With the PGA Tour back in Texas for the third time this season, it’s time to offer up another links preview and some expert betting picks, this time, on the 2017 Texas Open. If you’re looking to cash in on one of the longest standing events in PGA Tour history, let’s get started.

Here’s A Closer Look At The PGA Valero Texas Open Betting Preview

The 2017 Valero Texas Open

When: Thursday, April 20, 2017 at 1:00 PM ET
Where: TPC San Antonio AT&T Oaks
TV: GOLF, CBS

Charley Hoffman

Hoffman won lat year’s Texas Open and will be back in the mix to win again seeing as how he finished in the top five in 2013 and was the runner-up in 2011. At 20/1 odds, Hoffman is a must-bet in this affair.

Matt Kuchar

I’ve already picked Kuchar to win his first tournament in three years twice this season and I guess if I keep on picking ‘Kooch’ he’ll get it done at some point.

DYK Moment

Did You Know that the Texas Open is the sixth oldest golf tournament in the world and dates back to 1922?

Jimmy Walker

Walker won the Texas Open in 2015 and has a win and third place finish among his other appearances, although he’s missed the cut three times including last year.

Kevin Chappell

Chappell finished tied for seventh at the Masters and tied for fourth at the Texas Open last year. Chappell also finished tied for second in 2011. It’s possible Chappell could get his first PGA Tour win this coming weekend.

Brendan Steele

Steele recorded his first ever PGA Tour win at the Texas Open in 2011 and has two additional top 10 finishes at the event.

Daniel Summerhays

Summerhays isn’t the longest hitter on the PGA Tour, but he’s deadly accurate when he wants to be. Beside, he’s finished tied for seventh, tied for second, tied for fourth and tied for 13th in his last four Texas Open appearances.

Ryan Palmer

Palmer finished 11th in the RBC Heritage lat week and has finished in the top-15 in three of his last four appearances at the Valero Texas Open.

I’m going with a pick for Kevin Chappell to win the 2017 Texas Open, followed by picks for longshot, Daniel Summerhays and last but not least, Matt Kuchar.

Here is a look at the complete list of odds to win the 2017 Texas Open.
