It’s Sunday Night Football for Week 10 of the National Football League, and it’s the New York Jets and the Las Vegas Raiders meeting up. These two teams have had plenty of ups and downs to their 2023 season, but in the end, both still have outside chances to reach the postseason out of the AFC. That makes this game a big game from Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas.
The New York Jets could not have looked worse last week in the Monday Night Football loss to the Los Angeles Chargers. The Jets were smoked from start to finish, and missed a great chance with both the Dolphins and Bills losing games in their division. The Jets are now 4-4 on the season.
For the Raiders, they looked great last week. It was their first game since firing head coach Josh McDaniels, and they smacked the New York Giants. The win for the Raiders made them 4-5 on the season, and just ½ game behind the Chargers for second place in the AFC West.
The Jets, despite being on the road in this game are favorites in this game. The Jets are listed at -1.5. The total for this game is listed at 36.5 points.

New Look for Raiders
Antonio Pierce is a breath of fresh air for the Las Vegas Raiders. Things were not great for the Raiders under McDaniels, and the loss to the Lions in Detroit was the final straw. That loss sent them to 3-5, with back to back losses to the Bears and Lions. Now, the Raiders will look to win their second straight game before a tough portion of their schedule awaits.
Road not Easy for Raiders
The Raiders will head to South Beach next week and take on the Miami Dolphins. Then, after Thanksgiving, Vegas will come home and host the Kansas City Chiefs. After a week off, the Raiders have a home game against the Minnesota Vikings, before the Los Angeles Chargers come to town. Then, the Raiders go to Kansas City and Indianapolis.
If the Raiders are going to reach the postseason, they are going to have to earn it with their play on the field, as the schedule is one of the toughest in the league.
O’Connell Time in Vegas
Aidan O’Connell is the quarterback of choice for the Las Vegas Raiders. The former Purdue star did not throw a touchdown, but kept the offense moving in the win over the Giants. O’Connell finished the game with 209 passing yards. The biggest key in the win over the Giants was the ability to get Josh Jacobs going again. The leading rusher from a season ago ran the football 26 times, for 98 yards and two touchdowns.
The Raiders would like to get Davante Adams back and going with the offense. The former Packers receiver was not traded at the deadline, and will be key for this offense in the final half of the season. Adams, despite recent struggles, still leads the team with 573 yards on 51 receptions. He has three touchdown catches, while teammate Jakobi Meyers has five via the pass and another on the ground.
Jets Missing Rodgers Big Time
There was never a more glaring time for the New York Jets to be missing Aaron Rodgers than the loss on Monday Night Football. The Jets could simply get nothing going with Zach Wilson leading the charge behind center.
Wilson has thrown just five touchdowns in eight games this season, with five interceptions as well. Wilson has also been sacked 31 times already. The Jets saw Rodgers play in four snaps in the first game of the season, before losing him for most of the season. New York has yet to use any other quarterback.
Rest of the Offense
Breece Hall is the guy in the run game. He started the season sharing time with Dalvin Cook, but as of late it has been all Hall. The running back has two touchdowns on the season, including a long 83 yarder earlier in the season. Cook has 43 carries, but has yet to score a touchdown this season.
In the receiving game, the main man is Garrett Wilson. Wilson has 46 receptions, 549 yards and two touchdowns on the season. Tyler Conklin has emerged as the second threat, as the tight end has 293 yards on the season as well. Allen Lazard is third, with 273 yards in 2023.
Defense Keeping Jets Alive
There is absolutely no doubt the reason the New York Jets are 4-4 is because of their defense. New York is 8th in the league allowing 19.5 points per game. In the four wins for the Jets this season, they are allowing 15.25 points per game. In the four losses, the team is allowing just shy of 25 per game.
The Jets will play at the Buffalo Bills next Sunday, and then have a quick turn around, as they will battle the Dolphins on Black Friday.
Raiders Top Jets on Primetime
There is no good reason the New York Jets should be favorites in this game. The Raiders are not great, but with their two offensive weapons, that is enough to win this game. The Raiders are at home, and they have the momentum from a big win last week. Look for Vegas to ground and pound early with Jacobs, but find a chance for Adams to catch some big passes late.
Adams gets the job done with his former quarterback Rodgers on the sideline. The Las Vegas Raiders moneyline is the bet to make in this game in Week 10. Enjoy the game and good luck. We hope Week 10 games are great, and leave us excited for the primetime games, and the schedule going forward!
