Super Bowl 56 Odds to Win
Do the Kansas City Chiefs offer overlay or underlay odds?
At +105, Kansas City is an underlay to win Super Bowl LVI. Make no mistake, the Chiefs can take the championship for sure, but KC had to lay it all on the line to get past Josh Allen and the Buffalo Bills in the divisional round.
On Sunday, KC faces the Cincinnati Bengals in the AFC Championship. Joe Burrow and the Bengals beat the Chiefs 34-31 at Arrowhead during the regular season. Burrow knows what he must do to move the ball against Kansas City’s defense.
So Kansas City must beat a team they lost to during the regular season just to make the final game. Then, to win the Super Bowl, KC must go against the Rams or 49ers, both of which have very good defenses.
How about the Rams? Overlay or underlay?
The odds on the Rams are fair. We can’t say Los Angeles offers overlay odds because they must beat San Francisco, a division rival that beat them twice during the season.
We can’t say the odds are at an underlay number because Los Angeles beat the Tampa Bay Buccaneers at Raymond James Stadium to march into the NFC Championship.
The Rams are a good enough team to win the Super Bowl and they offer fair odds. So if you like LAR, you’re not getting a ton of value but you’re not betting on an underlay, either.
Which team between the San Francisco 49ers and Cincinnati Bengals is the better Super Bowl play?
Both teams are worth a look.
The 49ers might be the most complete team in the playoffs. San Francisco has the best offensive player left, that’s for sure.
Kansas City, Cincinnati, and the Rams don’t have a player as gifted as Deebo Samuel. Deebo is the best offensive player in the NFL who doesn’t play quarterback.
The Niners defense is also healthy, which is why San Francisco is worth a long look at +390 odds. Backing San Francisco at those odds constitutes value.
But if you’re looking for the most bang for your buck, go with the Bengals. Cincinnati is an overlay at +750.
Look at Joe Burrow’s playoff stat lines for why. Versus the Las Vegas Raiders, Burrow completed 24-of-34 for 244 yards and threw 2 TDs. The Bengals beat the Raiders 26-19.
Then in the divisional round versus the Titans in Tennessee, Burrow completed 28-of-37 for 348 yards and an interception. Cincinnati beat Tennessee 19-16.
Burrow hasn’t thrown for 400 yards and 4 TD passes and the Bengals still won, which tells us Cincinnati’s defense has stepped it up big time.
We know what the former Heisman Trophy winner is capable of doing, which is why the odds on Cincinnati to win the Super Bowl have fallen the most among the NFL’s final four. If you think Burrow and the Bengals win the Lombardi Trophy, grab the +750 before the odds fall further.
I have read enough, I need to place my bet now. What to do?
