For the average NFL fan, the goal is to have a Super Bowl that features the two best teams in the league. For those who feel that way, you certainly can’t argue about this matchup, as it is the #1 seed from each conference taking part in the Super Bowl. The biggest complaint is that we need to wait 2 weeks until we get to the big game, but that is also good, as it gives some time for injured played to get as close to 100% as possible prior to the start of the game. The bookies are not waiting around to see what happens, as they already have the odds on the board for the big game, with the Philadelphia Eagles in as a 2-point favorite and the point total set at 49 ½. It’s still early in the wagering process, so the Super Bowl Odds might change, but let’s take an early look at how things might play out.

Why bet on the Philadelphia Eagles
It is rather funny to think that the Eagles started this season pretty much off the radar, with a lot of fans still feeling as though the jury was still out on Jalen Hurts. While the QB had certainly shown some very positive flashes, any doubts about his ability to be an elite starter were washed away this season. The Eagles only lost 1 game with him in the lineup, with their other 2 losses coming when he was out with a shoulder injury. Looking at the betting, there are some things that definitely look good if you are planning on putting money on the Eagles, starting with the fact that they have won 7 in a row versus non-conference teams. If there is a bit of an issue, it’s that they are just 2-4 ATS in their last 6 games. The UNDER has hit in 5 of their last 6 games, but the OVER has hit in 8 of their last 10 versus the AFC West.
Why bet on the Kansas City Chiefs
If anyone is going to be happy about the 2-week break before the Super Bowl, it would need to be the Kansas City Chiefs. There is no doubt that Patrick Mahomes will play in the big game, but as we saw in the AFC Championship Game, he is far from healthy. He is suffering through a high ankle sprain, and while he is unlikely to be fully fit in 2 weeks, he should be a whole lot better than he was against the Bengals, where he was hobbling on several occasions after throws. The Chiefs come into this one on a 7-game win streak and are a very positive 11-2 SU in their last 13 games versus teams from the NFC East. They have also covered the spread in each of their last 6 games versus non-conference opponents. The OVER has hit in 12 of the last 16 games the Chiefs have started as an underdog.
Expert Pick and Final Score Prediction
It’s a little too soon for me to make an actual final score prediction, but what I can say is that I am leaning towards the Chiefs winning and covering, based on little more than their experience in the Super Bowl.
