Betting the PGA Tour | What is Left of ther Tour

The 2024 PGA Tour is coming to an end.

The FedEx St. Jude Championship at TPC Southwind in Memphis is going on this weekend.

That event has $20M in prize money, and 2,000 FedEx Cup points on the line.

Then there are a few more big events through September.

There are some events after the Tour Championship, but that is the tournament that concludes the 2024 season.

Let’s take a look at the remaining PGA Tour events for 2024:

BMW Championship

This used to be held near Chicago, but at this point, it is at Castle Pines Golf Club in Denver Colorado.

The BMW Championship will feature the Top 50 players in the world getting together.

After this event, the top 30 players in the world will head to the final event, which is the Tour Championship.

While this is not considered one of the majors in the golf season, this is a massive event, which features the best golfers in the world.

There can be some pretty decent moving and shaking of the FedEx Cup standings with this event.

A season ago, Viktor Hovland won the event at 263.

That was 17 under par, as he beat Matt Fitzpatrick and Scottie Scheffler by two strokes at Olympia Fields.

Some of the best players in the world are going to be here battling it out.

TOUR Championship

The final event of the 2024 season will be held at East Lake Golf Club in Atlanta.

The par 70, 7,346 yard course will be the event for the top 30 players on the tour.

Viktor Hovland also won this event last season.

This has a slightly different format, as it takes the top of the FedEx cup standings, and starts them at -10, and works its way down through all the 30 players in the event.

This gives the opportunity for those that have been playing the best golf this season, a better opportunity to be the tour champion for the season.

This is the event that will wrap up the FedEx Cup standings for the season.

Rory Mcllroy has won this event three times, with his most recent coming in 2022.

He beat out Sung-jae Im and Scottie Scheffler. The winner in 2021 was Patrick Cantley, as he took down Jon Rahm.

Contenders to Win Tour Championship

Scottie Scheffler
He is running away with the FedEx Cup standings. He will be the leader when they head to Atlanta. Scheffler will be the odds on favorite.

Xander Schauffele
The second best player in the world behind Scheffler has had a monster season. He has won two major tournaments this season, and seems to be in the hunt for basically every event he plays in.

Rory Mcllroy
Rory is no stranger to the Tour Championship, and how it will work. He continues to play great golf. He has had some chances to have even better results, in an already solid season for him.

Collin Morikawa
He will come in fourth on the standings. He is not too far behind Mcllroy for the third spot. He should not have any problem keeping the fourth spot.

Wyndham Clark
Clark has had a busy but successful summer. He is one of just seven players on the tour with 2,000+ FedEx cup points as they head to the BMW Championship.

Procore Championship

The FedEx Cup Fall edition will start at the ProCore Championship at Silverado Resort and Spa.

The North Course will be the host of the first event. The fall season will run through November.

There are golf tournaments in December, but none of them will count towards the FedEx Cup standings.

Presidents Cup

The Presidents Cup will be held from September 24th – September 29th.

In 2022 it was held in Charlotte. This season though, it will go to Royal Montreal Golf Club in Canada.

The scoring system for this event is match play.

Both the United States team and the international team will have 12 members on their squad.

The Presidents Cup does not award prize money, but there certainly is a cup, and pride for the winning country.

Players will be test on the par-71 track that stretches over 7,400 yards and has numerous water hazards around the property.

Played at the Detroit Golf Club, the 36 hole property features a North and South layout. Both courses were designed by Donald Ross in 1918. The North Course hosts the tournament and is the flattest course on Tour.

The victor grabs 500 FedEx Cup points, two-year exemption on Tour, and $1.512 million of the $84 million purse. Nate Lashley was the innagural champion, with Bryson DeChambeau winning in 2022. Cameron Davis returns as the defending champion.
