Top Games Next Week: Is it Worth Betting On Orioles v Guardians, Rockies v Braves MLB Series?

Heading into next week, there will be less than 30 games left in the Major League Baseball season. For those teams that are still in the hunt for a playoff spot, each game is crucial. Now that there are six playoff teams in each league, there are more teams that are still alive in the playoff race.

In looking at the betting aspect of next week’s schedule, we’ve found some games that we are going to analyze and let you know whether or not it’s worth your time and money to place a wager on those games. Let’s jump right into action so you can plan your bets against the MLB Odds.

To Bet Or Not To Bet on Next Week’s Major League Baseball Games Series

Baltimore Orioles @ Cleveland Guardians

These two will meet in a three-game series starting on Tuesday. Cleveland currently holds a four-game lead in their division over the Chicago White Sox and Minnesota Twins. Unless something crazy happens, in order to get into the playoffs, you’ll have to win the American League Central. With that being said, the Guardians know that they can’t afford to let their divisional lead slip away.

Baltimore is on the outside looking in when it comes to the playoffs. They’re currently 2.5 games out of the last wild card spot. The Orioles haven’t been playing their best baseball as of late, and as a road team, they’re seven games under 500.

In looking at this series, we give the advantage to the Guardians. They’re sending arguably their top three pitchers to the mound in this series. Cal Quantrill has been very good as of late, and has a 10-5 record. Triston McKenzie was lights-out in his last outing, striking out 14 in a win over the White Sox. Shane Bieber has had his ups and downs, but was the hard-luck loser in his last start.

The Orioles will counter with Spenser Watkins, Jordan Lyles, and Kyle Bradish. Bradish currently sports a 6.25 ERA.

We like Cleveland to win this series. With Cleveland’s pitching being better, and them being at home, we give them the advantage.

Colorado Rockies @ Atlanta Braves

Don’t look now, but here come the Atlanta Braves. They’re one of the hottest teams in baseball right now, and they’ve climbed to within 1.5 games of the division-leading New York Mets. While the Braves expect to be heavily favored in this matchup, we still like them a lot.

The Braves are 42-24 at Truist Field this season. Colorado is one of the worst road teams in baseball, as they’ve compiled a 18-39 record away from Coors Field. We also have to mention that the Braves are sending their top three starters to the mound in this series. Max Fried, Kyle Wright, and the favorite to win the National League Rookie of the Year Award, Spencer Strider, will be taking the mound in this three-game set.

The Rockies starters have struggled on the road, and this series looks to be no exception. Journeyman starter Jose Urena will take the mound in Game 1. He’ll be followed by Ryan Feltner and his 5.88 ERA, and Kyle Freeland and his 4.93 ERA.

We know that you won’t get great value with the Braves, but we see this as an easy way to make some money. It’ll cost you upfront, but your investment will pay dividends in the end.
