I think he makes it all the way to the end this time, but I think the outcome will be the same, as I like Abelardo for the win.
Roshan Mainam Vs Aziz Calim
Next up is a Bantamweight bout between a pair of fighters who are still relatively new to the professional game. Mainam is 5-2 in his pro career and is on a modest 2-fight win streak, although he has won 4 of his last 5. Since winning his first two fights as a pro, Calim has been unable to string together consecutive wins on his way to a 5-4 record. I believe he is in for another loss here, so I am taking Mainam via submission.
Yoshiki Nakahara Vs Rusian Emilbek
It’s a Lightweight bout next, with one of the fighters moving to a different weight division and looking to maintain an unbeaten record. Rusian Emilbek is currently 12-0 in his pro career and is moving away from Featherweight for this one. He is not going to have it easy against Nakahara, who, while coming off a loss, is still an impressive 15-2 in his pro career. This looks like a solid match-up and one that will go the distance. I am on Emilbek to get the job done.
Ryogo Takahashi Vs Kai Tang
It’s a Lightweight bout again featuring a pair of fighters hovering around the top 10 in the weight class I their respective regions. Takahashi comes in with a 14-4 record after bouncing back with a KO win after taking a loss that broke an 8-fight win streak. Tang is on a roll of his own after winning 6-straight fights to take his career mark to 11-2. 4 of those 6 wins came inside the distance and I like him to keep his streak alive with a KO win.
Anatoly Malykhin Vs Alexandre Machado
The co-main event of the night is a Heavyweight bout between a pair of fighters with some serious stopping power. Malykhin is an absolute beast who is looking to take his record to 9-0 with a win in this one. This is a fighter who has made a habit of winning early in his fights. Machado comes in with a 9-3 pro mark, but those 3 losses have come in his last 5 fights. You have to like Malykhin for the KO win.
Amir Aliakbari Vs Ji Won Kang
We close the night out with another Heavyweight bout that I think might be over quite quickly. Aliakbari is 10-1 in his pro career and is on a 5-fight win streak, with 4 of those bouts failing to go beyond the first round. Kang has had 4 pro fights in his career and has finished them all in the opening round to put together a perfect record. I don’t see any way this one goes the distance, and I have Aliakbari getting the win.
