Another week of NFL action is in the books, and it was yet another week of surprise results. It really is now getting to the point where consistently taking the underdog seems like the best plan of action. It is tough to pinpoint a single team that looks to be a class above the rest, although you do have to say that the Tennessee Titans are starting to make some noise that has put them on the radar of bettors and football fans. What we are saying here is that trends seem to mean nothing, making it harder to pick winners, but that is all part of the challenge of making picks, which is why we keep in coming back for more. It’s time now to look ahead to Week 11, so let’s get to our ATS picks for this weekend’s NFL Betting action.
Week 11 ATS Picks for the 2021 Season | NFL Betting
New England Patriots (-6 ½) at Atlanta Falcons
We spoke about the Tennessee Titans at the top of this piece, but perhaps we should also give a mention to the New England Patriots. With each passing week, Mac Jones looks more comfortable under center, and you have to say that he has played a major part in the Patriots reeling off 4 straight wins to get to 6-4 on the season. The Falcons, who are 4-5, are basically where we expected to be, and while they are coming off a thumping at the hands of the Cowboys, they are still not an easy out. The Patriots have been a good ATS pick of late, covering in 4 of their last 5 games, whilst also covering the spread in each of their last 6 versus the Falcons. Atlanta is 2-4 ATS in their last 6 home meetings with the Patriots.
Baltimore Ravens (-6) at Chicago Bears
Among the many surprises that we saw in Week 10, you have to say that the Baltimore Ravens 22-10 loss to the Miami Dolphins in primetime was high on the shocker list. Perhaps it shouldn’t have been, though, as the Ravens have now lost 2 of 3 and have managed to dig out of double-digit deficits more often than they should have to. They have not looked entirely convincing for most of the season, but I still feel that they are a good bet this weekend. While they have only covered once in their last 5 games overall, the Ravens are 6-3 ATS in their last 9 meetings with the Bears. The Bears are 4-5 ATS this season, including 2-2 at home, but they are also a bit of a fragile team, as they have now lost 4 in a row. It would not be a surprise to see Baltimore win by a TD.
Indianapolis Colts at Buffalo Bills (-7)
It is very rare to see any team make it through the season without falling into some sort of rough patch of form. Very often, it is the timing of that loss of form that is important, as getting into a tough spot late in the season can have an impact on how a team performs once the playoffs roll around. We are still awaiting more evidence, but the 45-17 win that the Bills delivered against the Jets this past weekend suggests that they are back in business after 2 losses in 3 games. This week, they are up against a Colts team that has won 4 of their last 5, but I think home field advantage comes into play here for the Bills. Buffalo has won 10 of their last 11 at home and look set to improve on that this weekend.
