Just when you think you have the current NFL season figured out, another weekend of surprise results turns everything on its head. We all expected the Cowboys to continue rolling in Week 9, but they ended up getting blown out by Denver. That result was surprising, but nothing like the shockwaves we felt at seeing the Jacksonville Jaguars knock off the Buffalo Bills. It was also a surprise to see the Arizona Cardinals continue to win when you consider that their most impactful offensive players were out with injury. It is more than fair to say that this season is beyond unpredictable, which makes the task of making picks a little trickier. We are at 11-16 ATS on the season, so we will be looking to pick it up in the second half of the season, starting with our NFL Week 10 ATS picks so you can bet against the NFL odds.
Week 10 ATS Picks for the 2021 Season | NFL Betting
Baltimore Ravens (-7 ½) at Miami Dolphins
We are getting the ball rolling early this week by playing an ATS pick in the Thursday night game. The Baltimore Ravens are at 6-2 and sitting atop the AFC North standings, which is no real surprise, but they have had to work hard to get there. They have had a couple of big comeback wins this season already, which shows the ability of their offense. Given that they have been involved in several close games, they are 3-6 ATS in their last 9, and while that is not particularly convincing, they have covered the spread in each of their last 6 visits to Miami. When you consider that Miami is 10-4 ATS in their last 14 at home, their record against Baltimore shows just how dominant the Ravens have been in this matchup. I think that continues this weekend.
Tampa Bay Buccaneers (-10) at Washington Football Team
As we already mentioned, Week 9 was a strange one in terms of results. The defending Super Bowl champions found themselves caught up in that strangeness, going down 36-27 to a New Orleans Saints team playing without their starting QB. That loss ended a 4-game win streak for the Buccaneers and made the race in the NFC North that much tighter. It’s hard to imagine that Tom Brady and company are going to have another off week so soon, despite the fact that they have failed to cover in their last 5 meetings with teams from the NFC East. Washington has been a disappointment this season, especially against the spread, where they are just 1-7. I think that record gets a little worse on Sunday.
Philadelphia Eagles at Denver Broncos (-2 ½)
We are at the stage of the season where we very often see dark horse teams emerge to take a run at the postseason. The races in both conferences are tight at the moment, so it would be possible for several teams to get themselves into a better position by going on a positive run of form. The Denver Broncos are in a position to do that now and come into this game having won each of their last 2 games. It’s a modest streak, to be sure, but another win here might make some people start to take notice. The Eagles are just 1-8 ATS in their last 9 games versus teams from the AFC and have covered just once in their last 5 meetings with Denver.
