After a couple of days off for Christmas, college basketball will return to action on Tuesday night. That schedule means that we have to adjust how we do our weekly look at the schedule, as we usually pick out a game every day from Monday to Thursday. With nothing happening on Monday night, we will double up on one of the other days this week. There are still plenty of very good matchups to choose from, so we will have no problem picking out 4 games that we like and which we think should get your betting attention. Without further ado, let’s take a look at 4 College Basketball Betting opportunities we like this week.
Men’s NCAA Basketball Betting Picks & Options for the Best Games from Dec. 27th to 29th
Seton Hall Pirates at Marquette Golden Eagles – Tuesday
Marquette ended last week with a spot in the top 25, but after losing their last outing, there is a chance that we might see them drop out with a record of 9-4. They are now 1-1 in conference play and will be looking to improve on that when they welcome in Seton Hall on Tuesday night. The Pirates come into this week sitting at 7-6, but they are also at 0-2 in conference games and in danger of falling way off the pace if they lose this one. This looks like the perfect opportunity for Marquette to get back to winning ways.
Villanova Wildcats at UConn Huskies – Wednesday
Moving on to Wednesday, we have a couple of matchups that we really like, starting with Villanova going on the road to face the #2 team in the nation. It has been a bit of a wobbly start to the season for the Wildcats, who come into this game sitting at 7-5 on the season, which includes a win in their lone conference game to this point. UConn are a perfect 13-0 and 2-0 in conference play. This should be another win for the Huskies, but these conference games can be tough, so keep an eye on the spread in this one.
Alabama Crimson Tide at Mississippi State Bulldogs – Wednesday
The SEC might well be best known for college football, but we have some basketball teams in the conference looking very good this season. Both Alabama and Mississippi State are ranked heading into this week, and you have to say that this is one of the more interesting matchups on the schedule. Alabama has been getting the job done on the offensive side of the court, while the Bulldogs are building their reputation by playing great defense. The point total in this one is going to be something to look out for once the odds go live.
Florida A&M Rattlers at Purdue Boilermakers – Thursday
This is a game that looks to be something of a mismatch, but it is always fun to see how things play out with whoever is sitting at #1 in the nation. Right now, it is Purdue who are leading the way, coming into this week with a perfect 13-0 record. They really shouldn’t have any problems with the 2-8 Rattlers, who have yet to win a road game this season, but we will all be waiting to see what the spread is with this one, as that is where the best betting opportunity for this game is likely to lie.
