With the NFL season starting in just a few days, it’s time to take a look at NFL awards and future bets. When looking at the odds to win the NFL Offensive Rookie of the Year Award, not one player has set himself apart from the others. Offensive skill players weren’t a high priority in this season’s draft, as most of the top picks were used on defensive players or offensive linemen. Let’s take a look at some of the NFL Offensive Rookie of the Year Betting favorites to win this year’s award.
Who Are the Favorites to Win the NFL Offensive Rookie of the Year Award?
Breece Hall +750
The New York Jets running back has yet to be named the starter, but the oddsmakers think that he’ll see a majority of the carries in the Jets offense. Hall was a standout at Iowa State University. His speed and athleticism remind many of Jonathan Taylor. Hall is not only a stellar runner, but he is also very good at catching the ball out of the backfield. Even though the Jet’s offensive line is banged up, the oddsmakers think Hall will be the focal point of the offense and will have a very strong season.
Chris Olave +750
Olave had a great career at Ohio State. When the Saints drafted him as a complement to Michael Thomas, many thought that he would be the perfect fit in their offense. The Saints traded up to select Olave. He runs precise routes and has great hands. With Thomas’ history of injuries and Thomas already banged up this season, Olave could find himself as the Saints top option. We’ll see how the season unfolds.
Drake London +900
The former USC Trojan was the most talented receiver in this year’s draft. London was drafted by a rebuilding Atlanta Falcons team. Atlanta has a new quarterback in Marcus Mariota, and their receiving corps is basically all new. Between London and second-year tight end Kyle Pitts, these two should be the focal points of the Falcon’s offense.
Garrett Wilson +1000
Another Ohio State product, Wilson, was drafted by the Jets to give quarterback Zach Wilson a big target. We’re still now sure how good Zach Wilson will be, so that could affect Garrett Wilson’s production. If these two can get on the same page this season, it could be a big season for the Wilsons.
Kenny Pickett +1000
Although Mike Tomlin has yet to announce a starting quarterback, many think that Pickett will be the starter in Pittsburgh sooner rather than later. Pickett will have a plethora of weapons at his disposal. With Diontae Johnson, Chase Claypool, George Pickens, Pat Freiermuth, and Najee Harris, he has a great chance of making some big plays.
Skyy Moore +1000
The rookie receiver won’t replace Tyreek Hill, but he’ll be a big factor in the Kansas City offense. Andy Reid has had him line up all over the field, and many see him being used much like Deebo Samuel was last season. We could see Moore shining in the Chiefs offense. He could quickly become one of Patrick Mahomes’ favorite options.
