Oddsmakers expect the Atlanta Falcons to better this season than they were last. In 2021, those that set win loss lines pegged Atlanta’s total victories at 4. This season, the Falcons are at 4 ½ games. It doesn’t matter if Atlanta is a good team or not. We can bet on the Falcons to cover or against them to not cover. That’s the beauty of NFL Betting. Check out the eight games on Atlanta’s schedule that should be on your radar.
Atlanta Falcons Must Bet Games During the Regular Season | NFL Betting Picks
2022-23 NFL Regular Season
- When: Sep. 8, 2022 – Jan. 8, 2023
Atlanta vs New Orleans
- Week 1 – Sunday, Sep. 11
There’s a chance the Falcons get the benefit of the doubt in this game. Some pro football experts are down on the New Orleans Saints.
But the Saints dominate the Falcons. They especially dominate them in Georgia. New Orleans could offer overlay odds to cover.
Atlanta at Los Angeles Rams
- Week 2 – Sunday, Sep. 18
The Rams are almost assured of providing an underlay number. Atlanta quarterback Marcus Mariota, though, has wheels.
So Marcus could lessen the impact of the Rams’ pass rush. Atlanta should be a decent ATS play.
Atlanta at Cincinnati
- Week 7 – Sunday, Oct. 23
The guess here is that Cincinnati blows out the Falcons. Atlanta’s defense has no chance keeping Joe Burrow, Joe Mixon, and Ja’Marr Chase from racking up a ton of yards and scoring touchdowns in every quarter.
Atlanta vs Carolina
- Week 8 – Sunday, Oct. 30
By NFL Week 8, we will know if Baker Mayfield is the fix at Carolina. If he is, the Panthers might be the chalk, which makes Atlanta even more attractive.
Atlanta at home against Carolina is almost always a good play. The Falcons should be better than their win-loss total implies. ATL figures to be a decent pick in week 8.
Atlanta vs Chicago
- Week 11 – Sunday, Nov. 20
Chicago will be an okay team. But the Bears could have some trouble versus Atlanta’s offense. This is especially true if Mariota shines the way we know he can. Here’s another game that should fall into Atlanta’s win and cover column.
Atlanta vs Pittsburgh
- Week 13 – Sunday, Dec. 4
Pittsburgh will be much better than many believe. If Atlanta wins two straight, if the Falcons beat the Panthers and the Bears, the ATL will offer underlay odds. Jump on the Steelers for sure if that’s the case.
Atlanta at New Orleans
- Week 15 – Sunday, Dec. 15
The Saints always seem to beat the Falcons in Georgia. The Falcons don’t always beat the Saints in Louisiana. But the ATL does win a game in the Superdome once in a while.
If by NFL Week 15 the Saints are in a good position to make the playoffs, if New Orleans doesn’t have to win this, backing Atlanta on the moneyline might be the way to go.
Atlanta vs Tampa Bay
- Week 18 – Sunday, Jan. 8
The Falcons have an early game where they travel to Tampa Bay. It’s difficult to envision what happens in that game. It’s not as difficult to envision what will happen on Jan. 8.
If Tampa is playing for nothing, back the Falcons. If the Buccaneers are playing for something, go with TB.
