Betting 2024 LIV Golf United Kingdom | Know the Basics

LIV Golf will head to the United Kingdom in England, where JCB Golf and Country Club will be the host of the event.

The par 72, 7,084 yard course will feature 48 players, and be played over 54 holes.

The prize fund for the individual tournament is $20M, with the team pool being $5.

Cameron Smith is the defending champion, at -15 a season ago.

Let’s take a look at the 2024 LIV Golf United Kingdom Odds, Top 3 and pick to win the event:

Writer’s Picks for the 2024 United Kingdom

Bryson DeChambeau +700

Ranked 9th in the world, Bryson had high hopes heading into Royal Troon to win his second major of the year.

A 76 on day 1 and a 75 on day 2 ended those hopes rather quickly.

DeChambeau has shown signs of ups and downs all season.

Following his win for over $4M at the US Open, he backed it up with third place at Nashville, and 9th in Andalucia.

You never know, but usually he is in the mix when the final day arrives.

Jon Rahm +700

Rahm is 10th in the world, and came roaring into the Top 10 at Royal Troon.

He finished the final day with a 68 and tied for 7th.

He won over $450K with the weekend success.

Rahm still is one of the best in the world with his skills all over the course.

Before his finish at the Open, he went 10th place at Andalucia, and third in Nashville.

Rahm comes into the event right with DeChambeau as the favorite.

Tyrell Hatton +900

Hatton comes into the event ranked 25th in the world.

His frustrations boiled over at Royal Troon, where he did not make the cut, after shooting 150 over the first two days.

In Andalucia prior to this, he was solid with back to back sub 70’s to go for third and win $1.5M.

In Nashville, he won the event with 65, 64, 65.

Hatton is a hot and cold type of player that sometimes is in his own head.

He will look to clear the Royal Troon demons quickly as he heads into the UK.

Others in Consideration:

  • Joaquin Niemann +800
  • Sergio Garcia +1400
  • Dean Burmester +1800
  • Cam Smith +1800
  • Patrick Reed +1800
  • Carlos Ortiz +2000
  • Brooks Koepka +2000
  • Louis Oosthuizen +2000

When push comes to shove, we are going to go back with Cam Smith.

Now, don’t get us wrong, Smith was terrible last week.

He did not make the cut, and had a miserable two days.

But, obviously familiar with the course, and eager to get going again, he is our first pick at +1800.

Our second pick is Brooks Koepka at +2000.

Koepka is certainly getting older, but still has plenty left in the tank.

At 20/1, he is a nice pick to win this event.

There you have it. Those are our LIV Golf United Kingdom betting odds, top 3 and picks to win the event.

We expect the event to be a great one, and are excited to see what will happen.

Enjoy the golf and best of luck with all your betting!

Workday Charity Open – Golf Odds & Picks

Previous Betting News

With the 2020 PGA Tour season heading into its fifth week of action following its coronavirus restart, it’s time to identify the players that look like they’ll have the best chances of finding their way into the winner’s circle this coming weekend. While the blossoming Bryson DeChambeau isn’t in the field after winning the 2020 Rocket Mortgage Classic, last weekend, a handful of the world’s best golfers will all have a shot to win at Muirfield on Sunday. With this event quickly approaching, let’s find out who’s looking good, along with their PGA odds.

Odds to Win 2020 PGA Workday Charity Open

No. 5 Xander Schauffele

11th in the official world rankings, Schauffele has recorded four Top-10 finishes in 11 events this year with only one missed cut. The 26-year-old American finished 20t in his last event at the Travelers Championship in June following an uninspiring 64t place finish at the RBC Heritage one week earlier. Schauffele did finish third at the Charles Schwab Challenge just prior to his last two appearances and I’m going with the talented golfer to challenge for the outright win this weekend.

No. 4 Patrick Cantlay

Currently eighth in the world rankings, Cantlay comes into this event riding the wave of a fine, five-match streak of Top 20 finishes, including a fourth place finish at the Sentry Tournament of Champions in January and an 11th place finish at the Travelers Championship to close out June. Simply put, I like the value that the talented, but polarizing Cantlay is offering heading into the 2020 Workday Charity Open. More importantly, Cantlay won the 2019 Memorial Open at Muirfield and I believe he knows this course well enough to win on it again in this event.

No. 3 Justin Rose

Currently in 13th place in the golf world rankings, Rose comes into this event off an uninspiring missed cut at the Travelers Championship to close out June following a 14th place finish at the RBC Heritage a week prior. Rose did finish third in the Charles Schwab Challenge prior to those two events and he’s got plenty of history at Muirfield. With an extra week off, I’m expecting a good showing from Rose that puts him in the mix for the win.

No. 2 Justin Thomas

The prohibitive favorite and world No. 5 recorded a pair of Top10 finishes at the Charles Schwab Challenge and RBC Heritage, but underwhelmed in missing the cut at the Travelers Championship to close out June. Still, Thomas, ranks fourth in birdies per round and a decent 50th in driving distance and that, combined with the fact that he’s one of the purest ball strikers on tour tells me he’s going to have a realistic shot to cash in as the prohibitive favorite.

No. 1 Brooks Koepka

Currently ranked sixth in the world rankings, Koepka comes into this event off a solid seventh place finish at the RBC Heritage in mid-June. Koepka had to pull out of the Travelers Championship because his caddie, Ricky Elliott, tested positive for COVID-19, but I think the extra time off could work to his advantage in this event. More importantly, with young Bryson DeChambeau recently earning the unofficial title of ‘best golfer in the world’ I’m expecting Koepka to put on an ‘Instant Classic’ kind of performance to win the 2020 Workday Charity Open!
