The New York Jets boasted one of the NFL’s top defenses last season. NYJ’s offense struggled, but the Jets made a significant move, maybe, the most important move in the franchise’s history by trading for Aaron Rodgers.
Will AR lead the Jets to their first Super Bowl win since Joe Namath called New York home?
Check out an in-depth NFL betting lines and analysis for the New York Jets’ offense.

Jets’ Offensive Changes During the Offseason
NYJ sent their first round pick, number 13, a second round pick, number 42, and a second round pick in 2024 that reverts to a first round pick if Rodgers plays at least 65% of the snaps for one of the best quarterbacks to ever play in the NFL.
If Rodgers still has it, he upgrades a Jets offense that boasts decent weapons. Another significant move the Jets pulled off was to sign former Seattle left tackle Duane Brown.
New York Jets Quarterbacks Analysis
If Rodgers’ best days are behind him, the experiment could be a disaster. But if AR still has something left, and he doesn’t have to be at the top of his game, Rodgers will lead the Jets to more wins than they have ever had in a single season in the franchise’s history.
We can’t look past the fact that AR has won 4 NFL MVP Awards. So if he’s got anything left, he’s the best quarterback the Jets have ever sent to the field.
New York Jets Offensive Line Analysis
The interior is terrific but the bookends could be an issue. Duane Brown heads to the Meadowlands after an injury. Brown is also close to 40-years-old.
Mekhi Becton wants to play left tackle not right tackle. Becton believes moving to the right side is what caused his injury from last season. If Becton and Brown can get it together, the unit will be one of the best in the NFL.
New York Jets Wide Receivers Room Analysis
Garrett Wilson should break out this season. Last year’s top draft pick was exceptional in 2022 while throwing for bad to mediocre quarterbacks.
Wilson caught 83 passes for over 1,000 yards. Rodgers is going to love throwing to Garrett. Also, Allen Lazard followed AR to New York and Mecole Hardman is a former Kansas City burner.
New York Jets Running Backs Room Analysis
The Jets boast two running backs with starter skills. Breece Hall catches balls like he should be a tight end. Michael Carter is a bruiser who can rack up yards after the initial hit.
The Jets will use both to move the football. Rodgers will lean on both as well. The key is for Hall to get healthy enough to have the impact head coach Robert Salah expects.
NYJ Points Scored & Yards Per Game Range Prediction
The Jets averaged 318.2 total yards and 17.4 points per game last season. This season, NYJ improves big time in both categories.
Rodgers is good for at least 370 yards each contest. Unless the bookends, Brown and Becton, fall apart, AR will throw at will. Let’s go 370 to 380 per game.
When it comes to the points, Rodgers does what it takes to get the ball into the end zone. So lets say the Jets average 21 to 24 per game.
Jets Yard Per Game Range: 370 – 380
Jets Points Scored Range: 21 – 24
QB Aaron Rodgers to Win MVP: +1425
Rodgers won the NFL MVP in 2011, 2014, 2020 and 2021. He enters this season offering higher odds than he has the past five seasons.
Does that make Rodgers a play? Not alone, it doesn’t. But if we consider that Hardman, Wilson, and Lazard might be the best trio of receivers Rodgers has ever played with, then, yes, AR is worth a look.
Rodgers is a winner. So he will ensure the Jets make the playoffs. At +1425, Aaron Rodgers is a great play to win the NFL MVP.
