The Korn Ferry Tour returns out West for the Utah Championship presented by Zion Bank at Oakridge Country Club in Farmington, Utah. Outside of a two-year absence in 1997 and 1998, the tournament has been played every year since 1990 on what was originally called the Ben Hogan Tour. Since 2017 the event has been played at Oakridge, playing at 4,300 feet above sea level.
Andrew Kozan captured his first KFT victory here last year, defeating Patrick Fishburn and Ashton van Horne. Kozan finished the tournament with a total score of 263 (21-under par) for the one-shot victory. The 24-year-old returns this week to defend his title.
The four-day individual stroke play event begins on Thursday, August 3rd, and ends on Sunday, August 6th. The Utah Championship is one of three remaining regular season KFT events before the playoffs begin at the end of August.
Let’s dive into the golf analysis of the Utah Championship field plus the top favorites to watch out for, look at their Korn Ferry Tour betting odds and find out why they have those lines before placing your next golf bets.

Utah Championship presented by Zion Bank | 34th edition of the Korn Ferry Tour event
Thursday, August 3rd – Sunday August 6th, 2023
Oakridge Country Club, Farmington, Utah
Oakridge Country Club
Oakridge Country Club is a traditional par-72 that tops out at approximately 7,650 that was established in 1957 and is located between Salt Lake City and Odgen, Utah. The course was designed by William F. Bell and William Neff.
Notable features of the course include tree-lined fairways along with green complexes well protected by bunkers. The tight layout requires accuracy off the tee, and the bunkered greens ask for precise approach shots.
Utah Championship Field
The field is strong this week, with seven of the top 10 players on the KFT Points List teeing it up this week. Leading the group is Rico Hoey, who sits at no. 2 in the standings. Hoey, who has already locked up his Tour card for next year, has one win and seven top-10 finishes this season.
Joining Hoey are players 3-5 on the points list, Ben Silverman, Pierceson Coody, and David Skinns. All three have won once already this season, with Coody looking for his third victory of the year and an instant promotion to the PGA Tour.
Rookie Ricky Castillo, who won the Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Kansas Wichita Open in his inaugural KFT event, looks to make a big jump this week from 37th on the points inside the top 30. Castillo has missed the cut in his last two events.

Utah Championship Betting Favorites
Silverman (+1400) leads the group of betting favorites heading into first-round action on Thursday. The Canadian has finished no worse than T11 in his last four events played and was T30 at this tournament last season.
Alejandro Tosti, Jake Knapp, and Jimmy Stanger (+2500) are grouped together, trailing Silverman. Knapp has seven top-10 finishes this season and is knocking on the door of his first KFT victory.
Four players round on the top favorites at +2800. Those pros include Hoey, Castillo, Fishburn, and Frankie Capan III. Fishburn comes in ranked 15th on the points list, closing in on securing his Tour card. Capan III is ranked 38th, one spot behind Castillo, and a high finish could move the 23-year-old inside the top 30.
