NFL Kansas City Chiefs Offense In-Depth Betting Analysis

NFL Kansas City Chiefs Offense In-Depth Betting Analysis

The Kansas City Chiefs head to July’s training camp offering the lowest odds of any thirty-two teams to win the Super Bowl. The defending champs appear loaded on offense, which is why not only is KC the chalk to win the Lombardi Trophy, but quarterback Patrick Mahomes is the favorite to repeat as NFL MVP.

Will the Chiefs’ offense get it done? Check out an in-depth NFL betting lines and analysis for the Chiefs’ offense.

2023 Kansas City Chiefs Offense In-Depth Betting Analysis | MyBookie NFL Preview

Kansas City Chiefs: 54th season in the NFL
Owner: The Hunt family
Head Coach: Andy Reid
Home Field: Arrowhead Stadium | Kansas City, Missouri

Super Bowl Odds: +590

Chiefs’ Offensive Changes During the Offseason

Two significant changes happened on the KC Chiefs’ offense. First, Kansas City’s starting left tackle in 2022-2023, Orlando Brown Jr., bolted to AFC rival Cincinnati.

KC reached a deal with former Tampa Bay left tackle Donovan Smith. Second, wide receiver JuJu Smith-Schuster is no longer a Chief.

Kadarius Toney will take Smith-Schuster’s starting spot. Another change, although not as significant as Brown Jr. and Smith-Schuster finding employment elsewhere, Isaiah Pacheco, who split-time last season, lists as the RB1.

Kansas City Chiefs Quarterbacks Analysis

Must we have a discussion about Magic Mahomes? Hands down, the KC quarterback is the best in the NFL. He’s already one of the best to ever play the game and he doesn’t turn 28 until Sep 17.

Mahomes can make it work with any group of receivers. He leads his targets to open spots. If the Chiefs repeat as Super Bowl Champions this season, Patrick will be the main reason.

If Mahomes goes down, the Chiefs’ season is over.

Kansas City Chiefs Offensive Line Analysis

Most rank Kansas City’s offensive line near the top of O-lines. However, for the second straight season, Mahomes must play with a new left tackle.

Donovan Smith’s pass pressure ranking is seventeenth in the NFL. Smith ranked fifteenth last season when allowing 6 sacks. Smith also had 12 penalties.

Brown Jr. had 6 penalties and allowed just 4 sacks last season. So although Donovan Smith is a decent left tackle, he’s a downgrade from Orlando Brown Jr.

Kansas City Chiefs Wide Receivers Room Analysis

Marques Valdez-Scantling is an underrated wide receiver. Kadarius Toney is decent and Skyy Moore could take a forward step.

But although those three are good receivers, the top receiver in the room is Travis Kelce. The tight-end is the best in the league. Unless Kelce suffers an injury, Mahomes is going to Travis’ well more than any other.

Kansas City Chiefs Running Backs Room Analysis

Isaiah Pacheco is a blur. The man runs like The Flash. He’s quick, has moves, and is an excellent pass-catcher out of the backfield.

Jerrick McKinnon and Clyde-Edwards Helaire are decent back-ups. No doubt, coach Andy Reid is going to find ways to get McKinnon onto the field with Pacheco at the same time.

Kansas City Points Scored & Yards Per Game Range Prediction

The Chiefs ranked first in both yards and points per game. Kansas City should have as good of an offense, but the change at left tackle could shave a few yards off the Chiefs total of 413.

Kansas City will also average less points than they did last season. Again, Donovan Smith is a decent tackle but there should be a drop off from Orlando Brown Jr.

Chiefs Yard Per Game Range: 404 – 408

Chiefs Points Scored Range: 25 – 28

QB Patrick Mahomes to Win NFL MVP: +590

The odds make Mahomes the favorite. However, that doesn’t mean Patrick offers underlay odds.

Magic Mahomes is the best player in the NFL. He’s the one quarterback that can take over a game. So if Joe Burrow is at +670 and Josh Allen is at +760, Mahomes offers fair odds at +590.

The key is handicapping Donovan Smith. If you believe Smith has one of the best seasons of his career, Mahomes, for sure, could repeat as NFL MVP.

Jakobi Meyers is now in Las Vegas, and his presence should open things up even more for Adams.
