During the offseason, the Indianapolis Colts parted ways with Carson Wentz and traded for Matt Ryan. The former NFL MVP had spent his entire career with the Atlanta Falcons. With Matt Ryan under center, and a good draft, many believe the Colts can challenge Buffalo, Kansas City, and the L.A. Chargers for the AFC Championship. That may be true, but it doesn’t mean the Colts will be a great team to back in every game. Check out eight Indianapolis matchups that are must bets this upcoming NFL regular season. Let’s get right to it so you can plan your bets against their NFL Odds.
Indianapolis Colts Must Bet Games During the Regular Season | NFL Betting Picks
2022-23 NFL Regular Season
- When: Sep. 8, 2022 – Jan. 8, 2023
Indianapolis at Jacksonville | Week 2 – Sunday, Sep. 18
If the Colts blow out Houston in week 1, a possibility, Indy will be a huge road favorite versus the Jacksonville Jaguars. The Jags should have a good enough defense to pressure Ryan. As good as Matty Ice is, he’s 37-year-olds. Jacksonville can win this straight up. They should definitely cover the spread.
Indianapolis vs. Tennessee | Week 4 – Sunday, Oct. 2
The Colts should be very tough to beat in games at Lucas Oil Stadium. The Titans will be good, but they’ll rely on a rookie receiver this season, Trey Burks, after trading A.J. Brown to the Eagles. The Colts should win and cover.
Indianapolis vs Jacksonville | Week 6 – Sunday, Oct. 16
Depending on their record, Indianapolis could be an overlay or underlay. Jacksonville will find it difficult to beat the Colts on the road. Indy shouldn’t allow the Jags to stay close. This could be a blowout Indy win.
Indianapolis at Tennessee | Week 7 – Sunday, Oct. 23
By NFL Week 9, we’ll know if the Colts, Titans, or Jags are in the driver’s seat for the AFC South division title. Indianapolis must stop Derrick Henry. If they do, they win and cover. Stopping Henry is a possibility for sure.
Indianapolis at New England | Week 9 – Sunday, Nov. 6
Whether the Colts are in the AFC South division lead or not, this will be an important game for Indy. The Patriots should be in line for a wildcard. So should Indianapolis. New England is a solid club and this happens on their field. Bill Belichick’s squad wins and covers.
Indianapolis at Las Vegas | Week 10 – Sunday, Nov. 13
Like Colts versus Patriots, Las Vegas versus Indianapolis in NFL Week 10 should have playoff implications. The Raiders will be as good, if not better, than Indianapolis. Vegas takes the SU and ATS victories.
Indianapolis vs L.A. Chargers | Week 16 – Monday, Dec. 26
The Bolts are a hot pick to win the Super Bowl. If things work out for Brandon Staley’s squad, Justin Herbert will be on the short-list to win the NFL MVP and the Chargers will be in charge in the loaded AFC West by week 16. That doesn’t mean they beat the Colts in Indianapolis. Ryan provides some of that old magic and the Colts grab a much needed victory and cover.
Indianapolis vs Houston | Week 18 – Sunday, Jan. 8
Indianapolis should dominate Houston in NFL Week 18. First, the Colts are the much better team. Second, Indy may require a win to make the playoffs. Expect a huge Indianapolis victory.
