NFL Dallas Cowboys Offense In-Depth Betting Analysis

NFL Dallas Cowboys Offense In-Depth Betting Analysis

After another season of making the playoffs, only to be disappointed by the results, the Dallas Cowboys have made a change on offense. Gone is Kellen Moore, the offensive coordinator for the last four seasons, and in steps head coach Mike McCarthy to call the plays.

McCarthy was the play caller as the Packers head coach from 2006 to 2018, and his offenses were much more pass-heavy then they have been in Dallas. Nine times as the play caller in Green Bay his offense finished in the top 10.

Check out an in-depth NFL betting lines and analysis for the Dallas Cowboys’ offense.

2023 Dallas Cowboys Offense In-Depth Betting Analysis | MyBookie NFL Preview

Dallas Cowboys: 64th season in the NFL
Owner: Jerry Jones
Head Coach: Mike McCarthy

NFL MVP Award

Considering McCarthy as a play caller and CeeDee Lamb, Brandin Cooks, and Michael Gallup as your top three wide receivers, Dak Prescott should be higher on this list. If Dallas has a successful offense, which we all think will happen, he will be in the MVP conversation. At +1600 he is a great value bet.

2023 NFL MVP Award
Patrick Mahomes (+650)
Joe Burrow (+650)
Josh Allen (+750)
Justin Herbert (+900)
Jalen Hurts (+1000)
Tua Tagovailoa (+1400)
Trevor Lawrence (+1400)
Aaron Rodgers (+1400)
Dak Prescott (+1600)

Dak Prescott Stat Props

Prescott has been one of the most consistent statistical performers over his career, and he may be in line for a career year.

With an uptick in passing attempts this season, which is a McCarthy offense M-O, we should see an uptick in passing yards for Prescott. His last full season was 2021, and he threw for 4,449 yards. In 2019, his last full season before 2021, he threw for 4,902 yards.

If Prescott is healthy, he will easily hit the over in 2023.

Prescott is paying +2000 to lead the NFL in passing yards, which ranks him sixth among the favorites. He’s never won the NFL’s passing yards title, but in 2019 he finished second.

Total Passing Yards in 2023: 3,925.5
Over (-115)
Under (-115)

Most Receiving Yards in 2023

Coming in at number 10 on the favorites board to lead the NFL in receiving yards in 2023 is CeeDee Lamb. Last year, in just his third season, he made a big leap forward in production. He caught 107 passes for 1,359 yards, and that was with Prescott injured for five weeks, and the offense being more run-heavy.

Lamb doesn’t deserve to be up with Justin Jefferson, Ja’Marr Chase, and Tyreek Hill. But if you were looking for someone to grossly outperform their expectations, Lamb is an excellent candidate. He could easily get to 1,500 yards and beyond this coming regular season.

2023 Most Receiving Yards
Justin Jefferson (+650)
Ja’Marr Chase (+750)
Tyreek Hill (+900)
Cooper Kupp (+1200)
A.J. Brown (+1600)
Davante Adams (+1600)
Stefon Diggs (+1800)
Garrett Wilson (+2000)
Jaylen Waddle (+2000)
CeeDee Lamb (+2500)

Cowboys Totals Betting

Dallas was one of the best teams against the spread in 2021 and 2022, finishing 12-5 in both seasons. Looking ahead to 2023, they are primed to over-perform on the totals line.

They were 9-7-1 on the over in 2022, and for this coming season, bettors are likely to underestimate the change to McCarthy as the play caller, and to overestimate the loss of Ezekiel Elliott. This is going to be one of the top offenses in the NFL, and the over is going to consistently hit.
