San Francisco 49ers Offense

San Francisco boasts one of the league’s most balanced offenses. The 49ers’ passing and rushing attacks are equally effective.

Although Brock Purdy is a young quarterback, he plays like a 10-year veteran. Purdy has thrown for 2,662 yards and 18 touchdowns to just 5 interceptions. Brock completed over 84% of his passes against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in San Francisco’s last, a 27-14 victory.

Christian McCaffrey leads a rushing attack that averages close to 134 yards per game. McCaffrey has already rushed for over 800 yards and scored 9 rushing touchdowns.

Deebo Samuel, Brandon Ayuik, and Greg Kittle make for one of the best receiving corps in the NFL. When the offensive line, led by future hall of famer Trent Williams, is healthy, look out. The 49ers can easily score more than 30 points.

San Francisco 49ers Defense

San Francisco’s defense has begun to creep up to where it usually resides, ranked first in the NFL. The Niners rank fifth in total yards allowed per and third in rushing yards allowed per.

But San Francisco ranks first in points allowed per game and, in arguably the most important category, first in takeaways. The Niners have produced 19 takeaways this season.

Fred Warner is one of the best linebackers in the league while Nick Bosa and Chase Young, former Ohio State teammates in college, makes for the best tandem of defensive ends in football. The secondary is also incredibly talented.

Seattle Seahawks Offense

Seattle’s offense ranks in the top 20 in yards per game, but the Seahawks only score 21.6 points per matchup. One of the problems is that Seattle rushes on average for less than 97 yards each game.

The rushing woes are inexplicable. Kenneth Walker is a terrific running back. Charles Cross is one of the best offensive lineman in the NFL.

Geno Smith has had a decent season, but he hasn’t come close to the 2022 season stats. Geno has thrown 7 picks to just 12 TDs. Smith completed just 64% of his passes in Seattle’s last game, a surprising 17-16 loss to the Rams.

Seattle Seahawks Defense

Re-signing Seahawks legend Bobby Wagner has helped Seattle against the rush. However, the Hawks allow 21.8 points per game, which is .2 points more than what Seattle scores on offense.

The defense gives up 233 passing yards per game. Sometimes, the defense is plain bad like in the 31-13 home loss to the Rams in NFL Week 1 or the 37-3 loss to the Ravens.

Other times this season, the defense has stepped it up. Overall, Seattle’s defense is difficult to trust.

Seattle Seahawks vs San Francisco 49ers Final Betting Prediction

One team is on a slide and the other is motoring. Seattle remains a game behind San Francisco in the NFC West but the Seahawks have lost 2-of-3 and are 3 points away from going 0-3 straight up in their last 3.

The win, a 29-26 game versus Washington, didn’t impress. The Seahawks defense struggled to get to Sam Howell. On Thursday Night Football, Seattle faces one of the best offensive lines in football.

Getting to Brock Purdy will be a massive challenge. So we shouldn’t hold our breath and expect the Seahawks to suddenly wake up and stop one of the top offenses in football. Purdy, Deebo, McCaffrey and Kittle should dominate.
