NBA Playoffs Odds, Picks and Prediction for Philadelphia 76ers vs Brooklyn Nets: Round 1, Game 2

NBA Playoffs Odds, Picks and Prediction for Philadelphia 76ers vs Brooklyn Nets: Round 1, Game 2

The Brooklyn Nets will take on the Philadelphia 76ers in Philadelphia on Monday night for their second game of the first round of the Eastern Conference NBA Playoffs. Philadelphia was able to come away with an impressive win in game one, beating the Nets by 20 points. Given the type of team that Philadelphia has compared to Brooklyn, it’s not surprising to see the 76ers dominate this series.

Big man Joel Embiid did a great job finding his way out of double teams on Saturday, and it should be expected that he’s going to do the same thing once again on Monday. MyBookie currently has the 76ers as a 10-point favorite, a -520 favorite on the moneyline, and a point total of 213.5.

We will now preview the game plus our betting prediction for this Eastern Conference basketball contest. Keep reading for NBA betting lines, analysis, and a free pick for 76ers vs Nets.

Philadelphia Should Win This Game

The Philadelphia 76ers are the much better team in this series, and it would make sense if they find a way to dominate the rest of the way. Although Brooklyn might get a game, Philadelphia should at least win this game on their home court. That should help them win this series in either four or five games.

When looking at what the 76ers did on Saturday, it’s impressive that they were able to come away with such an easy win. They didn’t necessarily have a huge game from their star Joel Embiid as he only finished with 26 points. Saying he finished with only 26 points sounds crazy, but he’s typically a guy that scores in the mid-30s.

However, Philadelphia was able to get major contributions from beyond the three-point line as they hit 21 threes and shot nearly 50% from beyond the arc. Brooklyn also had an efficient game in terms of scoring, but it wasn’t nearly enough to get past Philadelphia. If Philadelphia can continue knocking down wide-open jump shots just like they did on Saturday, this is a series that Brooklyn is going to have a very tough time in.

They’re looking for anybody but Joel Embiid to beat them, and Philadelphia showed they can do that.

Brooklyn Could Steal a Game

The Brooklyn Nets have had one of the more interesting seasons in the NBA. Quite frankly, if this team didn’t make the moves that they did during the trade deadline, we could be looking at a much different scenario right now. However, this current Brooklyn Nets team might not have been a playoff team if they had this same roster throughout the entire year. They were given a huge handicap by Kevin Durant and Kyrie Irving, so it’s not surprising that they do find themselves in the playoffs.

Still, this is an interesting team that can get going if things do perfectly go their way. They’re going to need much more out of certain guys in terms of scoring, as Mikal Bridges can’t be the only one that’s getting the job done.

(3) 76ers vs (6) Nets 2023 Playoffs Round 1 Game 2 Betting Preview Prediction

Philadelphia should find a way to win this game outright, at the very least. However, taking the Nets with the 10 points doesn’t seem like a bad idea. Brooklyn should come out with a better sense of urgency and find a way to at least keep this one close. They might not win this game, but seeing them cover wouldn’t be a surprise.
