Betting 2024 US Open Tennis Tournament

It was a great weekend of tennis action at the 2024 US Open, and there were some big names that saw their runs end.

There were also some big players that were able to move on to the next round, and we are now in the final stages of the tournament.

Tennis is sport that doesn’t always generate a ton of excitement when it comes to betting, but there are some great opportunities that are out there.

Now that we are heading into the fourth round, the matches are going to be even better.

Here is a look at some bets that you want to make at the US Open.

Writer’s Picks fo the Fourth Round of the US Open

No Stopping Swiatek

Iga Swiatek continues to be the biggest name in the sport of women’s tennis, and she has been playing well at the US Open.

She has advanced to the fourth round, and her opponent is going to be Liudmila Samsonova.

It’s been a great feat to see Samsonova get to this stage of the tournament, but that run is going to come to an end in this match.

She just doesn’t have enough talent to compete with Swiatek, and that is why the spread is set at 5.5 for this match.

Swiatek is going to have another dominant performance in this one, and betting on her to cover the spread will be the way to go.

Muchova-Paolini Set to Battle

While Swiatek should have no trouble advancing to the next round, there will be some other matches that are much tighter in the fourth round.

That will be the case when Karolina Muchova is set to take on Jasmine Paolini at the US Open.

There are some tight betting lines for this matchup, and that’s a good way to see what matches should end up being the best.

Muchova comes into this match as the slight favorite at -175, while Paolini is at +145.

This is one of those matches that should be coming down to the wire, and there is a chance to get some real value here.

Going with Muchova feels like the right play based on the odds, but this is a chance to cash in.

Go with Jasmine Paolini to win this match at +145 as she will continue her great run.

Fritz Looking to Upset Zverev

The quarterfinals are also set to begin on the men’s side of the tournament, and it’s a group of matches that won’t have Novak Djokovic in the mix.

The legend was upset in the Round of 16, and that is going to take away some of the excitement from the tournament.

When looking at the quarterfinal matches set to take place, there aren’t many that appear to be that competitive.

Most of the battles have a big betting favorite, but that’s not the case when Taylor Fritz takes on Alexander Zverev.

Fritz has betting odds set at +115, while the odds for Zverev are sitting at -145.

Even though Fritz has been playing some great tennis, it’s a better bet to take Zverev at -145 to win this matchup and move to the final four.

2023 US Open Odds for the Fourth Round Games

Previous Betting News

The US Open moves into the second week on Monday, and the betting picture on the men’s singles side is becoming clearer. The first four quarterfinalists were set on Sunday, and on Monday, the rest of the round of 16 hit the courts.

Led by world No. 1 Carlos Alcaraz, the top of the bracket doesn’t have the American names that played on Sunday, but six of the eight players on the court Monday are seeded.

Check out US Open lines, analysis, and a prediction for the top matches of the Men’s and Women’s Fourth Round events played today.

2023 US Open Tennis Championships | 143rd edition of the US Open
Fourth Round Singles: Monday, September 4th, 2023

Match of the Day

PGA Odds: Zverev +3.5; Sinner -3.5 / Zverev +148; Sinner -191 / O/U 39.5
Monday, September 4th, 2023 at 6:15 pm
Arthur Ashe Stadium, New York City, New York

No. 6 Jannik Sinner against No. 12 Alexander Zverev should be the match of the day on Monday. Sinner reached his first-ever grand slam semifinal at Wimbledon this year before losing to Novak Djokovic, and Zverev is having a resurgent summer after his gruesome 2022 ankle injury.

Sinner kept the momentum going from his Wimbledon run with a title at the Canadian Open Masters 1000 last month. Zverev’s only slam final came at the 2020 US Open, and he made the semis a year later before missing the 2022 event. Zverev reached the semifinals at the French Open this season and won the Hamburg Open, his first title since November 2021.

Sinner is the favorite at MyBookie with a -191 moneyline. Zverev is a +148 underdog, and the total games are 39.5, with both sides at -110. Zverev has a 3-1 head-to-head advantage over Sinner, including a win in the same round of the 2021 US Open.

Zverev has lost a set in each of his last two matches, and both have gone at least 40 games. Sinner has lost one set so far in the tournament, and all his matches have gone under 36 games. Look for both players to win a set, but Sinner is in top form right now and ready to keep going.

Top Seed in Action

No. 1 Carlos Alcaraz takes the court on Monday, but he won’t face a seeded player. Italian Matteo Arnaldi, ranked No. 61 in the world, upset the 18 seed Cam Norrie on Saturday and now faces Alcaraz. The Spaniard, who won Wimbledon, has lost just one set so far in the tournament, and he’s only lost his serve three times.

At MyBookie, Alcaraz is a massive moneyline favorite at -10000. Arnaldi is +1325, and the total games line is set at 26.5, with the under at -102 and the over at -129.

Arnaldi beat Norrie in three sets after winning his second-round match in five sets. These two have never played, and Arnaldi needs to win three games a set to get to the over 26.5. That is the bet to take here, over 26.5, and look for the Italian to hold serve enough to prolong the match.

Medvedev, Rublev Favored

No. 3 seed Daniil Medvedev is a former champion in Flushing Meadows as the 2021 winner. This year, he has reached just one slam quarterfinal but is favored to make another one on Monday. The Russian is -270 at MyBookie to beat Alex de Minaur, who is +202 on the moneyline.

In the other match on Monday, No. 8 seed Andrey Rublev is favored at -284 on the MyBookie moneyline. Jack Draper is a +212 moneyline underdog, as this is the farthest he’s ever gone in a grand slam.

Both men played four-set matches in the third round, and Rublev has the experience with three US Open quarterfinals and two other slam quarters this season.

Serena Williams faces her toughest test yet when she takes on Petra Martic in the US Open Round of 16 on Sunday, Sep. 1. Serena is a big favorite, but Martic has played well during this tournament. Will Serena continue to show her greatness? Check out the tennis odds, analysis, and free picks for the US Open Women’s Tennis Round of 16!

2019 US Open Women’s Tennis Round of 16 Odds, Preview & Picks

When: August 26 – September 8
Where: USTA Billie Jean King National Tennis Center, Flushing Meadows, NY
Surface: Hard
TV: ESPN /ESPN2 / ESPN+

Sunday, Sep. 1

Petra Martic vs. Serena Williams

2019 US Open Odds: Petra Martic +383 / Serena Williams -625

Serena easily handled Karolina Muchova 6-3, 6-2 in her third round match. As opposed to the other majors this year, the greatest women’s tennis player of all time appears to be getting better as the tournament continues. That’s why she’s such a huge favorite over Martic.

Petra has been at the top of her game as well. She dominated Anastasija Sevastova 6-4, 6-3 in Round 3. Martic won’t be intimidated by Williams. She’s a good enough tennis player to push Serena. Although Williams should win, Martic won’t make it easy. Still, it’s hard to see Serena bowing out in the Round of 16.

US Open Women’s Tennis Pick: Serena Williams

Karolina Pliskova vs. Johanna Konta

2019 US Open Odds: Karolina Pliskova -172 / Johanna Konta +129

The most competitive match of the day might be Pliskova versus Konta. Both have played exceptionally well during this tournament. Pliskova gets the odds nod because of her experience and overall great play. However, Konta might be an overlay at +129 because she’s dominated in her last 4 sets played. Johanna gets the call.

US Open Women’s Tennis Pick: Johanna Konta

Ashleigh Barty vs. Qiang Wang

2019 US Open Odds: Ashleigh Barty -434 / Qiang Wang +286

Barty finally put it together. In Round 3, she beat Maria Sakkari 7-5, 6-3. The French Open winner hopes to carry over her excellent form versus tough Qiang Wang. Wang has yet to make a mistake in this tournament. She can upset Barty at decent odds.

US Open Women’s Tennis Pick: Qiang Wang

Madison Keys vs. Elina Svitolina

2019 US Open Odds: Madison Keys -147 / Elina Svitolina +110

Madison Keys got by fellow American Sofia Kenin 6-3, 7-5 in straight sets. That was surprising because Kenin had been playing well. Madison was so impressive that she’s the favorite over the higher-seeded Elina Svitolina. Elina hasn’t been touched in 3 straight matches. She’s cruised into the Round of 16. She offers overlay odds in a match she should win.

US Open Women’s Tennis Pick: Elina Svitolina

Monday, Sep. 2

Donna Vekic vs. Julia Georges

2019 US Open Odds: Donna Vekic -123 / Julia Georges -106

Vekic made quick work of Yulia Putintseva in the third round. That’s why she’s the slight favorite over Julia Georges heading into this Monday match. Georges dominated 7-seed Kiki Bertens 6-2, 6-3, though. She’ll take it to Vekic in this. Tag Georges as the winner.

US Open Women’s Tennis Pick: Julia Georges

Taylor Townsend vs. Bianca Andreescu

2019 US Open Odds: Taylor Townsend +264 / Bianca Andreescu -384

Townsend is a tough tennis player. After upsetting Simona Halep in Round 2, she had every right to fold in the third round against Sorana Cirstea. Instead, she came up big again. The dream could end on Monday, though. Bianca Andreescu is a great player who heads into this off a 6-4, 6-4 beat down of Caroline Wozniacki. Andreescu moves on.

US Open Women’s Tennis Pick: Bianca Andreescu

Krista Ahn vs. Elise Mertens

2019 US Open Odds: Krista Ahn +241 / Elise Mertens -344

American Krista Ahn has looked great at the U.S. Open so far. On Monday, she takes on a dark horse that can win this tournament in Elise Mertens. Mertens ends Ahn’s dream.

US Open Women’s Tennis Pick Elise Mertens

Naomi Osaka vs. Belinda Bencic

2019 US Open Odds: Naomi Osaka -232 / Belinda Bencic +170

Osaka and Cori Gauff battled for the first time this past Saturday night with the 1-seed at the U.S. Open dominating the 15-year-old 6-3, 6-0. Osaka is at the top of her game right now. Belinda Bencic has played well, but she had a walkover against Anet Kontaveit.

Because Naomi got a chance to keep sharp versus an up and comer, she most definitely gets the edge here. Osaka should move on.

US Open Women’s Tennis Pick: Naomi Osaka

When: August 26 – September 8

Sunday, Sep. 1

David Goffin vs. Roger Federer

2019 US Open Odds: David Goffin +384 / Roger Federer -625

Federer got into a groove in his fourth round win over Daniel Evans. He beat Evans 6-2, 6-2, 6-1. Now, he heads into this Sunday match with a lot of momentum. Can FedEx get it done versus the tough David Goffin?

Goffin struggled versus Pablo Carreno-Busta in Round 4. He needed 5 sets to get the win. Goffin should play much better on Sunday, but let’s not kid ourselves. If Federer was going to fold, it would have been earlier in the tournament. Roger’s getting stronger and should easily win on Sep. 1.

US Open Men’s Tennis Pick: Roger Federer

Alex De Minaur vs. Grigor Dimitrov

2019 US Open Odds: Alex De Minaur -232 / Grigor Dimitrov +170

Because De Minaur upset Kei Nishikori, he’ll enter his Round of 16 match a favorite versus Grigor Dimitrov. Dimitrov has played well during this tournament, though. De Minaur could beat him, but, overall, Dimitrov might have the better game. He’s worth backing at the odds.

U.S. Open Men’s Tennis Pick: Grigor Dimitrov

Stan Wawrinka vs. Novak Djokovic

2019 US Open Odds: Stan Wawrinka +373 / Novak Djokovic -588

The top match on the men’s side this Sunday might be Stan Wawrinka versus Novak Djokovic. Wawrinka has challenged Novak in the past. However, it took him 5 sets to get by Paolo Lorenzi on Friday. Djokovic gets the nod in what should be a tight battle.

US Open Men’s Tennis Pick: Novak Djokovic

Daniil Medvedev vs. Dominik Koepfer

2019 US Open Odds: Daniil Medvedev -666 / Dominik Koepfer +396

It’s asking a lot of Dominik Koepfer to upset two higher seeded opponents at the US Open back-to-back. It’s really tough when the second opponent of the back-to-back is the very good Daniil Medvedev. Medvedev had to work to beat Feliciano Lopez. He might have to work here as well, but he should most definitely get the win.

US Open Men’s Tennis Pick: Daniil Medvedev

Monday, Sep. 2

Nadal vs. Cilic

2019 US Open Odds: Marin Cilic +500 / Rafael Nadal -909

It took 30-year-old Marin Cilic 5 sets to get past American Jon Isner. Cilic heads into his Monday battle with Nadal with a lot of confidence. But, the 2-seed at the U.S. Open has yet to be tested. Nadal should cruise into the quarterfinals.

US Open Men’s Tennis Pick: Rafael Nadal

Andujar vs. Monfils

2019 US Open Odds: Pablo Andujar +341 / Gael Monfils -526

Pablo Andujar has played great tennis during this tournament. After a tough Round 1, he handled his opponent in Round 2 and Round 3. Round 4, the Round of 16, is when things get much tougher, though.

However, it took Monfils 8 sets to beat Denis Shapalova in the third round. Andujar might catch Monfils slightly tired. This looks like a possible upset match in the making.

US Open Men’s Tennis Pick: Pablo Andujar

Zverev vs. Schwartzman

2019 US Open Odds: Alexander Zverev -114 / Diego Schwartzman -114

On Monday, Zverev-Schwartzman projects to be the tightest match on the men’s side. Zverev struggled versus Ajaz Bedene. It took Alexander 7 sets to get by Bedene. Schwarztman cruises into the Round of 16 after a 3-set victory over Tennys Sandgren. Diego gets the nod.

US Open Men’s Tennis Pick: Diego Schwartzman

Berrittini vs. Rubley

2019 US Open Odds: Matteo Berrittini +156 / Andrey Rublev -212

21-year-old Andrey Rublev battles 23-year-old Matteo Berrittini in what should be a tight, fantastic, match. Most give the nod to Rublev because he knocked out both Stefanos Tsitsipas and Nick Kyrgios on his way to the Round of 16.

The choice here is Berrittini. Matteo outlasted Alexei Popyrin in Round 3. He can upset the favorite by showing the same guts on Monday he showed against Popyrin.

US Open Men’s Tennis Pick: Matteo Berrittini
